Today, 80 years ago, Germany invaded Luxembourg. Here you can see the departure to the east of the boys forcefully drafted by the nazi army - the youngest of them were 15. 28% never saw their home again. This was their last goodbye.

WWII European location. My great uncle was in the Army Force in WWII. This photo was taken in 1944. He was shot down over Trier, Germany, but this could have been in France, Germany, Luxembourg (where he was temporarily buried). Military service records are unfortunately burned and unavailable.
