Knicks are playing well. We got this though.
Let's try to play a full game tonight, boyz. Not just half.
Rubio should be good to go. Kaminsky is out.
Who is Oubre going to posterize tonight? I want to be his blocking foul. It would hurt so good. Sorry.
Go Suns!
Coincidence? But in all seriousness this team at this point last year was 8-16 ( Source )... Praying that we can just tank properly and just keep losing and hopefully land the #1 pick at this point but knowing our luck we will be the worst team again and land the 7th pick of the draft... on a side note the sub has officially changed to a KnickerBocker subreddit r/NYKnicks

Tonight at 8:00pm EST the Pistons will close out their regular season on the road against the Knicks. Both the Pistons and Knicks are playing on back to backs and 3rd in 4 nights.
The Them:
The Knicks are terrible, legitimately the worst team in the NBA. They are supposed to be without Alonzo Trier, Mario Hezonja, Emmanuel Mudiay, Frankie Smokes, Lance Thomas, Noah Vonleh, Damyean Dotson, and Kadeem Allen. Dennis Smith Jr. is also listed as questionable. Unlike the Grizzlies, who were actually trying to win (to convey as poor a pick as they could since they donβt own it) but just hella-injured, the Knicks have been actively tanking. Although they do already for sure have the worst record in the NBA so I suppose they donβt care if they happen to win this one.
If he plays, Dennis Smith is an explosive athlete who can score in bunches but has a lot of bad habits. Mitchell Robinson is a great athlete at center and blocks a ton of shots but is still very raw and wild at pretty much everything else. Kevin Knox has shown promise as a mutli-faceted wing but is not all that good for now. Henry Ellenson is here and has mostly played well. Theyβve got a lot of largely unknowns in the rotation right now. I wonβt pretend to have much to say about them because I donβt know.

First game won without Melo. Amundson and Galloway stepped up hard. Bargnani scored some points, I guess. Larkin looks better and better. Also, why no Acy? Lastly, can we turn these upvote party threads into highlight gifs? Or uhno, NY Knicks related randomness
Pretty much the title. The Knicks are often talked about like they have this history of being this prestigious organization that only recently was ruined by James Dolan. In reality theyβve always been pretty meh in terms of their historic achievements. They have a measly 2 titles despite being in existence since 1946 at the NBAβs founding. They havenβt won a title since 1973. Theyβre best players in their history are people like Walt Frazier, Willis Reed, and Patrick Ewing, who while they are no one to sniff at, are far from top tier Hall of Famers. They had a run in the late 1960s/early 1970s where they were really good and a run in the 1990s but other than that theyβve been absolute garbage. It is amazing to me that anyone thinks that their supposed βhistoric prestigeβ is going to draw any free agents there when they are a total absolute dumpster fire right now and their history is very average. Knicks fans have a sense of entitlement that their team is supposed to be good despite the franchiseβs history of relative mediocrity compared to its perceived greatness. Fuck the Knicks and I hope they donβt get any free agents.
EDIT: LMAOOOOOO Durant to the Nets and Kyrie pretty much a done deal just announced Iβm laughing so hard right now. Nobody wants to go to that garbage franchise and anyone who thinks people do are delusional.
Go Hawks! CAW CAW

Tonight at 8:00pm EST the Pistons will be in New York to play against the Knicks. The Pistons are on the second night of a back to back after losing a close game to the Wizards last night, and the Knicks are on a couple of days rest following a loss to the Thunder on Thursday.

'
The Them:
The Knicks are bad. Like really bad. Kristaps Porzingis is now the man in New York, and he is very good. He had a really good opener against the Thunder going for 31 points and 12 rebounds, but he will be under a huge offensive workload all season that he may or may not be quite ready for. He can shoot, finish, has a decent handle, and has really good athleticism for such a large man but the main worry is how consistently he is able to create his own shot. Defensively he is still learning but his combination of length and athleticism can't be taught and he can give serious problems to people.
Beyond Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr (whose Dad is an assistant for Detroit) is an overpaid, but still pretty good player. He is a good, high volume, three point shooter and while his hanle keeps him from being a great driver/finisher he has enough athleticism to do some good things inside and he competes on defense. Courtney Lee should still be a rock solid 3 and D guy even if he isn't much more than that, and Doug McDermott can get some buckets and isn't just a shooter. Enes Kanter is freaking terrible on defense but he can score in different ways and a bully on the glass. Ramon Sessions has been a decent backup most of his career but was awful last year and even at his best was a below average starter. Kyle O'Quinn is a decent backup center, Ron Baker is a white guy, Lance Thomas plays hard, Franky Smokes might not play but he is long, athletic and actually kind of fun if he does play.
The Knicks do have some offensive talent, the problem is that they likely will sport some of the, if not the, worst point guard play in the NBA this year which will hamper them. Combine that with a defense that is probably going to be almost comically bad all year and you have a recipe for a full on tank job. The only way that they scratch their way to anything respectable is if Porzingis grows up fast, Ntilikina isn't terrible (which most rookie point guards are terrible) and Tim Hardaway makes another big improvement to his game like he did last year, and even then t
... keep reading on reddit β‘Seems like a missed marketing opportunity to spend all season every five or ten years celebrating a significant birthday for baseball. Hopefully thirty years from now they'll at least have a huge celebration for the 200th.
Let's keep defending our home court with honor!!! GO CAVS!!!
Just thought I'd start a tread to distract us all from the off court BS! Our boys are FINALLY home after a 6 (err...5) game road trip! Seems like forever since they've played at the G1C!!!
Lets talk about the Bucks game now that football is over
