A list of puns related to "Mixer (appliance)"
Does anyone know of a small appliance repair shop that is licenced to repair Cuisinart mixers in Toronto?
During the holidays my mixer decided to dance off my counter while my back was turned, it hit the floor pretty hard and is now slightly misalligned, and won't shut completely, it could probably use a cleaning and some maintenance too.
Took my last mixer to a place around Coxwell & Gerrard a few years back, the owner told me that he could repair Cuisinart appliances, but when I went back after a month the machine was in a million pieces - was told that he couldn't get the part that was needed. I think he was hoping I would leave the machine there (extra parts for him?) He seemed pretty surprised when I asked for it all back. Ended up having to buy a new one, I'd rather get this one fixed instead of having to get a new one.
Anybody have an new-ish appliance box they're planning to toss out that has roughly larger than 20"x20"x10" dimensions? Slightly larger would help my box fit inside it. You can just leave it outside your house/curb or whatever and I'll come by and grab it, no interactions needed if you prefer.
So I some how managed to acquire a much sought after gaming console for my girlfriend, but I'm still playing pretend like it ain't happening because it's near impossible to find one. But to surprise her, I wanted to put it in an appliance box before wrapping it up, lol.
My mixer is starting to make a slight grinding noise and I would like to get it looked at before holiday baking gets started. Have you all had any good experiences with something like this?
Does anyone know of a place in town (SD) or nearby that maintenances Kitchenaid stand mixers?
Mine needs some love and I donβt have the time to sort it out via online tutorials.
About 5 different models of shredder I tried at the office reach their safety thermal cutout after only 5 minutes of moderate shredding and need a 20 minute cooldown before reactivating. I was just researching stand mixers and most models, even expensive KitchenAid ones, are specced to run for just 5-10 minutes before needing a 20 minute cooldown. The motors in the shredders are rated at around 300W, the stand mixers 800-1900W.
Why are they so lame at thermal management? I've bought a cheap $30 drill with a 500W motor that successfully ran at full power for half an hour drilling holes in porcelain tile (I was using a cheap bit). An entry-level $50 vacuum cleaner has 1000W or more and can run continuously.
What's stopping them from using something more similar to drill motors (in terms of cooling) in the $50 shredders, or speccing a motor with 100% duty cycle capability in $200+ stand mixers? Does a simple fan and a vent add that much to the cost? It seems a continuous duty paper shredder practically triples the price.
Iβm looking for a good and affordable hand mixer. If you know an online store (app, Instagram, website) please let me know!
The black kitchen appliances and furniture are actually for a friend... she doesnβt know how to work Reddit so Iβm helping her out :) thank you in advance!
My KitchenAid stopped spinning last night and I looked at a YouTube video that might solve the problem. It is quite old about 10 years. However, I donβt have the right tools and I donβt want to fuck it up. I would love to be able to drop off and pickup if possible for such a small issue instead of having a serviceperson come to my home. Any helpful recommendations are appreciated!

I'm wondering if it's better in the long run to buy new or vintage.
Hey everyone needing to replace the grease on my wifes kitchen aid mixer and it seems pretty straight forward.. watched a bunch of videos. However the grease is a bit challenging to get and shipping takes a while for amazon... I found some "Petrol Gel Food Grade" high temp. Would this work fine? or do should i get the grease?
