A list of puns related to "Mojo (magazine)"
First Kid A Mnesia review is in from the new issue of MOJO. Obviously they give it a 5-star rating, but it's potentially bad news for anyone hoping for a full band release of Follow Me Around...
"...and a solo acoustic guitar rendering of Follow Me Around which finds a desperate Thom Yorke chased by an undead swarm of "Thatcher's children" in a rare outbreak of unambiguous polemic (in live versions at the turn of the last century, Yorke was heard to sing "Did you lie to us Tony? We thought you were different")."

> The production is flat, sparse, empty, and, according to biographer Jimmy McDonough, marijuana dislocated. Except for two tracks, the tempos are way down, forcing attention on Young's voice. Like Dylan, Young is one of the great non-singers who has defined what rock vocals are about: limitations transcended through the sure knowledge of those limitations and a burning need to communicate. Just as exciting is the way in which Young articulates the outsider position that used to be a major part of rock and pop culture. Rock used to be the place where all the weirdos hung out and got validated, and no one sung about those weirdos better than Young; in form and content, On The Beach reaffirms his continued commitment to this project, to the extent that Young emphasises his own estrangement from himself, or rather his superstar persona.
Excerpt from a 5 star, full-page review by Jon Savage, MOJO, July 2003, p. 116.

"The Black Keys present The Hill Country Blues" is a 15 track CD compiled by the band, accompanying the magazine's feature on their new album. The last 2 tracks on the CD are from the band themselves - one from the new CD, as well as Yearnin', offered as an example of how they tried their own version of the North Mississippi Blues.

Hi, I have purchased the Mojo magazine with the CD The Good songs and the magazine is ok, but the CD cannot play on any CD player I have tried and probably is damaged. Has anyone had the same problem with it? I really would like to listen to those songs.
