A list of puns related to "Lazar Kaganovich"
Was Lazar Kaganovich a true marxist-leninist? What’s your opinion about him?

That would be funny I think
What are your thoughts on him? He's obviously a significant figure but it seems like communist circles rarely discuss him. The only strong opinions I've heard about him come from far right reactionaries that consider him Satan incarnate.
When Lavrentiy Beria took power in 1946, he conducted a number of purges against his political opponents, causing leading politicians and Red Army personnel to rebel and flee east and set up a rival government.
There was still opposition to his rule in the rest of the Red Army but he could not outright purge them. Instead, they were exiled posted to newly created Military Okrugs (Districts). To the south east went Andrey Vlasov to the Kazakh M.O. to pacify and reintegrate the Kazakhstan region. To the south west went Ivan Konev to the Kazan M.O. to fight German backed, and Tatar insurgents. From Kazan, Konev watches as Beria sullies the good name of Socialism, and plans vengeance not just against Beria but the West as well, who Konev holds responsible for betraying the Soviet Union to the Germans.
In the Kazan M.K. there are two faction seeking political control, and currently co-exist thanks only to the existence of the insurgencies:
Konev’s mission is to eradicate two insurgent groups in his M.O., the Tatars and the German backed VSOU (Armed Forces for the Liberation of the Urals). VSOU was established in 1945 as an umbrella organization of all non-Russian collaborationists in the south. Both groups can not be wiped out at the same time and the government must choose which to focus on. From the focus tree, choosing:

There have been some changes in TT so I looked over the code and made a updated list.
Since Authoritarian Socialism and Libertarian Socialism have been renamed to communism and socialism respectively, I will use the new terms.
I have some familiarity with the various paths but for my simplicity I will be typing down exactly what I see in the code and follow the way it is set. If I don't specify a path then you can assume it applies to all paths in the nation.
West Russia - West Siberia
The most noticeable change I see is Vyatka and Despotic Samara no longer have possibility of unification here. I also heard it was possible for Taboritsky to unify with Sverdlovsk before, because Taboritsky started as despotic and if you intentionally not progress to make him stay despotic.
Central Siberia - Far East
The only change I see here is the SBA cannot unify with LibSoc/Socialist Buryatia and can unify with the Divine Mandate instead.
Superregional Unification
The Red Order-Development Diary III: Birthplace of the Revolution
Hello, world! I am Jon or Comrade Jon to many of you and I am the Co-Leader of the USSR and Weimar Pact for The Red Order: First Days of Eurasia. It is with great honor and privilege to introduce you all to the Dev Diary of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on the one hundred and the fourth anniversary of the birth of the Revolution! In this Dev Diary, the lore for the USSR, the Weimar Pact will be provided. As well as some small glimpses of what we have to look forward to in the 10 years of gameplay for the mod!
Before we begin, I would be doing my colleagues, comrades, and compatriots a massive disservice by not immediately thanking them for the opportunities that have given to me, from the USSR lead, Bruhingrad91, to the Redtide Lead, Tukh Stan#0001, to Community Lead Harold Ink and to every single person on the dev team. It is an absolute privilege to be able to get into Discord every day and work with all of you. We have built an amazing community together and I look forward to the day when we can all celebrate the release of this mod! The entirety of this Dev Diary is the work from the collaboration of The Red Order Dev Team and I could not have done it without the work of them and the countless others who have come before me.
Let’s begin, shall we?
Background Lore and the Hungarian Revolution:
The proletariat’s will for freedom did not only occur in Russia during the First World War but also in the Hungarian Soviet Republic. The second Communist state in the world, after Russia, was proclaimed by Bela Kún in 1919 and emerged with a vast amount of support from the workers of Budapest and other industrial centers. The rural regions of the country, however, were vehemently against the new government. In an effort to unify his country around a common cause and to secure the support of the rural people, Kún proclaimed his support for Greater Hungary and attacked north into Slovakia.
Yet, not all had seen the enlightenment of Marxism. In the south, a counter-revolt led by Admiral Miklós Horthy found its footing. French arms and money trickled into the hands of the Whites all the while having no formal support... Despite this, the Hungarian Red Army managed to liberate large swathes of Slovakia and push the White Forces back. Then, Romania attacked; striking into Transylvania with their experienced army, they managed to overrun the Hungarian outposts in the region. As

