A list of puns related to "National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery"
Hi everyone!
I'm going to be starting a fieldwork placement next week in acute neuro service and am just looking for any advice, helpful resources to prep with, and observations I should know going in. I have done orthopedics, geriatric mental health, pediatrics, and a very (VERY) small amount of post-acute CVA care so far and am really excited to expand my knowledge base! Thank you in advance for your help!
Regards, Happy lil baby queer OT
Neuralink which was founded in 2016, is Musk's neural technology company that's developing an implant designed to interface directly with the human brain. The device would be implanted directly into the skull to enable electrode threads to interface with certain areas of the brain, according to Elon Musk.
Title. Or all publications should be in neurosurgery?
Next week I'm starting a month's long elective rotation that includes 2 weeks in neurology followed by 2 weeks in neurosurgery. I'd appreciate any advice on what to read up on, what to do to prepare myself or what to even expect from the rotation and how to do well. I'm interested in both specialties and wanted to get a feel on which one fits me better.
Fortunately I already have a tromner hammer, a 128 hz fork and a penlight. Anything else I might need?
And for residents and attendings in both specialties, what could I as a student do to make your lives easier and to stand out?

I believe that the community members of r/AVMs will benefit immensely from having a medical professional on the sub.

Learning more as I recently got diagnosed. Is the measurement used to diagnose... the measurement we are born with? Or is this something that may "slip" into larger mm's down the neck? I've had different symptoms all my life but recently it was like all of them piled up one day for about a week and instead of being a level 3 or 4 they all were a 6-8! I'm wondering if my tonsils may have dropped further to spike this. Sorry if my lingo isn't proper. I hope you understand what I'm saying. Thanks so much. I have lots of questions but I'll start with this one.
