A list of puns related to "Ocular rosacea"
Several days ago I've been diagnosed with rosacea and I'm taking soolantra since (unfortunately still in the die off and purging stage but I hope that will settle soon). I also realised that my eyes are often burning, stinging and red - especially in the evening and night. My suspicion is (due to the fact that I have rosacea on my nose/ cheeks) it is ocular rosacea. I called my derm but the erliest appointment he could offer is in about three weeks. How do you treat ocular rosacea? Are there any over the counter things that worked for you and that I could try while waiting for seeing my derm?
Hello all, wanted to see if I could gather some insight. I've recently had VBeam to help with my rosacea on my cheeks, chin and nose. They let me know that they could do my eyelids too. I opted not to this time... I have ocular rosacea and it's the worst of everything I have. Has anyone used VBeam to help it? I had just started reading about IPL and how it's been used to help. Any personal stories would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I used to be able to use Avene Retrinal eye cream and a variety of others, but lately my eyes are so incredibly sensitive that everything irritates them. The only cream that I can use is Avene's Soothing Eye Contour cream.
That's fine, but I'm just curious if anyone out there with a similar condition has suggestions that work for them. In a perfect world, I'd find something that would lighten my dark circles...
Edit: just wanted to clarify, most of the irritation usually manifests as blepharitis on my eyelids and not really stinging of my actual... eyeballs.
I was wondering if any of you would be so kind to share your experience with ocular rosacea, if it's similar to mine? I have type 2, but it's relatively new to me. Since September, I've had some ongoing eye issues. I've seen my primary doctor, the optometrist, and the dermatologist (I'm seeing her again here soon). Optometrist thinks it's not ocular rosacea because there's no lid involvement, dermatologist thinks it could be and is going to check back up. My primary doctor called in an antibiotic drop that obviously didn't help. Basically I've had what feels like pink eye. It's itchy, it's irritated, it's red, it's watery. I wake up and it's goopy and crusty. Sometimes I feel like there's something in it. Both eyes are affected, but one is worse. But as I said, there's no eyelid involvement. I have kids and no one has had pink eye. I do take allergy meds. I do think there's been some improvement since taking oral antibiotics for the rosacea, but maybe it's a placebo affect? I guess I'm just looking for other people's experience if this sounds similar and things that have helped. I've thought this could be anything from allergies, to pink eye, to rosacea, and I haven't known how to treat, or with whom. The optometrist seemed quite convinced that because my lids aren't itchy, it wasn't ocular rosacea. As I said I'm seeing the dermatologist here soon, though. Thank youβ€οΈ
Hello everyone! Before I start lemme say thank you for whatever yβall got for me. I was recently diagnosed by an ophthalmologist. I havenβt started the doxycycline ad a preventative yet. I have had two MASSIVE styes that still are hanging around. That surgery is noooottt my cup of tea. Iβve been using my Bruder Moist Compress twice daily, then massaging and using either baby shampoo or Ocusoft wipes afterwards.
Iβve always had darkness under my eyes. Recently the corner of my eyes have become darker and a very uncomfortable sensation has developed. It feels almost like paper cuts coming out the sides of my eyes. Any ideas what the heck it could be? Oh and whatever tips in general yβall got would be most welcome. Thank you!
If you, like me, have won the absolute shittiest rosacea lottery and have eye issues due to ocular rosacea, I hope this list helps you.
Love to hear from anyone who tried plugs, serum drops, IPL (for eyes), etc. For science.
Struggling with terrible dry eye and weekly blepharitis due to ocular rosacea. On Doxy for two months, along with warm compresses, lid hygiene and eye drops. No improvement, so Iβm considering IPL. Just wondering if anyone did it and saw reduced redness under your eyes (not cheekbonesβcloser to nose). Thanks.
Hey everyone. I finally got myself to a dermatologist once I figured out that my βacneβ was actually (surprise!) rosacea. I have papular and pustular rosacea, and ocular rosacea. My derm declined to treat the ocular rosacea and directed me toward a βeye doctorβ. When I asked her if she meant an optometrist or an ophthalmologist she said either would be fine.
However, looking back in time, Iβve had ocular rosacea symptoms for the 3-4 years but they werenβt recognized by my usual optometrist. Even though I brought up my eye redness, irritation, eyelid inflammation, and inability to tolerate contacts at every annual appointment. Do you guys know who I should see for ocular rosacea? Should I go back to my regular community optometrist, or should I see an optometrist at our local university eye center (either optometry or ophthalmology, which one)? They university eye center is a major teaching hub with a nationally renowned eye center, so Iβm guessing this is the better option. Help!