I’d like to start out by thanking everyone for all the support and debate that stemmed out of the last two lists. I’ve received many kind words and thoughtful responses across the last two posts, and I couldn’t be any happier. (For those who are interested here are the links to my previous posts: Far-East and Central Siberia). Now, this list will cover the five Western Siberian unifiers, and while there are certainly fewer of them than say the Far East or Central Siberia, these five certainly make up for it with their character and flair. With the recent announcement of Toolbox Theory releasing soon, I received a huge boost of motivation to complete this list and get it out before TT’s release on Saturday. Now, without any further ado, here are my rankings for the Western Siberian Warlords.
5. Yazov and the Black League
Yazov and the Black League is hands down one of the worst possible endings for Russia. What starts out as a nationalistic, reclamationist ideal under the purview of Karbyshev ultimately degrades Russia into a faceless, identityless automaton ruled by a hardened despot. There is little to praise about the Black League and much to unpack.
The Black League in Karbyshev’s final days is a nation rife with problems. The top government officials are corrupt, the army is in need of reform, and the citizenry isn’t doing incredibly well in terms of resources and amenities. The national experiment aimed at Russian unification spearheaded by Karbyshev seems to be failing, even in the face of some minor reforms and anti-corruption measures. However, this would all change with the death of Karbyshev and the ascension of Yazov. Immediately, the new Hetman of Omsk begins a campaign of terror and destruction. Terror is made the order of the day when Yazov significantly purges the government, vacating spots held by corrupt politicians and filling them with sadistic loyalists. Yazov empowers the Internal Security force turning the territory into a police state. On top of this, however, an even more elite secret police force named the Black Hand is established. This group keeps tabs on both the citizenry and the Internal Security, and they themselves report ex

During the First World War and disastorous defeats of the Russian Army against German and Austro-Hungarian Forces, the popularity of the Russian Monarchy decreased dramatically. In Feburary 1917, riots and strikes broke out across the nation, especially the Capital, Petrograd. Mass protests began on 23 February, and revolutionaries began clashing with Police, and by the 27th, Army forces in Petrograd. 3 days later, Emperor Nicholas II abdicated the throne, and the Russian Empire was dissolved. However, the new Provisional Government was unpopular for continuing the war with Germany. The Bolsheviks, a movement within the Russian Democratic Labour Party, called for Peace with Germany, Land for the Peasents, and Food for the people. Their movement became massivly popular. After defeating an attempted Army coup, the Bolsheviks, led by their leader Vladimir Lenin would launch an uprising. On the 24th of October, the Petrograd Soviet (Council), supported any Bolshevik action against the Government. On the 25th, the Winter Palace, was captured by Red Gaurd forces. The Bolsheviks then organized elections, however, the Bolsheviks lost to the Socialist Revolutionaries. Soon after, Lenin dissolved all other political parties, an organized the All-Russian Congress of Soviets. Even before the election, fighting across Russia had already begun, but now it would descend into chaos.
Antibolshevists, made up of Socialists, Republicans, and Monarchists, would form a unified front against the Bolsheviks with the merging of the left-wing KOMUCH, and the Right-Wing Siberian Government. An attempt to reestablish the Russian Republic was made, but it ended under a military dicatorship following a coup under Admiral Alexander Kolchak. Kolchak and his followers made up of the White Army. Kolchak however did not see any sucess, with his forces mostly failing his offensives. However his ally to the south, General Anton Denikin, almost took Moscow, if not for a Anarchist Uprising in Ukraine. By 1923, the Russian Civil War would end in a Bolshevik victory. However, almost a million of White Army forces and supporters would flee into Exile into China, the United States, and Europe. Following Lenin's death, General Secretary of the Communist Party, Iosif Vissarionovich Jughashvili, or Joseph Stalin, would become the new Premir of the newly created, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. However, Stalins policies would proove ineffective. His attempted collectivization of

