If You Feel Wronged By a Judge, There are Legal Remedies Which Can be Taken

All,

I haven't seen this posted here before or articles like it, but I wanted to let you know there is hope if the judge in your divorce has it absolutely out for you. Your lawyer may advise you against this course of action, but there are times when you shouldn't listen to your lawyer in my opinion.

  1. If there is a legitimate reason (judicial bias, pro-mother bias, allowing the mother to get away murder or other major issues (alcoholism, neglect, drugs, etc.) you need to think about this very carefully and if the judge has made an error in law (appealable if worth it) or if it was a clear violation of the law.
  2. I filed a complaint and an appeal on my own after my divorce was finalized, for some pretty serious conduct on my ex's part. I could not afford an attorney at the time, and represented myself. I got to know quite a bit about legal precedent, as well as how to shepherd those decisions to a decipherable conclusion, binding our judge on what he should do. He not only ignored admissions of criminal behavior while my ex was under oath, and actually complimented my direct and cross examination skills.
  3. The judge in my case, as well as other judges in my county were all recused from my case. While I didn't get the decision I wanted, it was a clear and loud message to this judge, who couldn't be bothered to do their job (disregarding binding precedent, etc.).

The only way to shed light on a corrupt judiciary is to report it to the judicial commission which disciplines them. One thing I didn't do but should have was to get the media involved, which would likely portray me as a complaining father. I did get state politicians involved as well, and while I'm not sure how much help they were, I was assured calls were made on my behalf. Here is a link to an article I read today about judicial discipline and how it is often unchecked, but the disciplinary committee will do nothing if you don't at least follow the reporting process.

Do I have any legal remedy to attempt or do I give up?

So I’m unsure if anything illegal is going on with this in fact I’m pretty sure this is all legal but I’m looking for advice on how to proceed in trying to get the issue addressed or changed (I live in KY but I’m from the UK so not always sure on where to turn)

Our water provider also collects the payment for our trash pick up, our bills have been steadily getting higher for a little while so I sat and went enough the bill today, we are paying the commercial rate for trash pick up instead of the residential rate, a difference of around $14 a month and have been for the 7 years we have been in this house.

When I contacted them to ask why I was informed because we rent we are considered commercial even if the house is zoned as residential and will pay commercial rates. We also pay a $5 a month customer charge and a 3% convenience fee to pay our bill unless we go into the one office in town and pay in cash.

I’m aware I may be fighting a losing battle here but I want to attempt something to try and get this changed. I have reached out to both the local city government and the governors office (they have been extremely helpful in the past) and have left voicemails.

Basically do I have any chance or recourse to fight to have this changed or should I just accept it and be mad about it. I just find it ridiculous that I pay $15 more a month that my neighbor purely because we rent for trash pickup.

Legal remedy for neighbor piling garbage outside house

Is there a legal remedy for a neighbor that just piles garbage (household and furniture) in their front yard?

We have a house in our neighborhood that keeps piling trash in front of their house. They have (3) side-load rolling trash cans that are overflowing, and haven’t been put at the curb in weeks. On windier days, the lighter trash blows down the street and into other yards. They show no interest in attempting to control it.

To top it off, theirs is the first house you see in the neighborhood, so it creates a negative feeling for visitors.

Before you ask, they are completely unapproachable.

Future legal remedies against UK brokers in the case of MOASS f*ckery (which we all know is almost inevitable to some degree)

OK I think the encouraging computershare developments have just pushed the odds of a short squeeze dramatically in our favour. I don't think UK based MOASS f*ckery is being talked about enough

Whoever your gamestop broker is I don't think we should allow them to roll over like an obedient dog when some societal parasitic hedgefund manager in the states tells them to halt trading over here from his yacht.

I clearly remember freetrade's response in January because I was trying to buy the popcorn stock at the time (amazingly that trading halt on freetrade stopped my AMC purchase and I ended up piling into GME 14 days later - silver linings).

Apparenrly they rolled over but informed us all on twitter that they had informed the MM in America to say they weren't happy about it. THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

We need a plan. We are going to be treated as an irrelevant afterthought during MOASS due to our geographical location. Time we made some noises that we aren't to be f**ked with.

What legal remedies do I have in a property disput?

I have 3 brothers who have informally partitioned our ancestral land with the help of elders from our village.

The issue in a nutshell is that we were not aware of all our ancestral land which was situated far away from our village, so some properties were not included in the partition. I have always resided outside of the village because of my job. My brothers have taken advantage of this fact and sold some land that was not included in the partition. This land was in the name of my deceased mother who passed away without a will.