PS - Iβll also take any quick suggestions that you have for treatment. Iβm having a major flare now. I canβt take doxycycline due to an allergy.
Thanks in advance.
My ocular rosacea the symptom I mostly get is my eyes go bloodshot. NOTHING WORKS. Iβve tried:
Ocular rosacea is like a part time job keeping it in remission!
Iβve tried soolantra and metrogel which worked but then stopped eventually. Soolantra was especially pricey.
Azelaic acid seems to be a really good option but it does somewhat cause some redness. I feel its great at killing the bacteria but can leave redness.
Honey has been wonderful but its very messy putting honey on your eyelid and face every night. I wish there was a cream equivalent to honey!
Curious if anyone has put this into remission with a daily topical cream/gel?
Hi Im wondering if bleph and ocular rosacea are the same?
And if not what are the symptoms of ocular rosacea?
I have been told i have bleph but nothing is helping
So i think it may be ocular rosscea
Ive veen using ocunox at.night and it helped a lot with flakes .
Thanks
What do you think caused it for you? I mean, how do you even get ocular rosacea out of nowhere?
(sorry for my English) I was pre-diagnosed in June by my family doctor (rosacea symptom + a case on dermatologist diagnosed rosacea on my sibling, two years ago) and will be seeing my first dermatologist in a week (appointments have a long wanting time in my area).
Two weeks ago my eyes became extremely dry and sore, I was able to make an emergency appointment with an ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with a disjunction of the meibuis glands leading to chronic dry eye syndrome. He prescribed preservative-free lubricating drops, antibiotic drops to be used as a 3-day course for three months, strict eyelid hygiene & hot compress and massage to be done every night.
I have been taking this treatment for two weeks now, and I have seen no real results, worse: it interferes with my treatment for skin rosacea.
I have to apply heat to my eyes, but even being careful not to touch my cheeks they flare up every night from the hot packs.
I wake up too early every morning & in pain because my eyes are so dry at night that they burn me enough to wake me up. Having bad sleep is not going to help my recovery. I think that I don't close my eyelids well at night and that contributes to my problem (before having rosacea I slept every night with a night mask, because I am very sensitive to light during my sleep) . I recently read that wearing a night mask is convenient for people who sleep with badly closed eyelids).
But voila, a night mask will necessarily be in contact with my upper-checks, the area most affected by my facial rosacea that I treat every night with Soolantra (which works well for my skin!). If I wear a mask in contact here, it will absorb or wipe away the cream that should be active on my skin overnight⦠I don't know what to do I feel that it is not possible to relieve my eyes pain and my skin pain at the same time, the treatment of one will prevent the optimal function of the treatment of the other...
Ocular rosacea is one of the worst things that has happened to me. The simple fact of walking quickly hurts my eyes because the slightest breath of speed burns them. I work in an ice rink, a place that is partly cold and dry (we literally have machinery that takes the place of an entire room for drying out the building). This is the only job I have managed to keep for over a year because I am disabled and my parents who I live with, need my financial support. I am afraid of losing this job for these health reasons, and I cannot afford to live below
... keep reading on reddit β‘My left eye always goes red and swollen, Iβve done everything I can think of and I canβt seem to get rid of it πIβm embarrassed to go out of the house because people comment on it.
I went to the eye doctor last month and tomorrow I have another appointment. I did the treatment exactly, only missing a couple of treatments because of illness. Over the past month I've been doing the heated eye mask the doctor suggested, the eyelid wipes she suggested, and dry eye drops she prescribed. My eyes still hurt and burn, even more now, and now I have a new stye on my right eye. I already had 2 on the left (still there) so I have three styes now.
I really can't take long term antibiotics. Are there any middle-ground steps I can take to get rid of all these styes and prevent more? Are there other treatments I can ask about?
Edit: It went kind of badly, she basically suggested I didn't do it perfectly enough and refuses to give me any medication.
I'd been using Elidel + Eucrisa around my eyes for papulopustular bumps below lower lash line and sometimes on my eyelid. This mainly affects my left eye but has now started on my right eye as well and has been flaring since April.
I started to try Soolantra around my eyes (which I already use around my nose area) a couple of weeks ago and it's definitely at the stage where it's getting worse before (hopefully) it gets better. I'm assuming this is the die off period that I've experienced before? I also started using Cliradex wipes last week on both eyes morning and night.
