Aight so boom...
I bought this play on prime video and was hyped to watch it because when I was a kid me and my mom used to watch it all the time, so I know this play front and back... line for line.
Whatever I have here on prime video is not what I saw as a kid. Same outfits, same songs, same plot.. but the IMPROV is significantly different from what I saw years ago! This makes the play hard to watch because I can’t quote it and laugh along like I want to.
I know my mom and I can’t be the only ones who saw that other version! Granted, it was on bootleg when we had to back then, but it’s the same play. And it wasn’t like someone had a camera in the play, the angles and transitions were PROFESSIONAL. And I can’t find evidence of this anywhere online and it’s bugging the hell out of me.
One big difference was the bellhop Willie. That improv was much more long and drawn out than the other one. When he got fired all he did was pack a box full of bottles and dipped, he didn’t go through all 24 of his alter ego’s.

For those who have attended college or high school reunions, how much did you care about how you turned out?
I am finding that I want to look as best as I can, and appear as successful as I could have been under my circumstances.
I know we're not supposed to care about these things, but there's also _reality_.
There is one line in the show that I cannot really forget, and that is when Hitomi said,>! " In 10 years time when everyone's lives are settled, then we should all meet."!<
As of at the end of the anime, Sato is literally>! working a low skill-low wage job!<. I'm just wondering if he will be able to >!provide for Misaki if he does substantially improve his financial situation.!<
There's this one wallpaper that really brings a tear to my eyes, and it's the one where all characters just group up together and sort of hang out. It would actually be really wholesome and also tear jerking to see all of them enjoying their time with each other sometime in the future >!(in 10 years, just like how Hitomi prophesized).!< I personally think they would make one of the greatest/most dynamic group of friends one could ever be in.
Any thoughts on Sato's fate/future?
**In fact, I think some anime studio should make an OVA about Sato's reunion with the NHK cast ten years into the future.

My high school elections expected class officers chosen senior year would plan reunions after graduation. I declined planning the 5 year reunion when asked (I was never elected but helped plan most events in HS). None of the elected people wanted to do it either and our class did not have a 5 year reunion.
Eight years after graduation, Isla posted in the class social media group to remind the officers they had to plan a 10 year reunion. The class president responded she cannot and asked for volunteers who could. Isla told President it is the officers’ job to plan it and none of them should delegate the work because they did not plan a 5 year event.
I pointed out the people elected live far from our hometown and would have issues picking a venue (for 400+ people) or coordinating food/beverage delivery. I suggested Isla volunteer as she is local and enthused about the event. Isla can't because she has kids and no time which is why she reminded the former class officers of their duty.
Isla then asked the person responsible for planning the reunion make it a night out at a bar. Others suggested meeting at a family-friendly (dry) venue with spouses and children. Isla argues with everyone who disagrees with her idea or offers a compromise like a family-friendly afternoon outing followed by a bar crawl.
Someone mentioned doing something to commemorate classmates who died. I asked if people would consider donating money to buy the school a bench or tree to honor the deceased. Isla again advocated for meeting up in a bar because the class could "pour one out" for those we lost.
I snapped at Isla for being callous towards the people who died and acting entitled to someone's time to plan the event she wants on her behalf for free. I told her it sounded like what she really wants is a break from her kids to go drinking, and if that is the case, she should use the SM platform we are on to invite classmates she wants to see out for a drink. I argued SM made reunions pointless as we could find and contact people we want to keep in touch with and get the basics on what people did after graduation via SM. I got a lot of messages and texts calling me an asshole for what I said. Some people reached out to reconnect like I mentioned. I muted the conversations from people I don't care to keep in touch with and was later booted from the class group.
