Asking for a friend...
Anyone else have massive amounts of this stuff? It doesn't sell for crap and we have 2300 and probably more on the way.
Its been over a week and I have been unable to locate hand sanitizers in Pune. Everytime I go to the medical stores those guys apologise to me and say that they aren't bringing in new stock. All that the stores have available are random sanitizers which look VERY doubtful on appearance to me that they'll work.
The last thing I need is the illusion that I am keeping safe by applying a fake sanitizer.
Disclaimer : This is way by which I cured my hands and this may or may not work for everybpdy but has worked for me. Please do not expect any scientific evidence or backing from this post as that is not the intention of the post. This is purely from my experience.
Backstory
So I've had a problem of over washing my hands even before this whole pandemic. IDK if it's some kind of over clean obsession of some sort I have but I tend to overwash my hands. I love cleaning and hence I tend to wash my hands several times while cleaning. But even if I'm not cleaning, I have cats and their cuteness is overwhelming so I keep touching them and then rewashing my handsπ€¦ββ.
So I visited a dermatologist a few years back because I started getting small bubble like things on my hands(still don't know what they're called) and my hands were super itchy so I kept scratching them and it was just painful in general. The skin on my hands was also peeling. At first my derm thought it was an allergy and told me to stay away from certain things like junk food, chocolates or anything particular I ate during that time. But when it didn't stop and I had to revisit him in a few months, he realised that I was probably over washing my hands. He said the reason why initially my hands got cured for a few days by his medication and creams but then the problem kept recurring was because I was washing my hands too frequently. So he prescribed me a medicated cream and a dry skin moisturizer.
Sure enough, my hands healed and I tried my best not to wash my hands too frequently(I didn't have cats back then so it was easier lol). Now that I have cats....... sigh Well that's a long story but I'll tell you my problem. Well the dry hands and bubbles and itchiness reappeared. Probably because it's also the pandemic and I keep using sanitizer and liquid handwashes(I personally think liquid handwashes are harsher than hand soaps because hand soaps don't remove oil in one wash for me but liquid handwashes do. I may be wrong. Like I said this is not a scientific post but what Ive personally experienced). It got so bad and painful that I decided enough was enough. I kept using the moisturizers I had lying around but they didn't work. I decided to repurchase the one my derm recommended few years back.
#I used a dry skin moisturizer folks!
Yeah well no surprise there. Here's a review....