Any words of advice here? I'm getting to the point where I might just take another round of doxy, but I'd like to avoid that as much as possible.
Hello all! You have helped me so much with finding a mascara, I thought I might ask. I know it's far fetched and counter productive, but have any of you found an eyeliner that works well? I appreciate any input any of you might have. Thank you!
My eye doctor couldn't see me yesterday and I saw a new one in the same practice who told me that was the issue after looking at my eyes for only a few minutes. My old doctor and my PCP always waved it off as "some people are just prone to styes". After reading more about it and about Rosacea in general I am pretty sure I have it on my face as well, I always thought I just had sensitive skin and acne. I'm a little frustrated at the amount of money I have spent going to doctors for styes and what I thought was conjunctivitis, not to mention scarring from old styes that probably won't go away. Right now I am starting doxy 2x a day, a prescription eye drop to clear up the current stye, the refresh preservative free drops that I've been using in the other eye, washing my eyelashes and lids with Neutrogena ultra gentle cleanser, and using a petroleum based eye ointment at night as an eye cream. Has anyone had any luck with diet? I eat a lot of spicy food and nightshade vegetables and sugar.
My doctor thinks I have Ocular Rosacea, I'm on 40mg of Doxycycline. I have to be on it for 3 months and its only been one month and I still get lots of flare ups, makes me sad! But I'm curious if you can develop Rosacea on your face after having Ocular Rosacea?
My doctor believes I have ocular rosacea, the symptoms seem to add up. But I use Systane hydrating eye drops and they haven't helped. My eyes have really flared up today. They have me on a prescription periostat doxcycline 40mg. But it can take up to 2-3 months for a difference. If there is not change than I'm going to be sent to a specialist. My eyes are just constantly blood shot, its terrible. My left eye is worse than my right eye. I've had this problem for a little over a year. I haven't actually been diagnosed with rosacea on my face, but I have very fair freckly skin and I do flush easily.
.
What has helped you?
- Also I love having a skin care routine and wearing makeup so I hope I can continue to have that even if I have ocular rosacea.
I have had problems with my eyes since my teen years (I'm in my 50s) being told various causes to the irritation and film that forms causing blur. I won't go into a bunch of detail, but a few months ago, all of my normal techniques for calming them down started failing. I've been through this before with my optometrist and felt that it was time for an ophthalmologist, so I saw a new doctor this week.
Now, I was pretty impressed with this guy because during our discussion my fibro came up along with all of my other diagnoses. He took it in stride! No comment, no change in attitude, not even a bit of a side-ways glance (and I know you all know what I'm referring to). It was surprising and encouraging to not be dispelled immediately.
Doc believes I have rosacea. He was pretty nonchalant with a, "you have fibro, so ...... this isn't uncommon" type of explanation. I don't have the majority of the symptoms I've been able to locate so far. Since my eyes are really bothering me, I'm not able to read the depth of research I'd usually do. I don't have facial skin clues except for pimple-like things that aren't pimples that occasionally appear (for as long as I can remember). If it's rosacea, I believe it's ocular rosacea, but I couldn't read the test I found about that "variety."
Based on the doc's behavior, I am now wondering how many of you have experienced the same. I would love to compare notes and see if that's what I'm experiencing and/or how I can manage it. (And I'm also really interested to know if sinus problems accompany a rosacea flare as it would be nice to be dealing with only one new thing.)
My doctor thinks I have ocular rosacea. I was diagnosed with it about a month ago, I donβt actually have rosacea on my face but they have me on antibiotics called doxycycline 40mg. If it doesnβt work in 3 months I have to go to an ophthalmologist. My left eye flares up and goes blood shot and I still canβt seem to get a handle on it. My right eye sometimes does to but not as often. I started washing my eyes with baby shampoo and eyelid cleanser. I use systane hydration drops. Iβm just so sick of my eyes going blood shot red π
I know that this will be a shot in the dark, but has anyone found a decent mascara, that doesn't contribute to flare ups? It's something I've been missing and wanted to see if anyone has found something. Thank you!
Hi,
I have rosacea and few months ago I noticed an increase in eye irritation, lid redness and tiredness. I believe that the long days working at the computer and then afterwards spending time gaming/reading or watching TV have made this condition more apparent and I want this to change.