Chiprovtsi, Bulgaria
Word took some time to get up into the mountain towns, even in 1967. The people had little interest in the goings-on in Sofia or, of late, in Belgrade generally speaking. There were grumbles when Bulgaria surrendered its sovereignty to the Yugoslavs, but the nationalists were hushed then. People went back to work in the mines, and over the years the War was banished to the realm of bad memory and the union with Yugoslavia-- well, they did little to upset the boat.
Then came the news from the interior. Chairman Chervenkov had been forced to flee Bulgaria as the Yugoslavs attempted to arrest him and… well, who could say what else? People knew what it meant to be arrested, though, seldom did it yield good results. There was a murmur, and the nationalists-- once cowed, but no more-- finally boiled over. Mine workers congregated in the courtyard of the Orthodox cathedral, and one spoke to the others atop a crate.
“Once there was Bulgaria, and now there is Yugoslavia. They take our coal, they send our men to Germany, they take our women out of our homes and put them into their army, and now they want to purge Bulgarians from the Party! Is there no end to what Yugoslavia will take from us?”
The blackened men grumbled, still fresh from the mines. The votes came in: it was nearly unanimous for a strike. Portraits of Marshal Tito were taken down from the villages; replaced by portraits of Stalin, Dimitrov, and Chervenkov.
Word arrived from Georgi Damyanovo, Bobov Dol, and other mining towns that the workers had come to similar conclusions and would join in the strike. Truly, it seemed like the socialist dream come true: the workers were organizing.
Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria
Word reached Blagoevgrad well before the mountain towns of the failed effort to arrest Chairman Chervenkov, leading to much disquiet in the ranks. The miner’s strikes resounded through the valleys of western Bulgaria even louder than that earlier news, to many soldiers what had been the failed arrest of Bulgaria’s foremost representative in the government had now become much more real. Buglarians were, to their eyes, rejecting rule from Belgrade. Col. Gen. Sabev called the 3rd Motor Rifle Division to alert, in

Lazar Kaganovich was sitting in his office, smoking his pipe, convinced that he had won a great victory, the unity of the communist bloc had been secured at the expense of a couple hundred square kilometers of useless land and rock. Finally a win that would secure the stability and image of the Soviet Union.
Or so he thought.
In one of the many dark corners within the Kremlin, a putsch was brewing, dissidents within the CPSU were very unhappy, either hardliner stalinists like Shelepin, liberals like Kosygin or moderates like Brezhnev. These men were, for different reasons, discontent with Kaganovich’s rule over the Soviet Union, due to different reasons, either a perceived weakness against the enemy, a personal resentment due to a missed promotion or economic failures to improve the lives of the Soviet Citizenship and lack of economic growth.
The putsch
Shelepin began contacting his Komsomol and KGB associates to thwart any possible crackdown by Kaganovich, Zhukov readied his troops and isolated possible loyalists, everyone ready to overthrow Kaganovich.
On April 18th,1965 the world changed. Kaganovich was preparing for a meeting with the head of GOSPLAN when he heard the roar of vehicles outside. He rushed to the window and saw, atop a T-62, Marshal Georgy Zhukov, accompanied by other generals. He opened the door and shouted:
-GUARDS!
Two Guards joined him immediately and began escorting him to a safe room below the Kremlin, running down the stairs he was soon joined by Molotov
-Lazar they are trying to overthrow you, we must run and then gather our forces
-Yes, now quickly join me.
As they went down the stairs they heard gunshots, yelling and running inside the many floors of the palace. As he was reaching the basement one of the guards was shot dead, Kaganovich turned around to spot Marshal Zhukov with a handgun, he looked at his other escort, a young kid, barely aged 25,
-Run, save yourself
The young man ran past the old Marshal, who assured him he would not be harmed.
Aftermath
Kaganovich,Bulganin, Molotov, Pervukhin, Voroshilov were all tried and purged, Kaganovich was forced into retirement, Molotov was sent to the far east to manage a collective farm, Pervukhin was sent as economic ambassador to Finland, Bulganin was shot, Voroshilov was protected by the army and sent into a dacha to retire.
A troika was formed by Alexander Shelepin, a pro centralization hardliner, with a hate for corruption, Mikh

