Low back and hit pain when lying down

Low back and hip pain on left side when laying down

Hello,

I have been having a long time lingering issue that I’m trying to correct. I believe I have a pelvic tilt or rotation on the left side of my body. I always get pain in my left hip and low back and find myself when sitting with my pelvis torqued to the left. When it happens I try to correct it but it is a work in progress.

I have noticed that when I lay on my back I start to get a lot of pain in my lower left back and on my left hip. The hip begins to feel like it needs to β€œpop” but it never does and I’m at a loss for what is going on. I don’t find that my legs are out of alignment and my back is not overly arched.

May I ask for some advice on what to test or look for? I can’t really afford to see a PT in person consistently for the time being so I’m trying to help myself. I don’t want to be in pain anymore.

Epiphany for why I have low back pains

I just had an epiphany last night. So I’ve been on a chair hunt for the past 3 months. Every chair I get would give me low back pains. I finally realized why I keep having low back pains with every chair and I just wanted to share just in case anyone else experienced this. Every new chair I get I would sit in it the way you’re supposed to, I would keep this position for hours thinking if the chair is good enough it would keep me comfortable. However last night, I just keep shifting my position, sat on it with my legs crossed, sat on it partially sideways withmg arm resting in the arm rest, sat in it Indian style leaning back in the back rear, then leaning forward putting weight on the arm rest, and reclined all the way back with my foot up on a foot rest, and then just kept shifting positions constantly about every 20 minutes or so and I didn’t have any low back pain after my sitting session!! My problem was that I was thinking a chair should give me optimal comfort sitting in the way you’re supposed to sit for hours without moving if the chair was good enough.

I went through 2 racing chairs, secret lab, gt racing, 2 executive Serra chairs at Office Depot, steelcase amia and leap, and staples Ayalon. All have me low back pains because I would just sit in one position throughout the sitting session. Now I finally realized an office chair should just be able to accommodate all the strange ways people sit and it won’t give me low back pains.

How much low back pain do you all have?

I hired a starting strength coach about a month ago. Just to make sure my form was top notch.. They said everything looked pretty good.. My only issue was with squats. Working on correcting them now. For you guys that know your form is good, how much lower back pain are you in during normal activities?

I'm still on SS novice LP. Last workout was 310lb squat, 165lb press, and 370lb deadlift. My lower back doesn't hurt too bad during my training sessions. ( hasn't hurt progress). But on my off days while at work, If I lift anything heavy or have to bend over or squat down for any length of time. Lower back feels really sore, if I arch my back and push my belly out it relieves the pain briefly. All the pain is in lower back centered just above my ass cheeks. Hell just doing yard work kills it lol.. I understand back pain is part of the human condition. Just wondering how much pain other lifters are in? And what you determine to be too much??

Low Back Pain help please

So I have been a trucker for a year and a half and my back has never felt like this. How do you guys sit because I am apparently doing something completely wrong. Mind you I am a 23 year old female and I feel 90+. I have a small purple seat that sometimes helps but so far today, the excedrin and aleeve haven't touched it and no adjusting of the seat has helped.

~6 years Post Surgery Low Back Pain - Anyone else?

Hey! I had my scoliosis surgery about 6 years ago. I have the instrumentation and fusion from L1-T2, got the t-shirt, yadda yadda yadda.

Anyways, for the past couple years I've had to go to the chiropractor (multiple individual ones over time) and they all say the same thing. Due to my surgery, which I did need, it puts more "stress" on the lumbar part of my spine causing tightness and deterioration. It also jacks up the positioning of my pelvis and sacrum. I have to go in a couple of times a month to get it fixed, then it's good for about 3 weeks, then I'm back to going in.

At it's worse, I get a numb dull pain in my low back that occasionally has shooting pains that go down my right leg. Does anyone else have these issues? It makes me so frustrated because going to the chiropractor so often is not a small expense and none of them offer any advice other than to keep a consistent schedule of being worked on.

Low back pain after deadlifts? Any fixes or replacements?

So, I really like deadlifts and even better: they're programmed in the Anabolix program that I have. Great right? Well, kind of. I'm really struggling with low back pain and it's not a boney pain, it's a muscle. I know this not only from the location, but also because I've had my share of injuries. Also, it only comes on the days that follow the deadlift, and when I cut the deadlift out of my program I don't have any pain.

So you might say, the answer is simple right? Just don't deadlift. Well, first of all, I have no idea of how the hell I'm going to replace it on the program, if anyone does have an idea, please share. Also, I would really like to deadlift. Both my friends and the gym teachers have checked my form and it's not that, apparently. I'd describe the pain as having a really tight muscle that comes from the side of my butt towards my spine, kinda like a upward V. I get more sore from the right side than from the left. I was wondering if anyone here had the same problem and found a fix or if I could replace deadlifts with something else.

Low back pain fix

Hey guys! Im soon hitting 20 years old which marks the 2 year mark of me having lower back pain. I had just started squatting in the gym and when I did 60kg/130lbs I just felt a crazy pain in my lower back. It hurt so much but some YouTube guy told me to continue training which made it worse. I tried doing light deadlifts at 60kg and felt a bolt of pain through my lower back and I later also did some boxing with the pain which made it worse. Fast forward to today and I’m still in pain no matter how many stabilizing and core exercises I do and stretches. What should I do? I really appreciate all feed back!My MRI said bulging disc in L5S1 outwards and to the right side, but I know that I couldn’t have been in pain for so long because of a small bulging disc, it has to be something else.Also I’m hyper mobile if it affects anything. When training I don’t feel much pain however it worsens afterwards. If I sit too long during the day I worsen the pain and If I get less than ~7 hours of sleep. Normally I’m at 2-3/10 in pain but I’m more or less handicapped and can’t so anything at all without risking pain.Thank you so much for reading if you made it this far!

Physical Therapy for Chronic Severe Low Back Pain

Hi Community-(First post ever, please excuse/help me improve any errors) Has anyone had their chronic low back pain dramatically improved/fixed through physical therapy to "strengthen the core muscles"? I have been through 3 rounds of physical therapy for debilitating low back pain without any improvement.
