A list of puns related to "Levi Schmitt"
Did anyone else think they played up the American Jewish mom tropes a bit much in the latest episode? Her coming to the hospital with Kugel to talk about wanting her son to be/marry a doctor and then going on about kids names. Like for such a super woke show it came off more antisemitic than humorous
i actually felt like he had no development and his storyline was boring until i saw one scene in station19. he was such a sweetheart
watch this and cry with meπ
I'm watching through S19 for the first time, and last time I got to the episode where >!Ripley died!< and I stopped watching because it made me so sad. I'm watching through the show again, and am currently paused on the episode right after that, because Levi Schmitt is the literal best human being. >!With the flowers, telling Vic what Ripley said about spending his life with her!<... it's so beautiful and so sad, and I am a basket of emotions right now.
It's ironic that the most development his character had was in Season 15 when he was recurring and not part of the main cast. Now it seems he's only on the show to "fill the gay spot" left open by Arizona and Callie's departures. They've done a pretty lackluster job at integrating him with the main cast. I can see they are attempting to integrate him by making him Jo's roommate but even that relationship was barely explored. I feel like his character's storyline for the past 2 seasons has just been having sex with Nico throughout the hospital. I'm also annoyed how Nico revealed that he hasn't come out to his parents/basically lied to Levi and then the storyline was never revisited again. Instead, they just have Levi and Nico sleeping together again while Nico continues to treat him like garbage. What exactly are the plans for his character? Nothing currently indicates that they even have plans for him other than breaking up/making up with Nico over and over again. I'm honestly disappointed because I really liked Schmitt's character in the beginning and thought he had a lot of potential but it seems like they just keep pushing him aside. Maybe with DeLuca's departure they will have more time to write for more characters? Which brings me to my other point, why did they bring in more main cast members when they're already struggling to fit in everyone in one season?
Well, Dr. Mason Post is played by Kyle Harris and I have to say he's a snack <3

*All of this is just my opinion. If you like Schmitt, rock on! I'm happy for you, honestly!
Holy cow, I cannot stand this character. He is a total wimp who fumbles his way through being a surgeon and through life in general! I should be pumped to see a gay dude like myself on the show, but instead he gives me second-hand embarrassment!
Why does he still live with his mother? Why did he need to be scolded by his boyfriend before he decided to practice his skills in a lab? Why did he feel self-righteous enough to give Avery a hard time over a very, VERY understandable unwillingness to profit off a family's pain? Why did it take him so long to ask that poor little boy what he wanted to be for Halloween instead of going through costume after costume with him? Why did he get sassy and tell Kim to shut up (was that supposed to be cute?) during the New Years party last season? Why is he trying to be a freaking surgeon when anything and everything makes him scared and anxious? If he had a diagnosed anxiety disorder, that would be more understandable. But you can't just break down all the time when people's lives are in your hands!
I know that we are supposed to find him endearing, sweet, a nervous guy coming out of his shell, etc. Instead, I find him incompetent and unlikable! I would update my will if I this guy was going to be my doctor! Parker is awesome, I would so much rather him be a regular instead of Schmitt. When I was growing up, seeing characters like Callie and Arizona made me more able to accept being gay. I would be shocked if any little kids out there are thinking, Oh cool, Schmitt is gay and so am I! Maybe I will grow up to be like Schmitt!
...OK, that's my rant over. My hatred for this character is probably irrational, and no offence to Jake Borelli. I just CANNOT. STAND. Levi Schmitt! *The End* Thank you for reading.
Dr. Levi Schmitt is a poorly written character that is insulting to geeks, nerds, and role-players, and probably insulting to homosexual males.
For one, he's following the stupid trope of nerds, geeks, and role-players not getting laid.
In on episode he says, "No one was getting laid!" - As if they all wanted to and couldn't.
Now, in season 15 episode 14 he says, "So much better than a comic book!" after being told he's better at 'other things.'
I don't know if he's saying that sex is better than a comic book, or being in a relationship is better than a comic book, or what (and that's actually part of the problem with his writing!)
To have him say stuff like, "So much better than a comic book!" as if the comic book was the goal, is STUPID!
Why did he want that comic book?
- Well, he expressed earlier he wanted that comic book for bragging rights.
Why does someone want bragging rights?
- People want bragging rights because it raises their status in the group.
Why does someone want a higher status in the group?
- Because people with higher status get more attention, more 'love' and 'affection', and generally have a higher chance of mating, and/or getting the mate they want.
=-=-=-=
Instead of a nerd who plays a fantasy role-playing game in his basement, imagine instead he's described as a guy who goes to the bar and discusses sports with his friends, and then says, "And no one's getting laid!"
Change the "Sun Sword," into "Easton HXP (Aluminum) Hocky Stick."
Replace, "Comic book," with "Sports Car."
