A list of puns related to "Lugh"
TLDR: Lugh's maximum mana capacity by the age of 14 is enough to blow up a planet like Earth with ease.
Someone pointed out that I got the recovery rate wrong and so I updated it. In other words, at the age of 7, it would take Lugh 30 days to recover the maximum mana capacity of 1000 average mana users.
Okay, maybe not lied to, but definitely led astray.
This is post is spoiler free, but I can't promise that in the comment's section below. So, please use the spoiler tags. If you don't know how to, a quick Google search should help.
There are a few problems with the overly simplistic way that the author calculates how maximum mana capacity (MMC for short) is increased and how there is a lack of clarity in some areas. In other words, it runs into some serious issues in validity once you take a proper deep dive into it.
I first got into this topic after seeing Lugh state that he started training his MMC from the age of 2 and when he is 7 when being tested by Dia, reminds himself that he has a mana capacity of 1000. He then keeps repeating that same number in regards to his MMC when he is 12 and 14. He also figured out that he would be able to increase his MMC by 330% each year. None of which make any sense, even if you were to dumb down the math. Let me show you why by using the author's math model:
Age 2 - 1 x 330% = 3.3 MMC.
Age 3 - 3.3 x 330% = 10.89 MMC.
Age 4 - 10.89 x 330% = 35.937 MMC.
Age 5 - 35.937 x 330% = 118.5921 MMC.
Age 6 - 118.5921 x 330% = 391.35393 MMC.
Age 7 - 391.35393 x 330% = 1,291.467969 MMC.
Lugh is far beyond 1,000 MMC by the age of 7. I originally calculated this incorrectly, but this maybe Dia came and taught Lugh when he was maybe 7 and a half years old? Still it makes no sense for it to stay at around 1,000 once he is 14 years old.
Age 14 - 5,504,035 MMC. (Rounded down.)
Let's try another method and say, even if it was just 330% of his base number from the age of 2. It still wouldn't make any sense. Let me show you why:
Age 2 - 1 x 330% = 3.3 MMC.
Age 3 - 3.3 + 3.3 = 6.6 MMC.
Age 4 - 6.6 + 3.3 = 9.9 MMC.
Age 5 - 9.9 + 3.3 = 13.2 MMC.
Age 6 - 13.2 + 3.3 = 16.5 MMC.
Age 7 - 16.5 + 3.3 = 19.8 MMC.
It makes no sense, because by this calculation, his progress would be far too slow.
However, let's go even deeper if you're willing to go down this rabbit hole.
Reminder: As somewhat in depth this is, this is all just for fun.

First off I want to mention I'm not used to working with deities (if that's the proper phrase) but for the past week I've had this feeling in the back of my head that I should make an altar to Lugh. So far I have two harvest colored candles,a railroad track anvil,a clay pot I made,a horse shoe I got from a farrier, and some rebar I had for a project. What would be a good offering and how do I go about offering it? I'm having a rough time finding anything on what to offer or how to present my altar for Lugh (I'm very new to all this in general and don't know where to start)
Can someone explain why Dia is his next target?? Also what is he gunna do? Doesnβt he love her? Maybe leave his family? If you know let me know, I donβt care about spoilers or anything
We all know how Lugh's orbital strikes are basically mini-nukes that he can create fairly easily, they only take a good abt 10 minutes of prep time. But couldn't Lugh theoretically one-shot the world, or at least devastate the world's crust, or just one-shot anyone. If he just sent a massive ball of metal into space, and then sent it back to earth while reinforcing it with magic. Or if he sent dozens of his rods into space, then back down all at once, or at one sole target, to insta-kill them. If 1 rod was all it took to incapacitate and basically vaporize Setanta, someone strong enough to be thought of as the hero before. Then what do you think 50 rods could do, or 100, or 200? Or what do you think would happen if he made that rod 100 times bigger. Sure It'd be quite taxing on his mana reserves, but it'd get the job done. Even the hero herself could likely get killed by Lugh fairly easily if he so wished if he lost his morals. Considering he could likely auto-vaporize a continent's worth of land with a large projectile from space, even she couldn't survive something like that. Lugh could literally re-create the dinosaur extinction event if he wanted to, but this time it'd be on his new world. This new ability of his is incredibly broken ngl.