As is common practice, the amount for which the land was actually sold has not been mentioned in the sale deed, but a reduced amount is mentioned. I am afraid that there is more land which I have an interest in but am unaware of.

What legal remedies do I have?

Is there a legal remedy in criminal law or only in criminal law?

Any help is appreciated.

What are the Legal remedies for to protect my money given as loan

Lets say, I give (a relative or a person I know) money with no collateral in the question. How can I legal bind them so that I don't have to worry about getting my money back. As in, can I ask them to sign a contract assuring they would pay interest timely (and the complete loan eventually). If so under what IPC/Acts are they legally bounded to do so (asking the name of acts and IPC so I research more about them in particular).

PS - Please give as much information as possible. This is my first question here. Really like this community. Thank you.

I said in my original post I would delete anything Jimmy asked me to delete. He publically asked his legal name be removed out of respect, so I removed EVERY reference I could find where I mentioned his legal first name. If I missed any, please let me know and I will immediately remedy the situation

THATS what accountability looks like.

I know he didn't address me specifically but his post was shortly after a post where I referred to him as [NAME REDACTED] so I will draw conclusions appropriately. I also advocate personally, as someone who doesn't like or trust Jimmy , to please follow suit. If you mention his birth name in a YouTube video, please remove it. It's more than a stage name to him to be called Jimmy. Let's not muddle our message with such a petty dig. We may have not known before - but we do now .

Let's be the bigger people. We do not need to sink down to a low level. Let's be classy to be heard out.

Jimmy it is. Better for nicknames anyway. If I can respect this, so can you.

car repair service kept car for 6 weeks and put 2000 miles on it ... what legal remedies exist for excess mileage?

This location is in Alabama.

My mom (70s) put her car in a local repair service on June 29 and got the car back on August 13. The odometer had an additional 2000 miles added and evidence of flora from another geographic location 500 miles away (beach sand and dune flora) when my mom picked the car up. The repair was supposed to be a simple fender replacement (older car, no fender electronics) and the shop kept delaying the repair completion citing covid and lack of parts. Finally the repairs were complete yesterday with the added 2000 miles.

Obviously the car was driven a lot and somewhere else without her authorization. What legal recourse does my mother have to get compensation for the car getting wear and tear on it?

Should she go to a different repair shop for a complete evaluation (she says her power window was broken). Should she also advise her insurance company, who paid for the repair?

Forced uncompensated overtime shifts in central government service. Available legal remedies?

Hi! This is my throwaway account as my other account has identifiable information on it.

I am currently serving in the India Meteorological Department (IMD) as scientific assistant and my current responsibilities include to make routine weather observations and dispatching them to a central point. Duty is of 6 hours duration - every day (no weekly offs) - and includes a rotational shift (rotates daily) - Morning, Evening and Night. So it needs 4 person to cover a day's shift and 4 person is exactly what is allocated to each such post. So, all is fine and good until when someone's got to go on a leave, which is when we are forced to do an overtime. Overtime rates are a max 24.15 rupees an hour and it's hardly ever get paid to us. Apart from the fact that the overtime rates are outrageously low, the department forces us to do continuous duty for hours which often extend to 24 hours and sometimes even 36 hours - without food or resting facilities. This is when I get really concerned for my health as going without proper foods and sleep for such long hours has already put my body in a really bad shape.

Anyways, I put this to the knowledge of my supervising officer and I have been made fun of. Allow to me say it, that the culture here at this department is really toxic. People who have connections do not come to the office on time and even skip a day's work without having to get their leaves sanctioned. I put this to the knowledge of my controlling officer, he threatened me with transfers.

I checked with other central government departments, where 24X7 watches are required, the arrangements are basically to sanction a personnel from a leave reserve (IMD don't have these). If however, a personnel suddenly notifies that he won't be able to join duty for urgent reasons, the personnel to be relieved have to continue for the shift or for the part of the period of the shift until a replacement is arranged. The personnel is provided with compensatory off for that.

Unfortunately, IMD doesn't have any concept of leave reserve and no personnel are arranged even when a leave is notified well in advance. As for compensatory off, only gazetted officers of the department are eligible for it and scientific assistants don't get to have compensatory offs even against compulsory holidays notified by the central government.

I am thinking of getting legal remedies as clearly overtime against leaves are not in the spirit of the benefits provided in the CCS (Leave) rules. If I

A Constitutional question regarding legal remedies

As far as I know, every law has written into it a range of punishments or legal remedies associated with breaking it. That range is what a judge uses to sentence a guilty party. This may be a generalization, but in practice I think is true.

Where are the punishments listed for a member of Congress breaking the law of the Constitution? Or the President? Or any government representative who has sworn to uphold that Constitution?

