So I am apart of a team of people trying to develop a more efficient way to remove excess CO2 from the ocean and atmosphere. One of our ideas involved creating something to make seaweed and kelp farming more efficient and carbon negative, as well as also helping to restore kelp forests. We are planning on creating our own saltwater tank to test our ideas in. I was tasked with compiling a list of everything that would be needed since Iβm the one who has the most experience with fish tanks. However I am more experienced with freshwater and have not done a salt water tank yet. We are trying to create an environment that is as similar as possible to Monterey Bay, which is where we might launch our idea once it is fully developed. I figured that it would be best to ask people who have experience with salt water tanks for advice what equipment would be needed.