And look at how poorly written the character is. They act like nerds want comic books for different reasons than jocks want a baseball bat or glove, or sports car.
=-=-=-=
Geeks and nerds get laid. In high school, geeks, nerds, drama-club kids, band-camp kids ("One time at band camp!"), and role-players were getting laid. They were laying each other. There's research that suggests that geeks and nerds get laid more than jocks do, and as someone who was a geek/nerd/jock in school (Cross country (5th best on my team), wrestling (2nd place in State), baseball (Left field and occasionally, oddly, first base), drama-club (stage crew), computer-club (programmer), and martial arts (several different kinds, at once, highest rank was blue-belt and I would have gotten black if we hadn't moved to a different state)) I can tell you, my own personal experience, my nerd friends were doing it more than my jock friends who constantly talked about wanting to
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hear me out. I genuinely loved george. I do think a lot of his scenes before were annoying and the whole izzie and george thing was bleh, however i LOVED his character so much most of the time and i think if his character stayed in the show for much longer we definitely wouldβve seen some character improvement. I honestly feel like Levi Schmitt was made as a parallel for Georgeβs character in a lot of ways. Think about it: Both started out as the runt of their group, very clumsy and awkward. Both had very similar experiences first time in the OR. George messed up on the appy his first time in the OR and was called 007. Leviβs first experience in the OR was dropping his glasses into the open body cavity, giving him the βglassesβ nickname. Both grew and matured a lot over time throughout the show. I wholeheartedly believe if George lived and came back from the army as a trauma surgeon, he would grow a soft spot for Levi too, seeing a very young, awkward version of himself in Levi. I genuinely believe with time the two would become an AMAZING friendship. George would be Leviβs mentor and teach him so much about trauma and that would end up being Leviβs specialty. Imagine these scenarios.
-George and Levi becoming friends during a surgery, bonding over the nicknames and telling each other the stories. -Levi telling george about Nico kissing him in the elevator and ghosting him, & George is pissed. When he would see Nico in the hospital he would give him glares & snarky remarks. -George being Leviβs best man during the schmico wedding. -George seeing Levi as a little brother and wanting to protect him, but also help him grow and mature more. -Levi going to George for advice on the whole Nico grieving after killing josh situation. Rather than levi trying to handle the whole thing himself & irresponsibly as he did, George would give him very rational advice and help him understand, kind of how Link did, but less angrily & more so informative and supportive.
i can go on forever, but i really wouldβve loved to see these two bond because i believe an amazing friendship couldβve been formed.
Thoughts on this?
Hey /r/MLS, as some of you may have remembered, I began a project last summer where in a made-up universal, each U.S. state (or for you folks in KY, MA, PA, and VA... commonwealth) had their own state soccer team.
Since then, I decided to wait until the MLS off-season to begin the project again, and to finish it! So to get everyone up to speed, I created a list of 23 players for each U.S. state. Some states, such as Texas, California, New Jersey, and New York, it was easy to fill out squads the point where I had to make tough cuts to players. Other states, such as Alaska, Wyoming, and Arkansas, it became extremely difficult to get a formidable squad together. After I name the starting XIs, I then give a "CONCACAF equivalent" to where this state would finish in CONCACAF qualification. Some states would likely play in the Octagonal, while others would be struggling to be relevant in CONCACAF Nations League C.
Finally, I decided to add the following parameters for a player to be eligible for selection for a specific state team:
#Threads
Part I (AL-CA) | | Part 2 (CO-GA) | Part 3 (HI-IA) | Part 4 (KS-MO)
#Alabama
No | Pos. | Player | Age | Club (Nat.) | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | GK | Mekhi Dimbo | 20 | UAB Blazers (USA) | Born in Alabaster, AL |
2 | DF | Chris Richards | 21 | 1899 Hoffenheim (GER) | Born in Birmingham, AL. USMNT player. |
3 | DF | Phanuel Kavita | 28 | Birmingham Legion (USA) | Lived in Alabama for at least six months |
4 | DF | Jake Rufe | 25 | Birmingham Legion (USA) | Born in Huntsville, AL |
5 | DF | Stephen Payne | 24 | Portimonense (POR) | Born in Birmingham, AL |
6 | MF | Mael Corboz | 27 | Verl (GER) | Born in Mobile, AL |

Season 17 Episose 16 - I'm Still Standing
Levi gets accepted into the vaccine trial. Meanwhile, Amelia and Owen treat a car crash patient, and Hayes and Jo are met with Luna's legal guardian.
Please remember to keep everything civil and relevant to the episode. As always this is a spoiler-friendly zone. If you are not caughtup so not readany further of you don't want something spoiled.
