Group wanted to go to Peggy, because Patrick Topping was a fiasco in the beginning (he closed pretty strong tho) and nobody wanted to stay for Maceo Plex. Peggy was out of this world, I'm not complaining, specially because I was expecting some groovy house and she slapped me with some hard techno. Amazing.
Nevertheless, Plex is one of my all time favorites and I wanted to know if you guys can share some videos, I can drop my IG too if needed. I'm specially looking for When the Lights Are Out, last song he played was Nu World (thank God I could be there)
I was planning on seeing him at the festival but there are other artists I wouldn't mind seeing during his time slot. Anyone has an idea of what time he'd be playing at the after party?
Maybe I'm missing a lot of context but having followed him since around 2015 most of his career has been more of a "80s remix" type of DJ who introduced me to a huge amount of 80s music from breakbeat to new beat I have never heard anywhere else. I dont know what category that puts him in but 80s is the polar opposite to the atonal style the majority of modern techno fills in. Sure there's some overlap between hypnotising bass Amelie Lens, drumcodes generic soundscapes and ambient Techno but how does Maceo Plex fit in to that besides the sellout sets he does for promotions like Timewarp where you expect nothing else?

Recorded this at Awakenings in Amsterdam. It was so amazing but Shazam won't recognize it, none of my raver friends recognize it, I've gone as far as to tweet Maceo Plex but he has not replied yet.
