Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster. I’m wondering if this sub would consider Jackie Hill-Perry to be fundie adjacent? She’s an “ex-gay” figure who’s affiliated with Beth Moore and Priscilla Shrier and was on a TBN talk show, she also follows Hillsong and Joanna Gaines on IG but Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the same time? And yet one of her recent tweets said “God doesn’t have to explain the season you’re in or why He’s allowed it” which to me sounds more fundie/authoritarian style than some of the more “chill” and “hip” churches I’ve been to in the past which tend to focus more on more warm and fuzzy things like god’s grace.

I would personally consider her to be in the same camp as someone like Jeremy Vuolo because he is also somewhat fluent in secular culture (he follows John Mayer and Kanye apparently?) but still has many fundie-lite associations as well.

But what do you guys think?

Hi. I like statistics. Personal opinions are fantastic, but it always gives a nice overview about "what's happening" across the world with lists like these. So, I added up IMDb and mubi ratings (for the hype page and the snob page to be a bit mean :b) in order to get some better results. And yes, I know the title, but here you go, get TV shows too (though not as thoroughly researched outside of English languaged TV). :)

DISCLAIMERS: Given how new those films are, their ratings will change, and this is not meant as a final list but as a nice overview to share and discuss.

(Films in CAPSLOCK only have ratings on IMDb, films in CAPSLOCK have only ratings on IMDb and rated above 8.0 so that I removed 1 point. Indian films with only ratings on IMDb lower than 8.0 are in CAPSLOCK and lose 0.5 points. I started doing this for diversity's sake, because otherwise there'd be overwhelmingly many Indian films in the top 10 as people of the respective countries seem to have a different rating habit (comparable to the high discrepancy of MCU films between IMDb and mubi, No Way Home this year 8.9 / 6.8). If you feel like that's stupid, feel free to feel so, I marked them so that you can know what the actual ratings were. +1 for THOSE +0.5 for THOSE.

Interestingly, this year, there's also one non-Indian film affected by it: Emergency Declaration with the fantastic Song Kang-ho and Lee Byung-hun, so you might want to bookmark that one. Which by no means means that the Indian ones aren't worth a watch, mind you!

I have also excluded anime films that are spin-offs or sequels to big shows such as the (undoubtedly genius) Gintama finale and the Violet Evergarden movie as they are a special case.)

RHOM, S2E13, 2012

The housewives are heading to Bimini, and Adriana, along with five suitcases, arrives at the airport but forgot her passport. She has to forgo the ride on the private plane and then misses her second flight.

Karent talks to Lea about getting Rodolfo to commit, and she tells her to put a timeline on the relationship so she can get what she wants. Later, after Adriana arrives and the women get Lea involved in taking shots, she brings up the Karent conversation from earlier and Karent didn't like that. Lea - if she wanted to tell the ladies, she would have told the ladies, right?! But, what she doesn't know, is there is an article about Rodolfo, with a 24-year old saying they are meant to be.

Joanna says she's using their weekend away to decide whether or not her and Roman's relationship will continue. Lisa says that after not working for four years, she felt she was losing her identity (which is why I opened up a small business!), with Karent toasting the women to a peaceful weekend, which immediately follows with rain, which I just feel is SO Karent.

Alexia decides to bring up the Rodolfo rumours in front of everyone, and she and Lisa say he is cheating on her. She says it can't be true - she hasn't seen it with her own eyes, and neither had Alexia!

I love the printout! Cell phones are less drama!

RHOA, S8E5, 2015

We're back on the boat where Cynthia and Porsha are fighting, and after being mad about being called bitch by Porsha, Cynthia grabs Porsha's hands after she wagged her finger, Porsha straddles Cynthia, and Cynthia responds by kicking Porsha right in the stomach.

Cynthia talks to Peter, who tells her she's taking out other things on Porsha and needs to apologize. They go to lunch with the other women, but go outside and talk between the both of them and figure out what happened and choose to move on from it.

RHOBH, S7E1, 2016

We begin by celebrating Erika's 45th birthday, and she gets two things from Tom: call about how he can see the house but he's not in the backyard, and a lawsuit! I'm kidding. It's a Marc Chagall painting, and a blank panther carrier ring worth $79k. Definitely borrowed or bought with stolen money!