Tonight's title is I'm Still Standing
18x8 was Predictable so predictable we can almost know everything thatβs going to happen
One Owen is definitely not going to die but it feel like it will be one of those situations where heβll be hurt for most of season
Schmitt most likely wonβt be fired but heβs about to fall into a deep depression over his first lost (I can unfortunately see nico doing to Levi what he did to him over his first loss sorta like a β what goes around comes around thing β) and his friendship with helm will be compromised. Webber will be biggest at fault for letting and leaving Schmitt in that oR alone he will also start to forget things or not remember everything as it was showing early signs or Alzheimerβs or dementia
Dr.wright is concerning me some he gives off a male version of helm but crazier and we can be sure that even if there was a time Bailey most likely not going to cheat Ben (hopefully) because greys ruins good relationships. Back to dr.wright this one is a stretch but I low key feel like he might become a (real )new love interest for Schmitt (hear me out ) Iβm not just saying that cuz Iβm tired of nico and Levi relationship but because I see him and Schmitt butting-heads A lot in the near future and it will go on until Schmitt gets into fight with his bf and then cheats on nico (someone gonna cheat eventually)
Winston and Maggie are literally just there
Link going to be hurt about Kai and kiss but at this point Rather that than link and jo getting too close
I feel Hayes will tell the suicide secret but Owens β¦ Meganβs she feeling very suicidal from ever thatβs going on with her and even if he turns out ok those feelings just stop so thatβs something thatβs going to come up in the future
I really miss the older episodes that included mentorships like Mark/Jackson, Arizona/Alex, Teddy/Cristina. I feel like they added really interesting and entertaining nonromantic connections between characters. What current pairings would you like to see with residents like Levi, Helm, Ortiz, Perez, etc.?
I'm a gay man and at first I was really excited that they finally introduced a male gay couple in GA. But then it turned out the producers just treated them like a representation for the sake of representation, meant to replace Calzona so no one would say they got rid of their LGBT characters but not really developing them nor giving them any essential storylines together and skipping important moments in their relationship. Then, when they finally started getting more screen time, it turned out Nico was a jerk. I was happy that he was supposed to be gone from the show after season 16 but then that didn't happen. This week, I really hoped Schmitt went to Nico's apartment to break up with him and that the new hot doctor would be his new love interest. Then that didn't happen either and now they're pretending that Nico has suddenly changed. I hate it and I really just want them to finally break up and Nico to disappear. They're a terrible representation of a gay couple and I really don't want to watch them every week.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Idk he just wants to use Levi (who is a gem!!) I love how he (nico) helped Levi find his true self but also like fuck that guy? He basically wanted to use Levi for sex and when Levi said he needed more than just sex from his BOYFRIEND??? He accused him of trying to change himβ¦. Like Iβm sorry but if thatβs what a relationship is to you and doing more than that is βchangingβ you I wouldnβt want to be with you anyway. You need to do some serious work on yourself before βcommittingβ to someone if you can call it thatβ¦ not to mention Levi bares his heart to him over and over and heβs constantly insensitive and cold and closed off and a massive dick! Every! Single! Time! I canβt stand that dude tbh. It probably doesnβt help I have an ex named nikoβ¦. LOL
Bare with me I just started season 17 so if he has redeemed himself or started acting like a human being I havenβt seen it yet π
Do your worst!
Itβs weird that I more in what was going on with Schmitt (hopefully they donβt do what they did for DeLuca and switch him to general at the last moment) But Schmitt being step up to be a trauma . Is fantastic I always saw him in that field or maybe plastic And it is actually being said that heβs a senior resident . ( didnβt like how that second year was taking to to him these residents have no respect) Also why does he have so much chemistry with literally every gay person brought to the show except the one who plays his boyfriend and his best friend (tho it wasnβt said if she gay or not yet ) but the way he consulted Travis was beautiful if it wasnβt for both of them having their relationship that I donβt think the writers are ready to ruin I say that was a set up for them to start talking to Each other more maybe they can be friends I think that would be great Levi needs an experienced gay friend but for some reason in the greyβs universe itβs almost impossible for two people not to sleep together in the end . But with that being said I liked 18x05
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
So in the past few days I've seen some interesting news out of Israel
First the Israeli women's team announced that Gefen Primo would be playing for Red Star Champigny:
(In hebrew) - https://www.ynet.co.il/sport/article/one397201
Yesterday they announced that they'd hired Alain Schmitt as an assistant coach:
https://www.judoinside.com/news/4961/Frenchman_Alain_Schmitt_becomes_womens_coach_of_Israel
... and today, the Israel Judo Association announced on their socials - that Raz Hershko, and Timna Nelson Levy would also be going to France to play with ESBM - Schmitt's former team.
On the surface it seems that they're taking their three best women and exposing them to a more diverse set of training partners, while also adding a coach to replace the departed Yvonne Boenisch (now HC of the Austrian National Team).
Is there something else at play that I am missing?
