Niña has her forever home, thanks to our beloved Reddit.
Thanks to /u/bduyon8, Niña has her human. Thank you to everyone who reached out, and I am working with Rescue, Rehome, Repeat (who has an adoption event Saturday, January 22 in Baton Rouge), if you have place in your heart and home for a new animal.
❤️❤️
La Niña is a weather event specific to the Pacific where cooler than normal water is dominate. Typically this reduces tropical storms in our area and changes precipitation and trade winds patterns. In spite of this we are still seeing historically high ocean temperatures.
>Warmer ocean waters are helping supercharge storms, hurricanes and extreme rainfall, the paper states, which is escalating the risks of severe flooding.
Last month alone Hawaii substantially broke rainfall records. It's somewhat unknown what higher temperatures will bring but many suspect more severe storms and wild swings between drought and floods. Possible reef bleaching events and maybe marine life die off.

Sorry for all the text but this is how this article is related to Hawaii.
Alguien sabe?
Going to a wedding next weekend and the weather forecast is 33°C and very high humidity.
The dress code for the wedding and reception is cocktail, any suggestions for what I could wear other than a full suit? I’d rather not immediately turn into a puddle of sweat.

The BOM raised it’s climate outlook on Tuesday from La Nina alert to La Nina.
It added that climate models suggested La Nina would persist until late summer or early Autumn and it would be of weak to moderate strength.
Yay for finally having a reverse cycle air conditioner.
It doesn't even look like snow will start falling until Christmas Day. I don't recall ever having a winter quite like this anywhere that I've lived in Ontario.

La Niña is a weather phenomenon that brings cold water to the Pacific every 5 or so years. This year was a La Niña year. Here in the Pacific Northwest of the US, it has given us a very cold and snowy winter so far. I, for one, welcome the snow, because I love skiing, but it is causing a lot of problems for people who aren't accustomed to driving in the snow. On the other side of the country, it has caused temperatures to be abnormally high for December, especially in parts of the Southeast. Have you seen similar patters in your country? For those in the Southern Cone, has it affected your summer?