I think it is necessary for me to rethink the time I spend after work, but it is quite difficult to make up fun alternatives as I am very much academically inclined: like to read a lot, look up info and such. I sometimes play drums, go outside, but it does not last long, as windy or sunny/cold days irritate my eyes even further and in general, I still spend most of the time reading. I was also thinking of woodworking as an out of the box solution, but I am afraid that the dust could be another trigger. Thus, some inspiration is needed ASAP.
Please share how do you spend time to avoid tiring your eyes? What hobbies you enjoy? Did it help significantly?
Hello, I was dx with blepharitis a few years ago and ocular rosacea a few weeks ago (by a different doctor, who explained that OR is a subset of blepharitis). He recommended Optase and a dry eye mask.
It looks like Optase makes a drop and a spray. I'm already using Soothe XP drops (which he also recommended) so am leaning towards getting the spray. Any experience with this? I'm afraid my eyelids would have to be super clean every time I use it, so ... Morning and night.
Has anyone tried the Optase eye mask? Or have recommendations for a different one? When I got the blepharitis diagnosis, the doctor said I should just use a warm washcloth, but it cools down pretty quickly and is also kind of messy.
TIA!
Hello my fellow Rosacea sufferers, I would like to ask if anyone knows how rare exactly is it to get permanent damage to to cornea from ocular rosacea? I keep reading itβs βrareβ but itβs still quite a worrisome prospect to potentially lose your sight. Iβm only 27, so there is a lot of time (hopefully) for the condition to get progressively worse. Iβm doing eyelid hygiene twice a day and a whole lot of eyedrops to go with it.
Iβd greatly appreciate your input!
Hi guys Iβm pretty desperate here. I have ocular rosacea. I am currently having IPL treatments done but I still have dry eyes and red veins along my lid margin! I also have severe loss of eyelashes from the inflammation. PLEASE can someone tell me how to reverse this? Anyone get their lashes back?
Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with ocular rosacea after a mean 60 days of flares between both my eyes. I have always had mild facial rosacea but didnβt care to treat it because it wasnβt personally affecting me. Im now taking it seriously due to my vision being affected. Like a lot of others my option presented to me is therapeutic levels of doxy. I am breastfeeding and am against long term use antibiotics anyways so I will not be going down this path. My research has pushed me to diet to try to put it into remission if you will. Iβm between keto and the AIP diet. Has anyone had any success with either or what have you done differently in general that has helped you. Thank you all in advance!
It's been almost 13 years since my first encounter with Ocular Rosacea. At that time I had no idea what it was, it was induced by stress, and gone in a blink. This became known as my stress eye. At some point I'd say 8-10 yrs ago, this got so bad that I could not see. It was a trip to the ER, then a strange ophthalmologist, and a Rx. No one told me what it was, or they just called it dry eye. I bounced around to a couple ophthalmologists.
Twice I had what looked like whiteheads removed from my lid line. The ophthalmologist that did the second one was mean and nasty. I don't like things near my eyes and she was not sympathetic and said "I don't have to do it." She put me on doxy, but didn't give any instruction on how long to take it or that was a chronic condition.
Over the last few years I have found an ophthalmologist office that I really like (they are the ones that labelled it ocular rosacea and told me it was auto-immune). I was trying to treat my rosacea naturally through diet and self care. It was going okay. I didn't want to take oral antibiotics. My ophthalmologist had me use an ointment on my lid line for the first 5 days of every month. My ability to see varied, but I was becoming more and more dependent on my glasses.
In the fall my skin got bad, it was flaky like my face had severe dandruff, and nothing I did helped. In January I started tetracycline and it was instant help. That has since changed to doxy and continues to do well. My vision is also the best it has been in a long time.
I saw my ophthalmologist for a check-up on Monday and they said I was doing very well, there was significant improvement. This made me happy and my brain quickly went back into trying a natural approach to battling this.
On Wednesday, I saw my optometrist because I was slightly over-due and I needed new glasses. I told him I knew one eye was worse than the other, and has been for some time. We went though all the eye checks and chatted a bit about my eyes and the rosacea. He pulled up on his computer the photo of my eyeball and showed my why one eye was worse than the other. The veins on my eyeballs are growing into my cornea. On the enlarged photo, it looked like a cloudy yellow ring around my cornea. The other eye has a tiny spot. I asked if there was a way to reverse it. Because I can still see well, there isn't, the only treatment is for people blinded by it, and it would be a cornea transplant. All I can so it to keep it
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello, I've been struggling with an inflamed right eye since 3 years & got skin rosacea about a year ago. I've tried every type of steroid drops, OTC drops and nothing works. The steroid drops from my doctor help for the first two weeks, but when I start decreasing the drops the inflammation just comes back. I've once gotten an antibiotic which did make the inflammation go away for 4-5 months to then return. My eye turns red, dry and painful and since a month I also start to see blurry (which is very stressful since im a graphic design student and it makes everything a lot harder) I've used warm compresses, baby shampoo, tea tree oil, omega 3& vitamin a supplements on my own and again it didn't help. Any ideas on what might help? (My skin rosacea is almost not noticable anymore after skincare and meds.)
