I hear muslims claim that most of historical scientific and intellectual developments were made by muslims but the fact they don't realize is most of those muslims realized that religions are are man made.
Al-Razi was a theist but didn't believe in prophets (which basically makes him a non muslim). He said:
- Reason is sufficient to distinguish between good and evil, useful and harmful. By reason alone we can know god, and organize our lives in the best way. Why then is there need for prophets?
- There is no justification for privileging some men for guiding all men because all men are born equal in intelligence; the difference are not because of natural dispositions, but because of development and education.
- Prophets contradict one another. If they speak in the name of one and the same God, why this contradiction?
What is your opinion on this?

Muhammad who had not actually seen Shaytan and had never described Shaytan's appearance suddenly just likens Nabtal who is referred to as black man by ibn ishaq to shaytan out of the blue.
I've heard muslim's say, shaytan had similar physical attributes, however, when I ask what he meant by dark ruddy cheeks, I haven't gotten a good response as of yet.
He says "whoever wants to see shaytan should look at Nabtal b. Harith." and then went on to describe him. Clearly he means whoever wants to see shaytan. He doesn't mean "like" shaytan. Muslims should actually acknowledge the prophets words.

O Allah, send blessings and salutations through all Your Perfections and in all Your revelations to our master and guardian Muhammad, First of the Lights overflowing from the seas of the Majesty of the Essence, the one who realises, in both the Inward and Outward domains, the Meanings of the Names and Qualities. he is the first of those to praise and worship through (all) the modes of worship and means of approach, the one who helps all that exists in the Two Worlds of Spirit and form, and (send blessings) to his family and companions, (Blessings) which unveil to us his noble face, both in dream visions and (while) awake. And bestow upon us a direct knowledge of You and of him at every level (of the way) and every realm of your Presence. And we ask you, O our Guardian and Protector, by his honor, that Your Infinite Kindness (be ever with us) in (our) movements and rests, (our) glances, and thoughts.
> Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Ali ibn Riโab from abu โUbayda and Zurara from abu Jaโfar (Imam Muhammad a-Baqir a.s.) who has said the following. > > โWhen al-Husayn (a.s.) was martyred, Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiya asked Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) for a private meeting. In the meeting he said, โO son of my brother, you know that the Messenger of Allah (s.a) delivered the task of al-Wasiyya, (the executor-ship of the will) and al-Imamat, (Leadership with Divine Authority) thereafter it was delivered to al-Hassan (a.s.) and then to al-Husayn (a.s.). Your father, may Allah be pleased with him has been murdered, may Allah grant blessing up on his soul, and he did make any will. I am your uncle and equal in status to your father and I am a son of Ali (a.s.). Because of being older in age I am more deserving of the the position of Imamat considering that you are younger than me. Therefore, you should not dispute with me about al-Wasiyya, the will and Imamat, leadership and should argue with me about it.โ Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) said, โO uncle, be pious before Allah and do not claim in what you have no right. I advise not to be of the ignorant people. In fact, my father (a.s.), O my uncle, appointed me as the executor of his will before his leaving for Iraq. He made such covenant with me just an hour before his becoming a martyr. This is the Armament of the Messenger of Allah with me. You then should not dislocate them. I am afraid for you of a shorter life and quandary of conditions. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most gracious, has placed al-Wasiyya, and Imamat in the descendants of al-Husayn (a.s.). If you would like to know it we can go near the Blackstone for judgment and ask it about the issue.โ > > *Abu Jaโfar (a.s.) has said that the issue came up between them in Makka and they went near the Blackstone. Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) said to Muhammad al-Hanafiya, โYou begin first and pray to Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most gracious, and ask Him to make the Blackstone speak to you and then ask your question.โ Muhammad then pleaded in his prayer and asked Allah and then ask the Blackstone about the disputed issue but there was no answer. Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) said, โO uncle, had you been the Executor of the will and the Imam it would have answered your question.
