A list of puns related to "Mad Max (2015 video game)"
Idk, how many of you folks play vidya games, but I thought it'd be fun to discuss/recommend the very fun Mad Max game from a few years ago. I'm not much of a gamer. Between creative pursuits, movies, music, books, art, and podcasts I don't get around to a lot of games. I play maybe 3 to 4 games a year. But, with the quarantine I've had more time to play games. With the Miller mini starting up, I thought, maybe I'd give the old Mad Max game a replay. I really think it's worth a DL if you're looking for something to do between watching Lorenzo's Oil and Babe: Pig in the City.
I'm replaying Mad Max after the usual urge I get after watching of Fury Road and I'm surprised that besides Rage 2 the whole Vehicular Combat/Action/Adventure genre really doesn't have a lot of representation.
I know of Crossout, but I feel like that's lacking in a lot of aspects that Mad Max had. Resource management, exploration, etc. However, it does excel in the amount you're able to customize your vehicle. I think a game that could combine the strength of these games could potentially be amazing.
A game where you're exploring the world, scavenging different physical car parts (not generic "scrap" as in Mad Max) and then using those to create an amalgamation of something that resembles a car.
Just an aside, if you haven't played Mad Max I wholeheartedly suggest you give it a try. You can usually pick it up for 5$ and in my opinion, it's still one of the better open-world games.
2015's Mad Max on the PS4 was/is a massively underrated gem, just like Days Gone. I'm a huge fan of the films and the game and am only 5 hours into Days Gone and falling in love with it too.
I couldn't help notice a LOT of simiralities between the two- and it doesn't take away from Days Gone... it makes me happy such an awesome overlooked game like Mad Max got a spiritual successor which is just as good, maybe better;
Both 3rd person
Both set post-apocalypse
Both stories are about fixing your crappy car/bike for a big travel, after your magnum opus vehicle is destroyed at the beginning.
Both have you find jerrycans in pre-scripted spawns to keep your vehicle running.
Both start with a scripted chase scene.
Both have 3 or 4 friendly camps where you wait for them to open the gates.
Both games have you hunting for "scrap" denoted by metal cogs.
Both feature flashbacks of your wife pre-event with her circumstances left ambiguous.
Both have you stumble on worse-off survivors and help them throughout the world.
Both require you to attack bandit camps (typically between 10 and 30 enemies) located on cliffs and in ravines to make the surrounding area safer.
Both's bandit camps almost always have a sniper with a visable laser outside it.
Both also use those jerrycans to activate generators to access areas of the found locations.
Both have "historical" collectibles.
Both severly limit the bullets you can carry, pushing the player to deal with enemies using melee and breakable weapons.
Both feature dynamic storms that make the gameplay more challenging.
Both feature discoverable abandoned camps/outposts that are key to picking up scrap and supplies.
Bear traps are annoying as shit in both.
Both have a dedicated subreddit which is much bigger and more active than it ought to be (r/MadMax)
Currently mad Max is on sale for five dollars on the Xbox one I havenβt seen much gameplay nor do I know much about it. Is it worth buying, like how many side activities are there is there much replayability is it enjoyable overall?
how many hours can you play before you finish the story? i am thinking of buying it but i have heard the post-ending gameplay is not so much fun. i completed gta 5 main story in about a week of playing and i guess the difficulty is similar to thisο»Ώ.
I love it too! It is so much fun!!!! Thank you Developers - Avalanche Studios!
I play video games for limited time to make me feel good and energized.. So I mostly focus on story driven or mostly rpg type games which provide a unique insight
