A list of puns related to "Lord of the Dance (hymn)"
We had DS #3 3rd birthday part over the weekend. JNMIL has historically been queen of the boundary stomps when events include both his family and mine.
It started about a week before the party when I sent JNMIL a test and asked her to bring a specific side dish to the party, she texted back some passive aggressive BS about how am I sure I want her to make it since I make it soooo much better than she does. ::cue rage doves:: I responded back that we would love for her to make it, thanks so much. I heard nothing more from her about it.
Saturday was the party and everyone is arriving JNMIL immediately comes in and takes DD from me and sits on the couch. Whatever I was busy hosting and I didnβt have time for her shit. One of the guests at the party was our babysitter and her family, we LOVE our sitter, she is amazing! JNMIL had never met her so I made sure to introduce them, MIL said nothing to her. Whatever, rude, but not the rudest she has ever been. A friend of mine that had never met DD showed up with her family about an hour into the party so I went to take DD from MIL so my friend could meet her. As I tried to take her MIL turned away from me and tried to keep me from taking her ::WTAF bitch I will cut you:: So I grabbed DD away from her and handed her to my friend ::cue CBF::
As the party was ending she asked DS #2 if he wanted to go home with her and spend the night, he asked me I said sure, then she tells DS to go ask his dad if it was ok for him to go, I looked at her and said βdads opinion on it doesnβt matter, he is getting ready to leave for work for the night so it really only matter what I say and I already said OK. She was not pleased with my response.
All day on Sunday SO was at work, but for some reason MIL kept texting him to let him know what was going on so I had to keep calling him to find out what was going on even though I was the one at home and I am the one that handles about 75% (or more) the child care in our home.
MIL showed up with DS around 6pm and she had bags of clothes because apparently she had taken him shopping. She started to take the bags to his room and I said no, donβt go in his room it is a mess, I will take care of the clothes later. She proceeds to argue with me about it for several minutes and then just walks down the hall and into his room anyway despite my protests.
This would be a good time for mew to point out the fact that the house we live in is in my name only, when I wanted to buy a house SO
Who is βThe Lordβ in the context of the hymns and whatnot that we sing in shul?
Iβm new to attending shul, so I would like to just seek clarification.
Shinjin is the mind that is single;
The mind that is single is the diamondlike mind.
The diamondlike mind is the mind aspiring for enlightenment;
This mind is itself Other Power.
-Shinran (Hymns of the Pure Land Masters, 19) [Shinjin = entrusting, faith]
