A list of puns related to "Krista Vernoff"
...and were allowed to tell her all the things that she has done wrong as a showrunner what would that be?
It can be decisions of certain characters she made, storyplots etc.
I would say: It was a mistake to let Tom go. Especially with the whole Parkinson plot he would have been the perfect character to be in charge of the research program.
2nd thing I would say to her: Please pack your stuff and leave. Haha.ππππ
Sooo after a bunch of duds for Meredith's love interest post Derek... the first spark of real chemistry I thought Ellen had post Patrick was with Scott Speedman aka... Nick Marsh.
I did not like Riggs, I did not like Deluca, I was OK with Hayes, aka McWidow, but something about Meredith and Nick is reminiscent of good 'ol GA chemistry and I am here for it.
I do hope it is NOT another triangle situation with McWidow and Nick though.
This rant's gonna be long y'all.
I understand it's important to talk about the issues but can't they do it in a less obvious way? We have characters giving long ass monologues, directly TELLING us what's right and what's not, characters suddenly being too woke etc. Grey's feels like a political propaganda debriefing now. Every episode ticks off some social problem. Wish they could do it more subtly like earlier seasons.
So Krista fired them because according to her, their storylines had reached their natural ending and because there were too many series regulars. Funnily enough Krista hires SIX new series regulars over the next few seasons ( Teddy, Levi, Koracick, Link, Hayes, Winston ). Krista simply didn't want to write for the two characters introduced after she left Grey's in season 7 because who's gonna do research on what happened to those characters right? When you take out the two most interesting characters, the show's gonna become boring Krista.
I don't know what's her obsession with hiring only men but it's getting annoying. The last main female character we got apart from Teddy was Maggie. In season 10. 7 years ago. Since then she's only hired men as series regulars, from Deluca, ben, Riggs, link, Levi, Koracick, Hayes and Winston. It's well known that in tv dramas there always needs to be balance. Most of the drama is usually written such that it comes from female characters so no wonder Grey's isn't dramatic anymore. Krista won't hire female characters and won't write dramatic stories for the male ones.
The storyline that would be covered within one episode earlier is not stretched to 4 episodes. The writers are clearly running out of plot.
Most of the current characters are absolutely flat, with no personality whatsoever. Characters like Callie, Addison, Izzie, George all had personalities. The current characters are so indistinguishable from each other. Ask me to define Winston or Levi or Deluca's personality? I can't say anything because there's nothing to say. They're too normal and fit in the box kind. The only personality Levi or nico have is that they're gay and Asian respectively. That's sad.
I miss old Grey's when there would be comedy music playing during cafeteria scenes, or dramatic background score during

