Hayley Wickenheiser is the obvious pick of the group, probably the first time a Class will be highlighted by a female player. I also can't see any first year eligible players getting the call this time around.
Alfredsson probably gets his call today, as well as Mogilny representing the Russians (1 Russian a year the past few classes) and CuJo rounding out an honestly weaker class.
I don't know much for the builders category, but I'd like to see Bob Cole get in as well. Sure he lost a step the last few years but listen to any meaningful hockey game in the last 3 decades of the 20th Century and you'll hear his legendary voice.
I assume Karlsson would be a lock, if he wins his 3rd Norris or if Ottawa could've won the Cup. Am new to this sport, is there any other situations like this?
Edit: No McDavid, Matthews. People who can retire now and make it is what I'm looking for.
