A list of puns related to "Nick Drake discography"
The only examples of artists whose music I think is similar in terms of mood and poetic lyrics are...
Iron & Wire's cover of Such Great Heights and Gregory Alan Isakov's The Stable Song.
Surfjan Stevens's Seven Swans album is another favorite of mine for a Drake-esque mood if Nicholas had Christian themes in his lyrics.
Don't donate to grpupbuys. We have enough songs to listen to.

... keep reading on reddit β‘*Excluding WATTBA and Care Package. Drake has always had a large influence and impact on my life and the music I listen to. From middle school to my 20s, he's undoubtedly dominated the game and been my personal favorite artist. So I figured I would share my list with you all in hopes to spark some discussion! Let me know how your list would look! Without further ado,
The most complete sounding album of all Drake projects.
Best intro/outro combo of all albums (Tuscan Leather and Pound Cake)
Drake was simply built different in 2013, this was the perfect follow up to Take Care. Drake's prime if you will.
There's not one bad song imo my least favorite being 305 To My City, which I still enjoy.
2 Take Care (2011)
The best RnB and deep Drake we will ever get imo. (Cameras, Look What You've Done, Marvins Room). It's very apparent that The Weeknd had a large influence and hand in the making of this album. It's extremely evident on tracks like Practice and Shot For Me.
TC is the most memorable album for me with timeless hits that were extremely popular like The Motto, Headlines, HYFR.
The features don't miss and really add a lot to each song. These artists are always great with Drake. (Wayne, Rihanna, Nicki, Rick Ross and even Andre 3000)
While this album defined Drakes sound and set him as a cornerstone of hip hop, it was clear there had to be another level above this.
3 If You're Reading This It's Too Late (2015)
Dropped as a surprise on So Far Gones six year anniversary which made it all the more better. It's nuts that WATTBA dropped only 7 months later.
Project starts off with a legendary 5 track run (Legend, Energy, 10 Bands, Know Yourself and No Tellin') Know Yourself was my favorite song for far too long. Ringtone n all.
This mixtape was Drake showing the industry he has nothing to prove. The title IYRITL was speculated to be a direct shot at Birdman as many thought he was on the verge of ending his deal and their partnership.
Also, Jungle is a top 3 Drake song of all time.
4 Views (2016)
Drake's attempt to switch things up a bit with some new sounds all while giving us the same good stuff we're used to with great rap (Weston Road Flows, Hype, Pop Style) and great RnB (Redemption, Fire And Desire, U With Me?)
New style spawned iconic hits like Feel No Ways, One Dance, Too Good.
This album is a little longer than necessary which sort of makes it boring. However it does start
Please do recommend artists/albums apart from FM or her other albums, thanks!
For me its probably his closing verse on The Ride.
Not saying this for a fact but I genuinely dont think drake has had a bad album. He has about 3 classics imo. And i think the reason a lot of people say drake has shit albums and even make some drake fans believe so, its just cuz of peopleβs hatred for drake.
Most hated on drake albums are probably scorpion and more life. And none of these are bad albums. Both have really good replay value. But drake haters make it seem like if the album isnt perfect then its shit.. which is so stupid, there are so many classic albums with few misses here and there.
Scorpion has shit songs sure but the amount of amazing songs is enough to make it a great album. People wanna make you believe drake has no classic and has several mediocre albums. Its laughable.
Some legendary artists have had actual mediocre albums(lil wayne, ye, em, jayz, etc) and they dont get shitted on as much as drake. This reason is why i dont open social media before listening to a new drake album. I aint gonna let peopleβs shit takes throw me off. And i feel the way people have made drakeβs standards extremely high is also rubbing off in this sub that we make ourselves believe a new release might be mid even tho we enjoy it.
Thats all.
I just wanna see what people think. What they agree upon, whatβs controversial, all of that. This also may or may not be me trying to see what order I should go in when listening to his discography lmao
Long Post & Hot Takes Incoming
So I made a post here not long ago mentioning how Iβm listening to the discography of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. I finally finished listening to the main studio albums. Below are my thoughts on each individual album with some of my favorite songs on most of them. I also made a Spotify playlist with my favorite songs here if you want to check it out. I also ranked the albums as I listened to them so thatβs below my thoughts on the albums. Iβll also leave my final thoughts at the very bottom. Another side note, sorry if the formatting is weird, Iβm doing this all on my phone.

The Firstborn Is Dead
Your Funeral⦠My Trial
Kicking Against The Pricks

The Good Son
Henryβs Dream
Let Love In
Iβm honestly just getting into it fr and love it. SoundCloud got all his older bangers
This song was on my weekly suggestions on spotify, and even though I like his music I had to just stop the song because it was so disturbing for me to listen to. The reason is the guitar (and basically the whole songs) being predominantly mixed to the left speaker.
I have never reacted this way to music before (cannot remember if I have heard similar mixes), so I was curious if it is only me, or if other people also have a hard time listening to that.

Truly a artist ahead of his time. Iβve still not heard music quite like his, itβs crazy that in his short time that he was alive he went completely almost unnoticed. I believe Nickβs music is a must listen for everybody, his sound was so unique, especially for the time. His lyrics being melancholy, contrasted by his beautiful uplifting melodies with his calm soothing vocals. Thereβs something special about it all, some sort of incredible, supernatural presence that leaves a magical feeling to the listener. His guitar work is beyond incredible, and inspiring. Itβs influenced my playing a lot, the alternate tunings he would use and his mastery of the fretboard was uncommon for the time. There was nothing like it during the time, and still to this day. Listening to his music for the first time I remembered how shocked I was that it was made in the early 70s/late 60s. I wanted to make this post to sort of remember Nick and celebrate his music. We should all share and talk about his music, share some of our favorite tracks, and just remember him and his music.
Itβs like a combination of So Far Gone mixed with NWTS and that joint with Tems is fucking beautiful man. This album gonna get better with every listen. This man Drake SPITTTTIN.
Solid 9/10 so far
Edit: ALSO BRO ITS SONICALLY SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL
I have never been a Drake fan personally and I feel heβs overrated. His voice is too deep and whiny to consider him a great music artist. I just got into Logic and believe me, some tracks on TITS and BT 2 are far versatile and well sung as compared to Drakeβs music. This is a personal opinion
I thought it was something like E B B E B B
Preferably a modern version of this type of music. I'm already listening to The Decemberists, Fleet Foxes, Andrew Bird and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

Hi guys. With all the Donda vs CLB drama, Iβve decided to listen to all the projects Drake has released (At least on Apple Music). To be transparent, I do come from r/Kanye. Iβm a big Ye fan but I do like a good amount of hits Iβve heard from Drake from 2014-Present. Other than CLB, I had never listened to a full Drake Album. Iβd rate CLB a 5/10. Iβm excited to listen to some new music. I figured Iβd start from the beginning. The first album on Apple Music is So Far Gone. Looks like it was his third mixtape but still think itβs a good starting point.
This project is what I expected to be for an old Drake album. A lot of laid back beats. I liked the mix of R&B and rap he used. Songs were personal, which I enjoyed. I might not connect with most songs you all like since Drake is not my main style so to speak. My favorites were Successful, Uptown, and, of course, Say Whatβs Real. The Say You Will beat is π€. I really did not like Unstoppable. Only song I really didnβt like. I liked this project better than CLB. Iβd give So Far Gone a 6/10.
Just let me know if I should do this with his other albums. Currently listening to Thank Me Later.