Thank you.

Is there any legal remedy for recovering cash loan?

So this happened atleast 6-7 years back. My dad’s close buddy came home one day to tell him that he was in an urgent need for some cash and would repay him soon once his cash flow is good. At that point of time, considering the fact that his friend was well to do, and he would definitely repay us back with the same, my parents mutually decided to sell a bit of my mom’s gold to help him out in good faith.

Until that point of time, this buddy of his was running a startup IT company and was generally well to do, and used to visit us frequently at our house for years. But once he took the money, he slowly stopped coming, ignored my dads calls and avoided meeting him at any cost. My dad did try his best to talk to him but no luck. Considering the fact that we gave him the money in cash, my dad was not able to think of a legal remedy for it too (also he did have confrontational issues since they were childhood friends).

The loan we gave to him caused a major liquidity crunch for us as it was a huge chunk of our assets. But since I was a school kid at the time I was not made aware of any of these by my parents.

I’m not sure there is any legal remedy to the above facts, but I would really like an opinion from the Redditvocates (lol, I tried) if this matter is worth proceeding with.

Thanks in advance!!

Note, that the city housing authorities cannot cite property owner for compliance issues, and cannot demand access for testing,

because older units are exempt from more recent sound transmission codes.

Under what circumstances, can a court order this property owner to grant concurrent access to both units, for acoustical testing?

Lawyers here? Can any class action lawsuit or any other legal remedies be taken against the distributors for price gouging or GPUs?

As it says in the heading, would there be any merit to the case? IGN India has recently done two articles, stating that retailers are being forced to buy dead stock along with the GPUs. I know that is was the case with AMD CPUs as well. The thing is, it would take a collective effort from the members of the community AND the retailers. These hardware companies have been taking the Indian scene, including TOs and the creators for a spin for a long time. Now of course I know that it would be preferable if this whole issue was resolved without the need of any lawsuit or taking the matter legally. But that can only be achieved if the content creators and the retailers band together and start calling them out. But most of them are too scared and the top content creators are like instagram influenzas; ghante ka farak nai padta (thye don't give a flying f***). Due to that, this conversation has only been limited to reddit. It needs to get out of it and get into the gaming mainstream. So right now, the only option i see that would actually have any effect is filing a lawsuit. So any lawyer who could help with letting us know what course of action can be taken, please do. It would help a lot.

Edit 1: Added translation

Clarification: I want to know whether a case can be made against distributors for forcing the retailers to buy the GPUs along with the dead stock, not against retailers selling it for a gouged price (TBH I don't think they have any other option to cover the losses they would make due to strong arming of the distributors).

False misbehaviour charges agaisnt my dad (government employee) who tried to expose high level corruption. What are the possible legal remedies ?

Backstory : My dad tried to expose corruption of some high level officials.

In 2018 My dad was transferred and at the same time promoted (everyone was only my dad was transferred) he went to court, the transfer was set aside .

One day out of no where my dad gets email from the official against whom my dad has always complained and he happens to be the immediate senior of my dad. The email mentioned that everyone is supposed to be in the office as xyz person is visiting to review "some complaints"my dad went to the office next day, and he was in the office till 4:30.(Despite my dad holding the second highest post in the office he was supposed to work in a remote corner of the building and no one really interacted with him since he joined this office) My felt nauseous and then he went to buy some medicines from a nearby store and he came back that day.

Now after few months my dad gets a show cause notice out of nowhere , It stated that my dad intentionally skipped the "inquiry " conducted by xyz officer who held the same post as my dad at that time the . We got to know that the same senior official filed fake misbehaviour complaints and got some juniors as fake witnesses . Mind you *no one informed my dad about the "inquiry" while he was in the office*. The complainant was more senior than the inquiry officer.( The inquiry officer is corrupt as fuck and he was recently caught red handed taking bribes)

We send our reply.

Then my dad is transferred again in 2019. we go to court again and the case progresses .We get death threats to withdraw the court cases. Police complaint filed. Police does nothing despite the fact that the number used to send the death threat is known by many and some ex employee uses that number and said something along the lines "hello this is xyz speaking". Police does nothing. They were bribed as well imo.(the main guy here is pretty rich and extremely corrupt, now retired(december 2020)So we still went ahead with court case and then out of no where we get a notice stating thatsomething likeyou were foudn guilty of this and that

we went to some advocate to file a reply and the advocate replied that we need some opportunity to defend ourselves

we get to do that via a video call with some person who is a friend of the main guyall of this was a formality and the person just laughed etc and said nothing and call ended. they now planned to take action against my dad. somehow due to the same court case against transfer which they wa
