A list of puns related to "Motorcycle headlamp modulator"
I did a search and didn't find any posts focusing solely on headlamp size rather than "ultralight." I am hoping to add a headlamp to my motorcycle road kit for small roadside repairs like plugging a tire, tightening a loose fairing, etc. The only way to ensure that the kit is always with me is to have the entire toolkit and tire kit fit in a *very small* underseat storage compartment (it's no Harley cruiser my friends). Therefore, overall compact size is the absolute number one priority, followed by long battery life in storage. My hope is that someone that knows of a product like the nitecore NU05 but better LOL
Other requirements are pretty minimal and negotiable. Rechargable is nice but not at the cost of shelf discharge or size. Lumens, flood, and throw just need to be functional for close up work. Continuous use battery life only needs to exceed an hour or so to cover all my needs. Thanks for any suggestions ya'll!
I'm thinking about installing one, but if they are so good, why aren't they standard issue? Thoughts?
Edit: Didn't take much convincing, but I'm sold. They are like $70 on amazon. Looks like I have a weekend project.
Is it possible to connect this 12v headlamp to my 48v battery?
Would it be as simple connecting the battery to a voltage converter and then the light to the voltage converter?
They look exact the same (97-02) Vettes modules as Birds. Read somewhere that it would fit on Firebird. Anyone know for sure this is the case? If it is, ordering one for my 88 GTA. Thanks!
EDIT! Ok found the info, fits. Hereβs the full list on which vehicles the same part fits
I get that sometimes people leave on their brights or they simply aren't adjusted correctly, but the last month or so I've been blinded more by this specific brand/models than the rest of the year.
No, I'm not saying we should. This is r/CrazyIdeas after all. But, for everybody to get a taste of equality for maybe 5 years at least, nobody is allowed to expose their flesh or voice (voice modulators or something). For so long, nobody would know how another person looks or sound like, aside from body shape (jock straps required), making it where nobody can be picked off for discrimination. If there is any possible prejudice that exists, everybody would have to either experience it as well, or people would have to eventually let up on said prejudice to avoid doing it to those who don't fit the criteria for discrimination. Everybody would experience each other's privileges and discriminations, even things we may not even know we're doing.
I've been thinking of randomly colored skin-tight latex body suits this whole time, but that's hilariously dumb. Maybe something more akin to medieval European/ninja garbs, faces painted only non-race-based colors (blue, purple, and green, mainly cold colors).
Imagine this as a show, we tell stories of different families, but when it comes to being outside, nobody can see who is who doing what job, shopping what food, living what lifestyle. It's like watching 2 shows at once until the finale, when everything comes together.
Ever since last year, when I started running seriously, including after dark, I've had more than enough close calls with twisted ankles for putting my foot down in a bad patch of terrain on poorly lit paths or roads. So I quickly decided I needed an headlamp to light my way during my runs.
Well, given that there are a lot of poorly lit routes around my area, I'd expect more people to adopt headlamps. The truth is that they are not only a rarity, people actually make fun of me and make unpleasant remarks to me for using an headlamp. Others look at me like I'm some kind of alien.
Not just pedestrians either, other runners do it too.
Not that it bothers me one bit, but I was wondering, Am I that much of an oddity for using an headlamp when running at night?
Research on hormonal modulators of adipose tissue distribution is extensive. In severe cases of hormonal disbalances, such as in Cushing's syndrome (high cortisol), a distinct central obesity fat distribution pattern appears. Sex hormones are also known to play distinct roles in fat distribution, resulting in male and female fat patterns.
However, these relationships are not dependent on diet composition as they are derived from hormonal differences in the general population, where the effect of diet can cancel out and genetics are left to exert differences. It is possible that individuals of similar genetically influenced hormone levels may show differential fat distributions if their diet compositions are distinct enough. This assumes that diet wouldn't affect these hormones, which is incorrect, but the two do seem to be distinguishable to some extent.
For example, palmitic acid appears to promote the accumulation of visceral fat relative to other SFAs. Fructose overfeeding also does this by increasing liver fat.
What are some other examples of nutrient-mediators of fat distribution (vitamins, fatty acids, minerals)? Please be sure to cite sources for further reading.
I hope I word this correctly -
I was very into CB radio as a kid (88-93, then I got my ham license) and my first base station was a President Zachary T (modified with freeband channels), a Maco Brute 75 bi-linear, a Micronta power/SWR meter, and a "big stick" antenna. I think my mom got it all for like $100 from a work friend.
I used to hang out on the local channel and I would ask the more experienced people (I was like 12) about my gear. I was told by a few guys that my Brute 75 was a "modulator" and somehow worked different than another type of amplifier.
This is all very hazy as is my general radio knowledge since I haven't really been into the hobby since the 90's but I've regained interest and am thinking about coming back to CB and ham and trying to remember everything I learned.
Thanks!
