Add consumable Nuclear briefcases to adventure mode for quick nuking

Have some special npc's sell them for 1000 gold bulion, and make them spawn inside containers, like technical data, but with a rarer chance to come up. I think this would add a refreshing and good change of pace to the game. Shouldn't be too hard to do either.

Limitations: every time a nuke is launched, one of the nuclear silos goes into cooldown. To make this better, said briefcases should be called: "nuclear briefcase: Charlie/Alpha/Bravo" so their respective silo is closed down properly.

The ability to use Nuclear Briefcases in Adventure Mode.

These could make for great rewards from the scoreboard/gold bullion. For veterans, it could be a great time saver if you wanna grind nukes. Ofcourse these things need to have limitations:

EDIT:

CHANGED THE RULES AS SUGGESTED:

  1. The character must be General of the Enclave, and have completed I Am Become Death/ Mission Countdown A,B,C atleast once.

  2. The character needs 1 nuclear key card to activate the briefcase and access to the code of the respective Silo.

  3. Before you launch a nuke, you choose from which Silo it originates from (A,B,C). This works because the briefcase can show you whether or not that particular Silo is on cool down. For example, if somebody in the server already launched A,B, and C, then you cannot use your briefcase in this particular server until the cool down ends.

  4. If the Silo is currently compromised (as in another player is inside the Silo), then the briefcase will not be able to launch a nuke from that particular Silo. This is to prevent a player who is running the Silo legitimately, waste their resources and time for nothing.

EDIT #2: Additional Idea - The Briefcase Detector PERK from NW becomes a legendary perk, however the way the perk works is fundamentally different. The perk would work like the other Legendary Chem perks, in which case, a Briefcase is generated in your inventory over time, the amount of briefcases you can hold at a time, increasing as you Rank Up the legendary perk 1/2/3 (meaning the perk would be able to be upgraded twice). All other rules apply with this method as well, for balance purposes. This solves the issue of briefcases being hoarded, and the issue of them being spammed, as only people who are willing to sacrifice perk coins and their build for the sake of easy farming, have access to this item.

Nuclear Briefcase Idea

A lot of people have mentioned bringing the nuclear Briefcase into adventure mode. I support it. Here's an idea:

When you use the briefcase, it launches a nuke to where the briefcase is. Kinda like some last mode of defense. Or maybe they are broken. Or it is MODUS or ZAXs doing. Anyways, you get a countdown of 1 or 2 minutes. Fast travel is disabled. Now you gotta run out of the blast zone or you'll die when the nuke hits.

This adds some challenge to launching nukes this way.

I'd also make it so if you leave the server before the nuke hits, it disappears. That way someone can't just launch one at someone and log off instead of running away.

Idea: Nuclear Briefcase

I’m sure many players want to farm sbq/xp/flux but can’t be bothered to do the whole silo every time. So what if there is an item where we can just launch a nuke from anywhere. My idea is a Nuclear briefcase. The plan would have a 15% chance to drop from the queen and have a 5% to drop in a bundle of 2 briefcases from the queen. These would be quite expensive to craft. Like 2 of each pure flux and 15 ultracite. But will make things 100x easier

No nuclear briefcases in Nuclear Winter?

I'm playing Nuclear Winter, trying to do the daily challenge which is survive 6 minutes in a nuke zone. But after a few games, no nuke has launched. And thinking back, it hasn't even given notifications that someone found a briefcase. Is it glitched today? On a day when nuke zones are required?

Edit: okay I just got a notification so they do still spawn. Not sure if the spawn rate is reduced or I've got some confirmation bias going on.

Edit the sequel: after playing for about 3 hours, there were only two games with the global notification that someone's found a briefcase, and zero launches. It's a small sample to be sure, but seems off.

I don’t know about you guys, but the sound effects for when you know an officer carrying a code piece is nearby, or when near a nuclear briefcase or orange big loot crate... are spot on! I think they nailed it. Each sound effect fits their purpose so well, in my opinion...

Heck, I even hallucinate in real life sometimes, like I hear the clicking-beeping sound and it gives me the creeps like the officer ghoul is preying on me!! I always pause for a couple of seconds to realize β€œwait that’s not a real sound, just my imagination”