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
LIKED Hayes , Megan and Winston the whole scene was amazing
Tom coming back was nice
The way Levi comforted Travis
The way s19&23 came to hospital and was portrayed like a real family
Pru when she was walking to Ben and Bailey
DISLIKE
The ptsd story not to undermine the message but I feel like that storyline has came and gone since season four or five ( whatever season he choked Cristina)
Meredith and nick kissing (no explanation needed)
The way that second year resident was talking to Schmitt (said once Iβll say it again) these knew residents have no respect
Bailey panic I know the situation had everyone stressed but she does this too often for me to feel her pain if you catch my drift
Care to comment yours
She'll mess up with a pairing, but she's not afraid to discard it if there's no chemistry after (DeLuca x Meredith, Maggie x Jackson, George x Izzie, etc.). I think she's seeing the fact that Nico and Schmitt have zero chemistry, and it probably boils down to the fact that Nico does not seem gay at all. (One could say he's a 'masculine top' but even then he just doesn't look like he desires Schmitt at all sexually, he looks like he wants to hang out with his dorky cousin).
This Mason Post guy is amazing. You can tell he's actually gay. Schmitt's actor is gay. This feels like a real chemistry-laden pair. It's perfect. Fire Nico early S18, and move on. Send him to the Parking Lot of No Return, Hahn-style, and call it a day I say.
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
Heard they've been doing some shady business.
BamBOO!
Theyβre on standbi

In the introductionβ to the 1995 reissue of his 1973 masterpiece Crash, J.G. Ballard discusses βthe balance between fiction and realityβ. βWe live,β he writes,
> in a world ruled by fictions of every kind β mass merchandising, advertising, politics conducted as a branch of advertising, the pre-empting of any original response to experience by the television screen. We live inside an enormous novel. It is now less and less necessary for the writer to invent the fictional content of his novel. The fiction is already there. The writerβs task is to invent the reality.
The paragraphs that follow are a little disappointing, as Ballard unquestioningly endorses some rather conservative beliefs about writing: first, a psychologism (the writer βoffers the reader the contents of his own headβ), then a positivism (he must βdevise hypotheses and test them against the factsβ), then a moralism (his novelβs main purpose is cautionary, a warning against a brutal technological future). But thereβs still something important here, hinging on that word βinventβ. Ballard doesnβt tell us that novelists should βdiscoverβ or βintuitβ or βrevealβ reality: they must invent it. Reality isnβt there yet; it has to be brought forth or produced; and this is the duty and stake of writing.
Thereβs been a lot of talk in recent years about reality in fiction, or reality versus fiction. Take the many articles about the βtrueβ writings of Karl Ove Knausgaard, or the huge amount of attention paid to David Shieldsβs polemic Reality Hunger. Time and again we hear about a new desire for the real, about a realism which is realistic set against an avant-garde which isnβt, and so on. Itβs disheartening that such simplistic oppositions are still being put forward half a century after Foucault examined the constructedness of all social contexts and knowledge categories; or, indeed, a century and a half after Nietzsche unmasked truth itself as no more than βa mobile army of metaphors, metonymies, anthropomorphisms ... a sum of human relations ... poetically and rhetorically intensified ... illusions of which one has forgotten that they are illusionsβ (and thatβs not to mention Marx, Lyotard, Deleuze-Guattari, Derrida etc). It seems to me meaningless, or at least unproductive, to discuss such things unless, to borrow a formulation from the βrealistβ writer Raymond Carver, we first ask what we talk about when we talk about the real. Perhaps we should have another look at the terms βt
... keep reading on reddit β‘But here goes nothing
I like schmico and think there endgame if they hopefully donβt ruin Schmitt good character by having him cheat which not going to lie I feel is in the near future First , yes the relationship can be a toxic at times and cringe worthy as well . but I still think that Schmitt and nico have the most underrated , over-hated and very heated Relationship there is . Now what that being said Nico is a underdeveloped character so his toxicity isnβt explained for and to me thatβs the only reason why people should not or donβt like him and ofc the switching back and forth on if love Leviβs or not. but they way that people talk about jake and Alex being bad actors isnβt right . You donβt know how many times I seen people on (mostly) Reddit talking the upmost trash about the actors themselves. And I understand criticism but much of what being said isnβt criticism itβs just rude and disrespectful.
Next Meredith and Derek werenβt toxic but they sure as hell didnβt have a heathy relationship especially in the earlier seasons. Derek was kinda of a jerk to Meredith at first I mean he clam down eventually but still .
Owen is way way way over hated than he should be . Yes he said some problematic things before and he is terrible in reality and relationships just like almost every character to enter greyβs set . But in my honest opinion he was the best chief . And the best at actually teaching his residents.
but then I remembered it was ground this morning.
Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
Pilot on me!!
Christopher Walken
Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
When I got home, they were still there.
Or would that be too forward thinking?