In this Post, while it's a Good Showcase of Russian Warlords who deserve a Special Interaction Between each other, I decided to add a few more, note that my Writing/Storytelling is Atrocious
Hyperborea (Perm) VS Divine Mandate of Russia/Siberia
This goes right of my head as to how Obvious this is, I'm surprised the developers haven't added one already, either an Event or a Short Story with the amount of Storytelling. Other than Sergey Taboritsky's Holy Russian Empire, Valery Yemelyanov's Hyperborea is a Close 2nd Contender.
This goes without saying, Ultranationalist Genocidal Slavic Nazis vs a bunch of Peasants, Russian or Otherwise believing in a Humbler and Kinder Orthodox Faith. Now we all know the Famous Holy Russian Empire vs Divine Mandate, but I believe this 2 Warlords fighting would be JUST below that probably in 2nd Place in how much events and stories could play out between them both.
Instead of Kind and Humble Christian vs a Genocidal Heretic following a Corrupted Version of Christianity, This would be Christians vs Genocidal Nazi Pagans and perhaps just like Holy Russia vs Divine Mandate, Alexander Man could call Velimir an Anti-Christ or another Biblical Evil/Villain, seeing as Taboritsky is given that Honour already, While Velimir would see Alexander as the ""Greatest Test"" for his Army seeing the Divine mandate as nothing more than a Bunch of Poor Lunatics under the Rule of a Jewish convert to Orthodox Christianity, that espouses Kindness, Humbleness, Humility and Compassion, all of which Velimir's sees as Weakness and everything wrong with the Orthodox Faith/Church. THIS last point bring me to another,
Velimir in real life despised Christianity and saw Alexander Men, who both existed irl as everything wrong with the Orthodox Faith and some people theorized that alexander Men was killed by a disciple of Valery Yemelyanov.
ALSO before the Divine Mandate was fully released in the Base Game, the Developers gave a lot of Hints of what they were, with hints being that it was a Nation ran by a Religious Fanatic in the Far North of Russia, another euphemism for Hyperborea
A nation led by "The Father" in Far North with the Famous Phrase "The No

Of lesser but still signification concern, recent efforts to silence the Algerian peoples seeking decolonization while French diplomats and their Soviet minders harangue their British counterparts over the British decolonization process is the height of hypocrisy.
Most recently, the French Socialist Union has joined with the Soviet Union to attempt to silence the voices of the British people by throwing the British delegation out of the United Nations. The pattern is growing increasingly clear: our old wartime allies have become soldiers of the government in Moscow. Hopes that the French communists may turn out a different breed than those in the Soviet Union were, and are, forlorn.
As such Parliament has voted to invoke the Smithers Act at Tier III, ceasing all trade beyond agricultural products. Parliament followed this by passing an additional bill recommending the Government freeze assets held in British financial institutions by French military and government officials and the French government itself, advice which the Government has assented to. Instructions have gone out to the same major financial institutions to do precisely that. Officers in the Foreign Office stand ready to coordinate with our friends elsewhere in Europe on how Britain will remain a faithful partner in our economic obligations to them.
It is the express hope of Her Majesty's Government that the Anglo-French relationship will one day be restored, but at present the mounting offenses committed against the United Kingdom by the French Socialist Union warrant response.