I was only βofficiallyβ diagnosed with Rosacea this year ... only because I went to a derm for the first time with suspicion , and for other skin related questions .
Iβm a nurse (and Iβm not saying I know it all! Lol) but I had more than reason to believe I had rosacea for years and symptoms kept progressing as I got older ( I am 33/female)
The past 2 years or so I have mentioned to my eye doctor ( before I made the connection or even knew that rosacea could effect the eyes) that I have had βdryβ eye.. increasing white crusties ( not infection related) more of chronic eye issues and she just recommended eye drops to refresh and that itβs just dry eye.
Now the white crusties/white gunk in corner of eyes is almost constant , I can wipe away and it will be there again in 5 mins. I feel like my eyes are always puffy and swollen and eyes get watery out in the cold for 2 mins .
Iβve used refresher drops (several kinds) I donβt have allergies that I know of. And I can rule Out any kind of eye infection.
Iβm drawing a conclusion based off of the severity of rosacea and how it has now worsened over the years; now I have bumps , βrosacea acneβ , over the redness and visible blood vessels that Iβve βalwaysβ had. Pores have INCREASED crazy , forehead is breaking out like never before and I NEVER had bad acne as a teen. And now eye issues.
Any one diagnosed with ocular rosacea ? Or can anyone explain thief experience with it? How it started? Who diagnosed it? Ways to help ease?
Man I feel like I hit 30 and things are falling apart !
Hi, I used to use Glossierβs mascara but now it seems to be a direct trigger for my ocular rosacea. Now I need a new one.
Any recommendations?
I have rosacea type 1 and type 2 and Iβve been on treatment of doxy 40mg and soolantra for little over a month. Recently my eyes have felt .. off. I donβt know what it is exactly but Iβll randomly tear up, in the morning it feels hard to open them. I donβt know if Iβm just freaking out or what. The veins in the white of my eye are quite visible now but my eye isnβt red. I have no clue if itβs just stress and my phone screen or if itβs the starting symptoms of ocular rosacea. Should I be taking preventative measures? Are people with rosacea more likely to develop eye problems like this ? I saw an optometrist 6 months ago and my eyes were healthy.
To those with ocular rosacea , what do you do to keep your symptoms at bay? Iβve heard we all should be using βlid washesβ ? Are warm compresses good for the eyes? Even if itβs not ocular rosacea, I want to try to prevent it as much as possible since I do have rosacea on my face P.s I havenβt been wearing eye contacts or any makeup
Hi All,
I'm looking for insight on general best practices for ocular rosacea. My previous eye doctor didn't think much of it until it got so bad it was hard to concentrate, then I did prednisone eye drops, antibiotic drops, and nothing made any difference.
After six months of no improvement, I got a second opinion from another ophthalmologist, and he had me take steroid eye drops and oral Doxycycline, 50 mg two times a day. I was on it for four months until I got nauseous. I tried the Doxycycline two more times, and nausea just kept coming back. In his opinion, Doxycycline is the best for ocular rosacea and long time use safety, but I can't tolerate it anymore. My rosacea has improved (but not fully) from the Doxycycline but sometimes flairs again.
Currently, I do Alrex 3 times a day, and I don't think it's making a difference. I've been suffering for years now. My doctors tell me my ocular rosacea has nothing to do with what I eat or even changing my eye hygiene. I'm curious what other physicians think about that?
I've heard of people using hypochlorous acid sprays on the face and it assists in calming the inflammation. I've been trying SkinSmart the last two days after washing my face, two times a day, and don't notice a difference yet. I also heard people have success with Similasan eye drops. I've been using the Redness & Itchy Eye Relief one and have felt slightly more relief, but it's not consistent. I also tried the OccuSoft eye scrub and I got white flaky skin around my eye, and wrinkling, that wouldn't go away for a week.
