A list of puns related to "Longwave"
Why is it that asphalt has higher long wave radiation than say grass or concrete even?
I thought that the higher the albedo, the higher the long wave radiation- but in this case, asphalt has a lower albedo than grass or concrete...so why does it have higher longwave radiation?
I've heard longwave beacons before, usually they're just morse code. However recently I've been hearing an interesting signal on 200khz. It's just two quick beeps. They are right after each other and the second one is higher in pitch than the first one. Then like two second of silence, and then the two beeps again. I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas?
So i just remembered something weird from when I was driving through QLD back in 2017. I was on the road and picking up longwave radio in one of those patches of outback with no signal st all. Except one station on longwave, which broadcast morse code repeatedly. It freaked me out for some reason. Does anyone know what this was for? Some kind of navigational thing?
I have been playing with my radios and I actually found something on longwave, it was not great and I could not hear it well but it was not static. do any of you know any resources on that? Even if it is another subreddit that would be great this is the only radio sub I know so if anyone would know it would be someone here?
