Hello film enthusiasts. I've started a virtual film festival. On Saturday we released the second program, which you can check out here:

The idea behind our 'festival' is to curate a (relatively short) weekly program of pointing out publicly available films (mostly through Youtube and Vimeo).

I didn't see much mention of this and just put put two and two together.

I watched Atlantics (2019) on Netflix a few weeks ago after seeing that it was up for competition for the Palme d'Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival -- it wont he Grand Prix and got picked up by Netflix at the festival.

I then saw the director's original short, Atlantiques (2009, 16 minutes) from which it was originally based on the Criterion Channel.

It looks like she also made her big debut in Claire Denis' 35 Shots of Rum and has been concurrently directing a handful of her own shorts and documentaries as well.

I'm extremely excited by her creativity and trajectory, and can't wait to see more of her upcoming projects!

Nice to hear a somewhat deep cut beautifully used for the big screen (Cannes Grand Prix no less.) On Netflix these days