I also asked the doctor if I had Meibomian Gland Dysfunction since the inner rim of my eye looks a little white to me. He doesn't think so. I've read that it can happen from chronic dry eye which I have, but interestingly, my eyes stopped tearing all day once I was treated for glaucoma.
The day I got my second opinion of my ocular rosacea I found out that I have glaucoma at 46 years old. I thought that was a bit young, my mother started when she was in her early 60's. I was only doing the prednisone in one eye and both eyes had high pressure. My right eye is the one that never heals from this rosacea. It's much worse causing me to wonder if that's what it is. The inner corner has red blood vessels in a cluster and it always feels hot.
I'm concerned with using steroid eye drops, even the safe steroid eye drops. My doctor has been monitoring my pressure while on them and I do Latanaprost drops every night too. I know ste

I had been having issues w/ my eyes the prior year (2020) and was being treated for dry eye by my ophthalmologist (xiidra & artificial tears). My ophthalmologist has also put me on steroids for my eyes before prior to the dry eye diagnosis. My derm thinks that the dry eye is caused by ocular rosacea.
I just wanted to know what treatment options people have had for relief and how your ocular rosacea has been managed. Will I ever be able to get this under control?

I want to give a big shout out (and recommendation for those of you in the DC metro area) to my ophthalmologist, Dr. Cremers.
Dr. Cremers has practically dedicated her life to understanding dry eye and ocular rosacea. After being brushed off for βslight dry eyeβ from other doctors, she finally diagnosed me in 2020. Iβm here a year later to tell you, it does get better.
Thanks to Dr. Cremers, I have a daily routine for treating my ocular rosacea. I used to wake up with my eyes glued shut with dryness every morning. Now I wake up and open my eyes to no pain. I used to be totally dependent on eyedrops. Now I use the maybe once or twice a day when I need them. Most of all I used to beg doctors to take me seriously and offer treatment options for OR. Now I have an ally and a resource to help me along the way.
She also is free with her knowledge - check out her blog for a comprehensive list of OR treatments as well as thoughts on emerging research on dry eye.

Here is what I do:
I feel like I sound like a salesperson at this point, but I highly recommend people with OR bookmark her blog and check out all the great information she shares.
And I want to say that when my OR was bad, it felt like my life is over and nothing would ever get better. It will.
Finding the right doctor makes all the difference.
tl;dr Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser is great for my facial rosacea, but sets off my ocular rosacea with the fragrance. What ingredient is in the cleanser that is so great for me?! And where can I find more without fragrance?! I can't find eye drops that won't cause my eyes to become red and irritated either. Hypochlorous Acid is great for eyelids and I love it. Tea Tree Oil, White Petroleum, and Lanolin make everything worse. I'm highly sensitive and reactive to almost everything. Minocycline is not an option. Help.
Hello!
In the beginning, I started to treat my facial rosacea with Prosacea with great results. It needed a little extra help and I added Witch Hazel into my routine. My face completely cleared up and my redness was gone, but it caused me to develop corneal ulcers which led to being diagnosed with ocular rosacea. I stopped what I was doing, but my eyes decided this is life now.
Minocycline did a lot of heavy lifting for both eyes and skin, but it also caused severe muscle weakness in my lowerback/hips that would go away after stopping treatment. This happened every time over years of on-off treatment and across both 100 and 50mg doses.
The doctors are getting tired, I'm tired and running out of money, you're my only hope Reddit. Maybe someone will see a pattern we don't or have a suggestion. If not, I hope my experiences help someone else.

I was recently diagnosed with Ocular Rosacea and battled a bad flare between both my eyes that lasted for 60 days. I was doing okay for about two weeks and I woke up this morning with another flare about to start. I couldnβt even tell you what triggered it because I eat a wide variety of things. Has anyone had any success with this condition or a similar condition putting it into remission? I have been thinking about AIP for a little while now and this felt like my final straw to start out of fear for my vision. Thanks in advance any and all advice is welcome. (I do have facial rosacea as well)
I have ocular rosacea since 2 years and almost nothing is helping. I just continuously have an inflamed eye. However these last few months I have other drops which made me think it went away, just to get a flare up several times this week. I couldn't really pinpoint as to why it flared up again. I have my skin rosacea under control so that doesn't flare up anymore. My question is, does the ocular rosacea flare up with the same triggers as the skin or is it random or could it be even other triggers?
Patches on my face are easier to control, but I still struggle with redness and dry eyes frequently. Iβd appreciate any tips!
