Linksys router setup WITHOUT using their shitty app?

Hey all,

Just got a new linksys router and it's looking like the only option for setup is to use my phone to download their bullshit fucking app to do literally anything with the router. 192.168.1.1 redirects to "Hi! ust use our app 😊!" And I'm not fucking doing that.

Any hope or am I returning this thing to best buy?

Thanks

[USA-CA][H] Apple HomePod Mini, TP-Link Powerline Adapter, Cisco RE1000 Range Extender, Linksys E3200 Router, Philips Headphones, iPhone 8, BenQ Camade Mouse Bungee, & More [W] Local cash

Hi there!

Offloading some of my old tech on the cheap. Everything is in used, working condition unless otherwise noted.

First come, first serve. Local cash only. Local is 90715 & we can meet at a nearby community park.

Timestamps

******

Apple HomePod Mini, White (Model #A2374) - BNIB, Sealed - $60 SOLD AT ASKING PRICING TO u/sigmaperalta

  • This is BNIB, sealed in the original packaging. Sold new from Apple for $99.
  • This was my holiday gift from my employer last year, but we're all set with Alexa throughout the home. As such this was never opened and has been sitting in my office closet for a year.

iPhone 8, Space Gray, 64 GB - BROKEN - $20 SOLD AT ASKING PRICING TO u/sigmaperalta

  • This was my wife's iPhone for about 2 years. She dropped it and shattered the screen.
  • I had it repaired at a local shop where they neglected to tell me until after it was "repaired" that they could replace the screen, but that the home button would be iffy, and that the fingerprint scanner would no longer function. So the finger scan does not work at all, while the home button "works" but there is a slight delay on the haptic feedback and you can't really "double click" the button for some of the related UI capabilities.
  • The phone has been wiped and is otherwise in perfect working order and in great condition cosmetically.

RemoBell S w/ Wi-Fi chime - BNIB - $60

  • This is a BNIB RemoBell S video doorbell camera, made by RemoPlus. Sold new for $99.
  • The package itself was opened, but the doorbell was never removed as I went with a different option and never attempted any installation or testing of this device.
  • This version of the RemoBell S is hardwired, meaning there is no battery capability as is, and the doorbell has to be hardwired to power.
  • I'm also including an add-on that I purchased (also BNIB) which is an accompanying Chime that works over Wi-Fi and is powered by USB. This will function as an audible chime within your home that is triggered by the RemoBell S, so that you don't necessarily have to check your phone nearby to hear someone ring the doorbell. These chimes are actually kind of hard to find on their own, but the bundle sells for $150 from RemoPlus.

I want to change my TP Linksys router to a new one but do i need to call my ISP?

Hi i’ve had my router for more than 4 years and it’s terrible. It’s in the living room which is next door to my room we have 1 Gig internet and i still manage to have a packet loss on both 2.4 and 5hz signals and im using a Wi-fi Mesh Extender (Not a Mesh network like Eero just a wall plugin with a ethernet port) I get like 500mps for download but like 70 for upload. Recently my internet has increased on apex cutting from 40-60mps 1 packet loss to 20-23 no packet loss but on Warzone im still at 70-80mps and 1 packet loss. Even my xbox one network statistics says i have a 1 packet loss. Another weird thing i’ve noticed i used to have iPv4 AND 6 but 6 isn’t there anymore but my NAT Type is still Open. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Best router as an upgrade to my Linksys WRT1900AC?

Nothing is wrong with my router, it's been chugging just fine the last 8 years. However, recently I installed a raspberry pi for Pihole and I cannot get it properly working because the WRT19000AC does not allow for setting IPv6 DNS servers. So IPv4 queries will run through the pihole but not IPv6 queries. And I don't think outright disabling IPv6 on the router is a good idea.

Thus I'm looking for a new router of equivalent or superior quality, and of course has a more rounded out IPv6 configuration.

Kadena - Keesler Error Code On PC with Linksys Router

I have tried everything I've found in the way of troubleshooting so far. Port Forwarding, Disabling UPnP, Placing the PC in the DMZ(which seemed to have worked briefly), Setting Static IP, etc.. I'm at a loss here, and can't seem to figure it out. I'm able to play every other game I have, but no Vanguard. Has ANYONE figured this one out yet?

How do i add a Linksys - Max Stream AX1800 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router to the exact same Linksys router?

Hello everyone. My parents have a Linksys AX1800 router that they hired someone to setup for them, but it is in their basement.

I just so happen to have the exact same router that I don't need anymore and would like to use it as an access point upstairs to extend their Wi-Fi coverage.

Can someone tell me how to change my existing router to access point (even though I currently have it setup as a router on my account). Then how do I connect the 2 routers? Their router is not setup on my account. Do I need to reset the routers and start the setup process from scratch on my account?

Linksys Velop router slow…

So I just got installed today! I called the support line got the PPPoE info so I can use my current WiFi setup the Velop. Using the Velop I can only pull about 150mbps, but the Plume was pulling 1.1gps easy. I tired a few things but nothing helped. My Velop system is new so I went back to my ASUS system it pulled 1.2gps. I found a article from the UK where some had issues with fiber and Velop. Not sure how this is possibleπŸ€”

infected Linksys router on LAN wtf??

So I had set up a log thing for fun, that is a web server that shows a log of requests it received...

Now I randomly check it while setting up something else and I was bewildered to find a flood of requests from a local address...

![image](https://dsbg.qonq.gq)

10.0.0.47 is a Linksys E4200 (v2 iirc) in bridge mode. 10.0.0.48 is the machine hosting the web server.

It's been sending these requests exactly every minute since like last night.

From what I've found, it appears the /HNAP1/ requests are related to moon worm, and /JNAP/ is something else... .

As it is now, the router itself has nothing on /HNAP1/ but does have something on /JNAP/.

The router was previously used as a gateway to the internet. I can't remember whether I had remote access enabled or not. But I suppose it could have gotten infected back then, and resetting it doesn't sterilize the OS data?

Would installing a firmware update sterilize it? But the newest version on Linksys's website is lower than what's installed, "2.1.41 (Build 164606)" versus "2.1.42.183584". πŸ˜•

Or should I just dump the piece of shit? But I'm cheap and like to use whatever's laying around if it's up to spec.

I really wonder how it could have gotten infected. Considering there's something at /JNAP/ (i see a different, raw 404 page in the browser)... maybe something else on the LAN is compromised :S
