A list of puns related to "North Shore (Oahu)"
Iβm curious what everyoneβs opinion is on how ocean beach compares to north shore in terms of difficulty(all factors in mind (sharp reefs, wave power, currents, etc.). For instance, Is a 6-8 ft day at OB easier or around the same level difficulty as a 6-8 ft day on one of the main north shore breaks (assuming wave size is measured the same)?
Hi! My partner and I booked a trip to Oahu from Jan 30-Feb 5. We are visiting a friend and staying for a week in Waialua/ general North Shore area.
We mostly will hang with our friends but we do want to hike, swim and snorkel. Kualoa Ranch and the Ocean Voyage is at the top of our list along with Shark's Cove or Hunama Bay for snorkeling. Sunset at Leftovers Surf Break, Kaneohe Sandbar, and the Koko Crater Trail. Are there any good skate spots? My partner loves coffee and I'm wondering if there is some sort of coffee tour.
For food, I have Beet Box Cafe, Cosmic Kitchen, Ke Nui Kitchen, Seven Brothers, but would love to know of veggie-friendly spots anyone has experienced.
Lastly, I have been hearing that island natives have been begging folks not to come, and am aware of the harm that has happened to local communities. I feel so weird about going, but our friends insisted that it's ok that we stay. I just don't want to cause any harm and want to be respectful of the land and its people...any insight on this would be gladly heard as well. Thank you
My husband and I were trying to get over to the North Shore around 8 am tomorrow morning and do some snorkeling. Weβre both intermediate/advanced swimmers but obviously donβt want to get wrecked out there. We were thinking sharks cove but we canβt really find much on snorkeling there in the fall. I always see stuff about not snorkeling there in the winter because itβs not ideal wave conditions. So my question is what are your guysβ thoughts about snorkeling there this time of year?
Robert βRobbyβ Gallagher, 31, was last seen at the Kahuku Medical Center on Oahuβs North Shore area around 2 p.m. on November 2, 2020. Several days later, his phone was found on the side of the road, but there was no sign of Robby. There has been no activity on his bank account since he went missing. The Honolulu Police Department is investigating.
Planning to visit the Halewai side of the north shore. Any suggestions on places to check out? First time going here. Just gonna make a day out of it and go drive around...Prob won't hit most things since there's no time restraints, but just want to compile a list of some potential spots.
Route: Halewai acia bowl and bomber from konos
Halewai beach << just look around
Pua`ena Point << just look around
Laniakea beach << prob hang here
Waimea valley << snorkel for a bit?
Sharks cove << look

Ehukai pillbox << hike if it's an easy one

Then grab dinner somewhere, any suggestions around sunset beach?