Following my previous post that got a bit of traction, I want to add some ridiculous and funny ideas on how to fix these mistakes. Feel free to add your own ideas!
>13 year old Tuck Jones in 2018's Personal Jesus episode:
This is the hardest to fix. We can say Tuck imagined being 13, thinking about someone he saw on the news, as he imagined the same thing would happen to him when he was 13. There was a reference earlier in the episode that he was a pre-teen, so maybe this is plausible. A stretch, yes, but they could make a subtle nod.
>Ellis Grey the resident wins Harper Avery in 1988 according to S10, but the following season suggests she finished much sooner and went to MassGen for a fellowship by 1983 after giving up Maggie:
Maybe Ellis was a fifth year resident in 1988. She was a resident, not an intern in 1982 according to S6 (likely began her internship in 1981, aged 28). She was born August 1953. Maybe Ellis began her residency in 1980-81, second year residency in 1981-2, third year residency in 1982-3. It is plausible Ellis simply transferred after June 1983 as a third year, and maybe she took some time to adjust to single parenting as a woman in the early 1980s and an admired surgeon, and did a research year. Then she returns for her fourth year in 1986-1987, and finished her fifth year in 1987-1988, aged 34/35, during which she won a Harper Avery. She is an author too, so she could have wrote a book or two. And maybe Webber and Thatcher really did reunite during this period. Perhaps Thatcher had trouble getting a hold of her amid the plan to divorce, as he wanted to marry Susan after already having toddler children with her, and maybe Richard showed up unexpected to support her amid their misunderstanding. I think this is a possibility.
>Schmitt's group were interns for extra years:
I don't know about that one, disrespect perhaps? Not considering themselves or others not considering them their proper residential years, disorderly conduct, etc. maybe a throwaway line about respect would retcon it.
>DeLuca's everything: He is an intern then a resident then an intern, has 3 different ages stated in dialogue, and a dead mother since childhood who was previously said to be alive when he got beaten by Alex. DeLuca is like musical chairs:
The same as Schmitt thing, respect or lack t
... keep reading on reddit β‘so Krista who is currently the show-runner of Greyβs Anatomy and Station 19 is honestly a terrible writer. She ruined Greys once she took over and is now doing so with station 19. Killing Ryan off out of no where was definitely her doing, and the constant dropping of storylines is also her doing. She claims the shows to be hers after her own show she created gets canceled and I think itβs so stupid how she thinks she made those shows what they are today, no wonder her show got canceled. She always feels the needs to bring politics into Greys and Station 19 in a way itβs just forced now, I mean the whole entirety of the 4th season revolves around BLM and Miller being black, thatβs not what the show is... itβs a firefighter show, well atleast was because there hasnβt even been any fires ever since Krista took over
She'll mess up with a pairing, but she's not afraid to discard it if there's no chemistry after (DeLuca x Meredith, Maggie x Jackson, George x Izzie, etc.). I think she's seeing the fact that Nico and Schmitt have zero chemistry, and it probably boils down to the fact that Nico does not seem gay at all. (One could say he's a 'masculine top' but even then he just doesn't look like he desires Schmitt at all sexually, he looks like he wants to hang out with his dorky cousin).
This Mason Post guy is amazing. You can tell he's actually gay. Schmitt's actor is gay. This feels like a real chemistry-laden pair. It's perfect. Fire Nico early S18, and move on. Send him to the Parking Lot of No Return, Hahn-style, and call it a day I say.

1." Trying to be too woke "
I think this is an issue many shows have been facing this year. They all try to include BLM story lines, have LGBT chracters, etc. This is of course a good thing, especially since Grey's used to be quite "colorblind". However, they do an awful job at telling those stories. Making Nico's entire personality that he's gay and Asian doesn't do anything. Making Winston's entire personality that he's perfect for Maggie and black doesn't do anything either. Having characters like Jackson or Tom do absolutely cringe-worthy monologues about fighting the system, demanding change, etc is horrible story telling. Because it literally is story TELLING and that is not why I am WATCHING a show. I remember one scene in season 2ish when Izzie's patient was speaking Chinese and she asked Christina to come and translate only to find out that she was Korean. That was racism and showed how someone like Izzie wasn't aware of it at all, probably like many viewers too. So yeah, I don't think trying to be woke is wrong, I just miss them SHOWING us those issues instead of giving speeches about it.
2." Firing Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw "
As much as I love April and Arizona, I don't know how their stories could've continued, but since these character had already been give years and years of back story, they could've definitely come up with something. It probably would've been fine (a showrunner shouldn't necessarily base their actions on the actors' wishes) if they'd ever been properly replaced, but replacing complex characters with multiple characters with absolutely no depth doesn't help the story at all. I also loved their friendship and let's be honest they were two of the "happiest" Grey's characters and have probably been a significant reason as to why Grey's doesn't feel as light-hearted anymore. Hiring back Teddy was just awful and I have no idea why they did that. Maybe because she WAS a good character, but her story line was over and well ended. I liked her teaching Christina, with Henry and then leaving for Germany. Why did she have to come back when she doesn't have anything to do other than be unsure whether she wants to be with Tom, Owen or sad about Allison.
3." Too many men "
Idk, I read somewhere that there used to be way more women in the earlier seasons, so i

Krista and I must have very different interpretations of that Tom/Teddy scene because I didn't get them being finished from that at all, rofl. I saw it as Teddy telling Tom what he wanted/needed to hear but that she clearly didn't mean it at all.

