The really interesting bit here is that Dragon Quest X offline is not included in this filing. Which puts a chance of localisation even further away.
Once again this info comes from Jordan Middler, a journalist who works at Video Games Chronicles. Please see the following thread for context: https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/rwsckr/square_enix_is_working_on_more_timed_playstation/
On the exclusivity, what the teased game isn't and why it hasn't been shown yet: https://www.resetera.com/threads/rumor-sony-wants-final-fantasy-games-exclusively-on-ps5-this-generation.537749/post-80023091

And clarifying that this game isn't another Final Fantasy: https://www.resetera.com/threads/rumor-sony-wants-final-fantasy-games-exclusively-on-ps5-this-generation.537749/post-80023499
>Not an FF game, just a game that would potentially divert focus from FF16, which is the main focus rn.
Update 1: it's not a new Dragon's Quest https://www.resetera.com/threads/rumor-sony-wants-final-fantasy-games-exclusively-on-ps5-this-generation.537749/post-80026268
In other countries it is listed for β¬79.99 / Β£64.99 / AU$114.95 / R$349.90 / C$93.49 / 5719 ΡΡΠ±.
That's for the base game only (fyi β¬79.99 = US$105), there's also a Deluxe edition. And it comes with Denuvo.
SE is trying to impose their "console pricing" on PC players.
So basically this could mean that the game is coming to the West! I'm so excited.
Theyβve done it with Dragon Quest I, II, & III, which arenβt the best versions, but they still ported them.
Itβs most likely a matter of time until the FF Pixel Remasters are released on Switch, but what about all the other games that havenβt been re-released on consoles for a while, yet have very good mobile versions?
Theyβre easy ports and easy money, whatβs holding them back? Maybe Iβm saying dumb things but I donβt know, what do yβall think?
Everybody says what Disney world they would love to see in the next installment, but barley anyone talks about what SquareEnix world, or at least character they would love to recreate or interact with! My idea is that they do mini-remakes of Final Fantasy games from a different point of view during the main plot, so like Yuffie's episode for Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Intergrade.
My pick would be Final Fantasy 8, when Balamb Garden accidentally crash lands into Fishermans Horizon. The reasoning for visiting that world would have to do with Aqua trying to train Kairi as a key blade wielder, so they go to a world that is pro-pacifist. At some point they would meet another version of Leon, or Squall, of that world. Since this is another worldline, Squall had picked Rinoa and Irvine to be part of his party earlier in the adventure. Basically, Squall, Rinoa, and Irvine are the guest party members in that world when Kairi and Aqua are exploring, it would be cool if they did team attacks/synergy commands as a group!
I've genuinely had this question for like 18 years now. I grew up playing final fantasy, started with 5, played literally all of them. I realized in 6, sabin had fighting game inputs for his limit break, and squall had timed inputs for renzokuken. Then kingdom hearts happened, and my friends and I believed "this is it, square figured out action gameplay", but chose not to implement this into mainline final fantasy games.
Initially you could see this as them retaining their turn based roots but then so many other genuine attempts at action combat came from them.. ff15 being a noticeable example. Like am I insane? Does disney somehow own that combat system? Why is it exclusive to kingdom hearts? I love and play the KH series, Kh2 final mix and KH3 on critical mode are in my top 5 action games of all time. So why not.. use it... on your other attempts at action games?
So we can say ff15 was botched, ff13 wasn't supposed to be action etc, but then what about Final fantasy type 0? Even final fantasy 16, yet to be released, yet seems to be leaning into the devil may cry style of action rather than KH. It's almost admirable, they struck gold with an action gameplay system yet they choose to neglect it and instead reinvent the wheel for games not named kingdom hearts.. anyone have any idea as to why?

I stopped caring about any of these franchises like 2 or 3 years ago. Why can't we get some brand new cool shit that has that same awesome budget of the big brand new games?
What would you want them to develop if money and resources were not an issue. Iβd go for:
Final fantasy 6 Remake - never managed to complete the game. Found the graphics to outdated to fully enjoy. But have heard the story is so good! Not necessarily a full remake as per FF7re, but a big graphical upgrade as per other remasters.
Final fantasy Tactics reboot - set in ivalice. I think this could be really cool as the last game we saw in the tactics family was for the DS. Think of a tactics style game but with the gameplay of Valkyria Chronicles.
Final fantasy 13 Trilogy - simple enough. All three games, remaster and rebooted. Probably for the PS5. Would want them to improve each game too. FF13 to have all characters playable, no caps for level or skills, more areas, areas expanded to not be corridors anymore, characters more fleshed out with more side missions and cutscenes
Final fantasy X Compilation - I see this being in 2 new games to the series.
Final Fantasy X-3 - they have teased this with the end credits of the remaster. Would be cool to see what happens next and finish the story and world of spira. Would be a good opportunity to have a turn based modern game with a battle system a fusion of FFX and FFX-2.
Final Fantasy X: Origin - a prequel to the series feature the pilgrimage of Lord Braska, jecht and Auron
And obvs.... Final Fantasy XVI - something along the lines of Agniβs Philosophy. Middle Eastern/African setting mixes with Ivalice. Something a bit new for the series, with a similar battle system to FF7re.