> The position of a leader of the Soviet Union is never certain. It was not for Lenin, it was not for Stalin. It most certainly is not true of Lazar Kaganovich, First Secretary of the Communist Party since the death of Stalin.
> Kaganovich and his allies oversaw a purge of anyone not dedicated to the hardliner Stalinist approach in the waning days of Stalin’s rule. A troika of Kaganovich, Bulganin and Molotov emerged from the power struggles of the early 1950s. Malenkov, Khrushchev and anyone else that could have opposed them were purged and shot. And though Kaganovich cleared out his enemies, he was forced to appoint new, younger men in their place. Younger men such as Alexander Shelepin.
Alexander Shelepin
> A graduate of the Moscow Institute of Philosophy, former first-secretary of Komsomol and now Chairman (at least notionally) of the Committee for State Security. Shelepin is the first secretariat and first non-voting Presidium member born after the Russian Revolution. Alexander Shelepin represents a new generation of leaders waiting in the wings. A generation that seeks a more enlightened approach to communism in the Soviet Union, and that seeks to prepare the USSR and communism more generally for its ultimate clash with the United States and its capitalist allies.
> In particular Shelepin and his protégé Vladimir Semichastny are the vanguard of a communist party faction that came up in Komsomol between the 1940s and 1950s, and for whom the eclectic rule of ‘Iron Lazar’ represents a continuation of Stalin’s failings, without the successes of the previous regime. The loss of Vietnam has particularly irked the pair, and those that sympathise with them, so too has the growing ‘red bureaucracy’ in the USSR, and the continued Chekism of the KGB, which dominates every sphere of life in the country. Many of their criticisms of the current Soviet system echo those made by Trotsky more than thirty years previously, though they’d never openly admit it; Kaganovich is overseeing a sort of ‘degenerate workers’ state’, at risk of stagnating, unable to meet the challenge of the west in Vietnam, unable to secure Korea.

"The Rise and Fall of the Stalinists", by Interesting_Man15, from the secret writings of Ivan Konev
The Rise and the Fall of the "Stalin-ists":
Vladimir Lenin’s death saw the publication of his will or “Last Testament” by his wife, which saw Lenin disparage Stalin, denouncing his “crudeness, hostility to fellow party members and excessive power” and recommending his removal from the post of General Secretary. Read aloud at the 13th Party Congress, Stalin resigned in shame, paving the way for Bukharin. Following his rousing speech at Lenin’s funeral, Bukharin firmly asserted himself as Lenin’s true heir and was elected to the post of General Secretary by the party, making him the undisputed leader of the USSR.
Stalin and his supporters, by now colloquially referred to as “Stalinists” at this point, were soon demoted and sent on informal exile to western Siberia, with Stalin himself appointed to a powerless position of factory inspector, before his unfortunate death in an industrial accident in 1929. Following his death, the remaining Stalinists rallied around Kaganovich and set out to rebuild their power and influence. Bukharin preferred ruling with a softer touch, and so elected to avoid carrying out any significant purges of his ideological rivals, believing that the potential instability of such actions would be too great, as he also reverted Lenin’s 1921 ban on factions to encourage more ideological diversity and discussion in the party. This decision would both be a blessing and a curse, as it allowed the rise of capable politicians like Mikhail Suslov and Andrei Zhdanov, but also allowed the Stalinists to persevere and rebuild.
The opening up of trade between the USSR and the rest of the world by Bukharin saw the Soviet Union affected by the Great Depression and experience an economic downturn, vindicating the economically isolationist theories of Stalinism in the eyes of many. With the attention of the Central Government preoccupied elsewhere by more important affairs, Kaganovich and the rest of the Stalinists were able to begin slowly rebuilding their power and influence by forming connections across the entire union.
Moreover, with some relative autonomy, Kaganovich began to implement Stalinist rapid military industrialization policies in Western Siberia, creating a significant military-industrial complex. While not as large as the Siberian Plan, t
