A list of puns related to "Kabushiki gaisha"
I have been working the last 5 years for a small Japanese company that imports foreign goods. Thanks to my connections in my home country, the company has grown from having 5 employees to 10 today. Most of the company turnover comes now from goods that were introduced by me.
I enjoyed generous bonuses and other perks, but recently when I asked him for a raise for the nth time, he told me that he is going to make me a partner of the company instead. He is going to prepare an offer with details, but I would like to know beforehand what should I expect.
Has someone been made partner of the company he was working for? It is a kabushiki gaisha, so I wonder if I will be included as hokinin, or perhaps I will be given stocks through some notarized procedure.
I plan to get a lawyer to check the partnership offer, but I appreciate if someone can offer his experience. Thanks.

Hi all. I just received a strange call from someone and was wondering if anyone else experienced or heard something like this.
My grandmother picked the phone up first and was told that they were calling from Kuro Neko Yamato. They said that they have a package for my grandfather and was wondering if they can come drop it off at 6pm because we weren't home earlier. My grandmother was confused so she asked whats the package and they said they don't know.
So, my grandmother calls me over and asks if I had a package and I said yes I ordered something from Yahoo Auction but it's supposed to arrive Saturday (they probably heard me talking to her as I was next to the phone). I switch with my grandmother and ask what's up to the guy and he said we have your Yahoo Auction package can we swing by at 6 to drop it off. I asked what's the package and they said they didn't know and that they would double check and call us again and immediately hung up.
It's obviously someone fake. We called Kuro Neko and they said that the number that called us isn't with them. We also reported to the police and they noted it.
And then, just a few minutes later, we get a call from a Kabushiki Gaisha and they tell us about our land/home and say they know we are trying to sell our land and want to talk.(which is not true but we are sort of in a mess with some other Real Estate who tried scamming us). So, I just hang up, but they kept calling like 10 times in a row non stop.
Weird series of events in a row, but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced a weird "delivery sagi" like this? And if there's a possible link between the two separate callers? Thoughts?
I am in the process of trying to create a realistic version of the iconic Totoro bus stop sign that is as close to the onscreen version as possible.
A scene from My Neighbor Totoro.
To do this for any Ghibli prop is difficult because of continuity problems.
Bus Sign Disk
In the sign disk, for example, the diamond trademark logo for Toden Railway is on the sign sometimes and other times it is not.
Sometimes it looks like the artist drew "TO" in the diamond, other times it is a squiggly line representing letters, other times it is impossible to tell. My philosophy, when recreating something, is to take the most complete and largest version of the prop as the standard and fill in missing details from other appearances.
Since there is never any true continuity on most iconic objects, there is a lot of personal choice involved. I also imagine that the animation drawings are an artist's interpretation of a real object in a real world.
The Toden Railway company trademark
In this instance, the "TO" in the trademark diamond is an artist drawing something based upon what would be in a real trademark diamond. If you look at real Japanese trademarks, stylized lettering appears to be rare in the 1950s and 1960s.
Most lettering in Diamond-shaped trademarks were normal in the 1960s
So, in my opinion, a simple, straight "TO" as in Sign 1 is more likely to represent what the Toden Railway company would have used in the real world (even though it is a fictional company).
[Sign 1: The \"TO\" is simple in this version of the trademark logo.](https://preview.redd.it/txe3i46us0i51.png?width=4896&am

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
Well, toucan play at that game.
Martin Freeman, and Andy Serkis.
They also play roles in Lord of the Rings.
I guess that makes them the Tolkien white guys.

Edit: i went to sleep and now my inbox is dead, thank you kind strangers for the awards!
Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.
I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.
When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."
From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"
Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards, kind strangers! I'll let my son know y'all enjoyed his joke too!

He should have a good vowel movement. His next diaper change could spell disaster though.

That was the punchline
Imagine you got to choose what people and companies work on every minute aspect of a fifth animated season of Code Lyoko, but couldn't pick anyone involved with the original production. Who would you pick for what, and why?
For voice acting, I'll link a video I made a little while back in the comments, though I have made one change since then. In the video, I picked Jason Marsden for Ulrich's VA. However, I have since changed my mind to Lucas Raycevick, an example of whose work will also be included in the aforementioned comment.
The showrunner of this season would be Steven Moffat for his work on Doctor Who, most notably for his design and writing of the Weeping Angels, Silence, and the Vashta Nerada, for which wiki pages will be linked below for those unfamiliar. Give this guy a malevolent AI capable of pretty much anything, and you have some of the most intense X.A.N.A. attacks ever when he's firing on all cylinders.
For music, I'd say a tag team with Laura Shigihara and Jonathan Coulton, the former for her work on Plants vs Zombies and the "To The Moon" duology and the latter for his work on Valve's "Portal" series. Shigihara would likely compose the opening and real-world scenes minus Virtualization, while Coulton would take the end credits and Lyoko scenes plus Virtualization. Examples of their work will be linked.
Code Lyoko has 2D and 3D animation to worry about, and a different studio would take each. 3D animation would be handled by the Japanese-based Kabushiki-gaisha Porigon Pikuchuazu, or "Polygon Pictures" for us non-weebs, whose body of work includes the 2008-14 "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," the 2017 "Blame!" movie on Netflix, and "Transformers Prime." For 2D, my pick is Mook Animation, the studio behind "Transformers Animated" and "Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase."
What about the rest of you? Any personal picks for the production crew on a hypothetical fifth season?
Without missing a beat he asks "Daddy, do you know how much room you need to grow Fungi like that?"
I did not know.
So he tells me "as Mushroom as possible!"
So proud.