This may be an unpopular opinion but the writing this season sucks. For one why has meredith spent the whole season on a beach it was cool when Derek and George came back but now she is just there with people who are still alive. Owen and teddy are over they need to call time of death on this relationship that had finally ended seasons earlier but they brought it back for no reason every episode teddy tells owen she's sorry and Owen just says he doesn't forgive her. Maggie has spent the entire season going on a zoom date with Winston only stopping for a speech about how covid is effecting POC. Amelia just has some scene in meredith's back yard talking about how hard it is for her, her and link popped back at the hospital for one episode. I feel like I'm watching they same episodes just written different ways some of the patients even stay the same this week's episode was good but they put crucial information for the plot in the stupid station 19 episode which some people didn't watch
Krista vernoff has been nothing but detrimental to grey's. Here's why :
Her idea of converting grey's to be a rom com.. Like seriously woman? This show is literally known for its dark twisty storylines and deaths and strong emotions and you want to convert it to flowers and rainbows?
Seasons 15 and 16..oh boy, where do I start? The writing has been going downhill since many seasons but these two last seasons have been so bad!!! The writers literally have zero ideas on what to do so they literally keep going in circles with the storylines.
The dragging of the story : its pretty clear that krista cannot manage grey's and its evident in the dragging of storylines which she is doing. I was mildly interested in finding out the father of amelia's baby but at this point I just don't care. We are almost to the end of season 16 but LITERALLY NOTHING HAS HAPPENED IN THIS SEASONS. this whole season has been filler due to dragging of storylines. Its clear that they don't have much of storylines so they drag whatever they have upto a point where it becomes unbearable to watch.
Lastly the characters : krista let go of April and Arizona, the only two characters interesting enough to keep grey's fresh. Out of the current season 16 cast nobody is half as interesting as the season 8 cast. At this point I don't care what happens to appears for 5 minutes per episode but still is apparently the main character Meredith, whiny and annoyingJo, ugh boringDeluca, *mildly interesting *Bailey and schmitt, literally nothing to do Richard and owen, *why is he still on the show *Jackson, so done with these charactersTeddy and Amelia and *please kill off her character *Maggie.
Sorry just had to get it out of me
Dear Krista,
While I find it nice that youβve recognized that your white privilege has afforded you the ability to pursue your career and be the present showrunner of the longest medical drama, I think you should acknowledge a lot more. I have been a fan of Greyβs Anatomy since I was little. I saw myself in Cristina Yang. Shonda broke my heart a lot but taught me how to stand back up after every single heartbreak. It was a groundbreaking show that addressed real problems in such a subtle and nuanced way. But that show doesnβt exist today. The writing hasnβt been good in 7 years. The storylines have dragged. The diversity isnβt as inclusive or in-depth. You may say hey we had a Muslim here and oh we have a gay asian, but you never gave them any depth and you made them so annoying that it wasnβt worth watching them. I saw myself in Cristina. I was proud of her. And then you brought the first gay asian and heβs stiff as a board and was horrible and had no substance behind him.
You took powerful black women and you reduced them to angry black women who are just bitter and mad and jealous of other people. Bailey was someone I looked up to. And now I cringe every time you make her bow down to Meredith. Catherine had the best potential to show how much power she has and how good she is, but you made her take the burden of the sexual assault cases with Harper Avery. Nobody cared about Harper because he was dead. Everyone cared about Catherine for covering it up even though sheβs a black woman working in a white manβs world. You put that burden on her shoulders and you had her black son tell her how could she. Even though we all know that her decision at that time was made because she couldnβt let all her hard work crumble just because the figurehead couldnβt keep it in his pants. You reduced her. You took the one powerful, black, business savvy woman in this series and you knocked her right back down.
You prop mediocre men over the powerful strong courageous women. Weβve had seasons of Owen doing nothing and actually being an emotionally abusive man to all his girlfriends. But you chose to fire Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw who are arguably the best actresses and the best characters written on this show. You prop up Jackson Avery and his privilege, but he hasnβt had a decent storyline since April.
You reduce Maggie to this whiny annoying woman. Another black woman that you tanked. She wasnβt bad in the beginning but sheβs not the worst one to watch. You took

Basically, do you think her run as showrunner has been good for the development of the show and it's characters? Do you think she respects and includes audience feedback?