We meet Dorit and her group of staff. For two kids, she has a baby

Summary

-Goedeker 1847 ($GOED) is an e-commerce company in the durable goods (appliances and furniture) market – a rapidly growing $40 billion industry. Goedeker is merging with Appliances Connection, which will be led by the current CEO of Appliance Connection, Albert Fouerti, who turned a brick-and-mortar store in Brooklyn into an e-commerce powerhouse generating over $155 million in sales in just a few years. -Pro forma Goedeker has a market cap of $330 million, is guiding to >$500 million in sales (Price-to-Sales<1) at 14% EBITDA margins, $62 million in income with a yearly EPS of $0.32 (forward P/E of 10) and is growing at an incredible 36% Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR). It is priced at a fraction of the cost of its competitors (1/3 to 1/8; Overstock.com, Wayfair, Purple etc). If growth continues and $GOED is assigned a comparable multiple to its peers, the potential upside is in the range of $18 to $23 (6 to >7X of its current share price [$3]) within the next 12 to 18 months.

-Goedeker has an activist shareholder which appears to be fighting for control of the board ahead of the November 10th meeting. Investors seem to be very confident in current management's ability to lead (and rightly so), but the details on this situation (such as their purpose, alternate candidates, etc.) are evolving rapidly. We expect Goedeker's shareholders to vote *against* the activist group and ensure that current management maintains control of the company.

-Goedeker is viewed as an opportunity to invest in a company led by an industry-leading management team with rapidly gaining market share in a highly profitable market.

NOVEMBER 15TH

RHOM, S2E11, 2012 - ONLY AIRED FOUR DAYS AFTER THE LAST EPISODE

Karent (BOOOOOO!) is having a dinner party, hosted at Thomas Kramer's house (this guy is a douchebag!) and invited all the women. She and her mother arrive early to prep and cook dinner. The other ladies arrive without conflict, and then the rumours begin, with the housewives thinking that she must be sleeping with Thomas in order to be allowed to use his place to host. I always kinda thought Kim slept with him for the house in Miami in the early seasons of Atlanta, and he's remained a creep. Some say even if she isn't sleeping with him, and only hangs out with him and uses him for his status and prestige.

Thomas asks if Romaine is cheating on Joanna, due to their lack of sexual intercourse, and Joanna gets quite upset by this. The attention is soon taken off of her though when the women talk about their issues with Marysol and Thomas tells Ana to shut up and stop bringing drama and to have fun. She refuses and keeps talking, and he rings a bell. He tells her to act like a guest and not an owner, then tells her to have appreciation. He then changes his attention to Lenny and Lisa and makes a joke about him doing breast implants and getting Lisa's chest into her dress. Ana asks if anyone can spell the word "misogynist", and walks out. Most of the ladies follow her, but Joanna and the others stay to fix things up.

Lea defends Thomas, and Elsa tells her to sit down, simmer, and stop talking. Thomas tells Elsa that even though she is "nearing her expiration date", she needs to shut up and that she needs to "act like a lady if [she] wants treatment like one." She leaves and although everyone is like "wtf just happened" they stay with the loser anyways!

RHOA, S8E2, 2015

We meet Kim Fields in this episode, and how things change in one season because we are introduced to her by Kenya. Under the guise of a "collaboration", Kenya meets with KF and they act like best friends that are reconnecting. Kenya says that Hollywood has been good to them - and KF is like... huh? Us? Much kinder to KF than to Kenya, lol.

Lauren, Porsha's sister, announces her pregnancy to her, and Porsha responds with how awkward it is that she's pregnant before her, and blames it for the reason Lauren isn't into Duke, Porsha's new boyfriend of the month. Porsha later throws a party for him, and when he arrives with his friend to cheerleaders and people Duke hasn't even met, his friend calls her

Cynthia, the new focus of the show since Sheree is now a friend of and Nene left after last season, is dealing with infidelity from Peter. He was caught on video with another woman in his club, and he speaks in her ear intimately, and then moves his hands down to her chest. She seems more upset about it playing out on social media than she is about it happening in the first place! He seems sorry, but he definitely was cheating on her more than that, he was just caught that time! Mal asks if Cynthia is even attracted to him anymore, and when Cynthia replies she loves him, she responds it's not the same thing.

Kenya is buying her steep land with a lump of wood on it, that she will turn into Moore Manor. Later, at a party for Cynthia's new eyewear line, Peter comes up to Kenya and starts joking about the video which annoys Kenya, understandably. Mal was there too, and the two of them go over to the other housewives to dish on what just happened, Mal shared how Cynthia doesn't want to have sex with Peter, and everyone reacted like ... keep that to yourself girl!

Sheree walks in and talks about her home as Kenya keeps talking about them now being neighbours. Sheree gets upset because Kenya says "her bitch ass can't move in yet" even though they've been working on Chateau Thelma for years at that point.