We all know how Lugh while using his earth magic, can essentially summon any object, made of any material. If he of course has knowledge of the element he wishes the object to be composed of, and what the object is. It's essentially in a technical manner playing around with atoms to construct matter.
My question is, why doesn't Lugh EVER use his magic to create let's say... PLUTONIUM, atomic element 94. OR any other radioactive element for that matter. I really doubt that people in the world he's in, have any way of defending themselves against radiation, that mind you can tear the very DNA from cells. Merely being exposed to a small chunk of potent uranium a short time for example could be fatal to ANYONE in the vicinity. Does Lugh merely never summon this kind of material because he thinks it's dangerous? Or is it just him forgetting what radioactive elements are for the sake of the plot. He could literally create a nuclear bomb out of thin air, and yet he doesn't. Why doesn't anyone think about this? And I doubt it would take much mana, considering that he can summon tons upon tons of material without breaking a sweat. Or even better yet, why doesn't he ever attempt to create isotopes?
Lugh's mother want to marry him away fast, why?
So our guy has reached age where he is horny as fuck. Well in his mind he is still an older man, and we know he was sexual active (first episode "when I was still a virgin").
So when he is in a horny teenagers body he and the world at his feet what do you do? He is still an older man in his mind so he isn't attracted to two 12 year old (you wouldn't be either right?).
We get the info that Tarte tells his mother everything and mother want to check on him (she wants to see the D) . While our man thinks this just his perverted mother want to see his embarrassing coming of age, it's not about that.
It's about checking if he has fucking STDs.
So our guy does the only natural thing a reincarnated old man assassin in a rich horny 14 year old body would do. Hit the brothels. Which we get from Maha later in the episode, and we know Tarte didn't like that, so she knew. And she told the mother.
Mother get concerned he is fucking older women with STDs, or even worse get affectionate with one.
So she's setting him up with with other woman more appropriate for his age, she can even live with Tarte being his fuck buddy.
Well she doesn't know that our man is an older guy, and that he probably can use his healing even though he is playing PokΓ©mon go with STDs.
Tl;dr Tarte know Lugh is hitting brothels. Tarte tells mother. Mother thinks Lugh is trying to catch them all STDs edition and want to check him. Then trying hooking him up with younger girls fitting his age.
Granted, she can come off a little creepy wanting to see her sons morning wood and is noticeably disappointed he didn't have a wet dream. Lolz
Anyway, I love her overall playful demeanor, where she's somewhat serious but mostly just an airhead. She definitely just loves her son so much because they lost their first kid.
She's so funny though, in literally every scene she's in she just wants to give all her affection to Lugh and he's not having any of it lol, constantly wants him to be her baby boy even going as far as to smother him when he's recovering from the surgery.
She's just so damn funny to me and I love her character very much, she's like a beautiful pouty puppy lmao
As an anime-only (although I plan to read the books soon) I was wondering this during the last couple episodes. When Maha makes it clear that the dude she's investigating is likely the hero, and when Lugh's father tells him about the hero being officially found, it seemed as if they knew he'd find that information important. Is this maybe a detail the anime ignored or skipped over?
Is Dia Lugh's mother's sister, if so does that make her Lugh's aunt and Lugh as Dia's nephew

And also discover everything he did in his past life.
In the second episode as he's choosing his skills I don't remember the goddess saying he couldn't choose all S rank skills. And surely they are pretty impressive skills to have and to use in the future. But wouldn't there be more impressive skills, like the ones he chose, but in the S ranks???
I think I found the inspiration for our MC, here is a link to the Celtic god, Lugh of the Tuatha de danann. I found the parrelels quite interesting between them:
