A list of puns related to "Into the Badlands (TV series)"
I suppose I'm asking how much the novels differ from the TV series, and where has the TV series got up to in the novels?

#My original Email:
Hello there,
As a fan of The Expanse, I've always been grateful to you guys for saving that show when SyFy cancelled it after 3 seasons.
Now I'd like to bring to your attention another gem in the mud called "Into The Badlands."
Into the Badlands is a show developed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and premiered on AMC on November 2015. and so far AMC has given it 3 seasons before making the announcement to cancel it (when season 3B finishes on 6th May 2019) on 9th February 2019.
Myself, and other fans are outraged at this decision, and we all unanimously agree AMC's treatment of the show (since it has premiered) has been so unjust, due to the following reasons:
During both on and off seasons, AMC hardly ever promoted the show. During the weekdays, especially compared to their other franchises like "The Walking Dead." or "Fear the Walking Dead." there were no ads/promos regarding Into the Badlands. If the studio itself isn't bothering to put in the effort in the marketing of Into the Badlands, how can they expect to achieve good ratings for the show?
First half of season 3 ended mid-June 2018. Some other shows finished their mid-season finales at that time as well, but other shows began airing their second halves around September 2018. For some unfathomable reason, AMC just kept on delaying and delaying the second half of season 3 before announcing the second half start date (24th March) and the show's cancellation.
Into the Badlands has got many attributes which could be a success for your company if it is marketed the right way (AMC's fatal mistake was barely putting in any effort whatsoever in their marketing) such as the following:
The show's background is a post-apocalyptic world, a setting many people are fascinated with.
The show has fantastic martial arts sequences (which is rare on TV nowadays), designed by the Hong Kong fight team.
Writing is excellent with a good blend of seriousness and humour, and the characters are compelling, with variety of emotions/motivations such as love, hate, friendship, camaraderie, sacrifice, vengeance etc.
The world of Badlands built over the past seasons have been breathtaking and majestic, that it would draw people in.

... keep reading on reddit β‘In February 2016, Oculus (and their parent company Facebook) granted me what was essentially unlimited access to their employees for a book about the founding of Oculus, the magic of VR and the human drama that comes with trying to build the future. Over the course of the next two-plus years, I conducted hundreds of interviews and spoke with key personnel at Oculus as they launched their first consumer product and acclimated to life after a multibillion-dollar acquisition.
As both a journalist and a geek, this was an incredible experience. An exhausting one, no doubt, but so obviously every writerβs dream: a true story, with billions of dollars at stake, starring an unlikely cast of larger-than-life charactersβeach whose quirks and occasional conflicts were made moot by their shared quest for one of technologyβs holy grails. Like I said: every writerβs dreamβ¦but then weird things started happening.
Most notably, the founder of OculusβPalmer Luckeyβwas exiled from his company and eventually fired. Or, actually, that depends on who you ask. Publicly, Facebook vaguely said he βexitedβ; privately, Facebook told employees nothing, and me, well, they filled me up with juicy detailsβ¦many of which turned out to be lies.
Needless to say, this book did NOT turn out how I had expected. But given all of the above, and the increasing role that Facebook plays in our daily lives, Iβm pretty sure that the book I wound up writingβout now!βwill be the most important thing I ever do with my life. ASK ME ANYTHING!

I really love jessica and trish together, but Iβve been seeing comments about their ending and they werenβt positive. I finished s1, do I continue? Their relationship is the biggest thing that I care about, donβt wanna invest in something thatβs gonna bite me.
I donβt mind spoilers, just try not to be super specific about details?
edit: Iβve decided... Im not going to continue, my heart sinks just thinking about them now.
iirc the house is quite large with a main staircase a decent-sized garden. Over the episode, they renovate it, only to find those changes have been there in the past. They choose a wallpaper, and when they tear off the current wallpaper they find beneath it is the exact wallpaper they had chosen. They find a set of concrete steps to put into their yard, but when installing them they find those same steps under the earth of where they planned to put them (or something like that).
I don't remember much of the rest of the plot. I do remember the first murder takes place in the house's garden, probably at night. The murderer took a piece of wire to strangle someone from behind.
The climax of the episode takes place on the main set of stairs at night, as the murderer confronts someone who knows too much (or something like that) at the top of them. The detective then intervenes but I can't really remember how or what happens.
I'm 90% sure this was an episode of a mystery TV show, but a longer episode, probably 48+ minutes. I'm 99% sure this predates 2010, but it's probably even earlier than that.
When Stan Lee passed away on Nov 12, I wanted to commemorate the legend by creating a supercut of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has taken me many months to edit and try to accurately piece together every single movie, tv show and extra content within the past ten years. This supercut of the MCU will be split into ten parts ranging from 3 hours to 10 hours for each piece. But each piece would be divided for normal viewing consumption. All rights are reserved to Marvel Studios, Marvel TV, Netflix, Hulu and any other production that have been an integral part in making these remarkable contents for these many years.
These MCU Stan Lee Tribute Cuts will be breaking down every year based in the timeline of the MCU. It will only follow the perspective of the main character of the show or a major storyline that has significance within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will start from 2006 till 2018 in the MCU Timeline. So Agent Carter will not be making it in this supercut.
Iβd also like to dedicate these cuts to the fallen shows that have been canceled way too soon like Agent Carter, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Punisher. Keep fighting with the powers who are in charge of these shows to bring them back, and I know Stan Lee would want us to do that. Also please support them buy owning these shows and movies. Let Marvel know that these shows wonβt go down in vain.
If you haven't watched any of the movies from Iron Man (2008) to Infinity War (2018) or Agents of Shield (2013) to the newest seasons of Runaways or Punisher (2019) then watch them first before you click on the links below.
This is a tribute project in honour of Stan Lee. If anybody at Marvel would like to speak to me regarding this supercut, Iβd be happy to oblige. If an opportunity arises so be it, but I donβt want to be paid for this project. This is a non-profit tribute project.
I want to give a big shout-out to Samuel Masters. Most of this editing Iβve done is an inspiration from his hard work and dedication from his unofficial MCU TV Series. Click on this link to watch his rendition of his episodic version of the MCU Films. Please support his work and watch his stuff ASAP.
Also, Iβd like to give a special shout-out to Alexander Q. Reading your story on Reddit is an inspiration to all of us, and we are rooting for you all the way as you k

Especially when you have such a sleek and presentable console like the X, I'd like to be able to keep it out without a mess of cables trailing behind it. 1 thing this game does really amazingly is the lore.
If don't like to play games, u can watch walkthroughs of this game there are 2 old games and 3 modern-ish games Fallout 3 ...Fallout New Vegas... Fallout 4
I recommend playing Fallout 4 first as it introduces to the world and it's much more easier for people who don't play a lot of games
But if u want a really good story I recommend 'Fallout New Vegas'.
Currently working on my full length feature into an episodic limited series (6-10 episodes). I've completed a roughish draft of the feature and now have a nearly complete pilot episode.
Should I work on the Bible next? Or should I work on the second episode? Curious as to what others have done and why.
*The reason as to why I'm going from feature to episodic series is because I've found that I was cutting and rushing through pages to complete the storyline in under 120 pages and the entire script from the second act on felt very rushed.
Containing the missions 'Complications', 'Pulling Favors', and 'Father/Son', Episode 2 follows on from last weeks Episode as I continue this 6 part Season.
This ambitious task is incorporating Rockstar Editor created scenes during mission game play, and blending them with in-game cut scenes. If you feel like you might be curious about this project, I'll drop some links below:

After the success of my round-up post on Amazon's Wheel of TimeΒ show last month, I thought it might be worthwhile to do another one bringing everyone up to date on what's going on with Amazon's other huge fantasy epic, The Lord of the Rings: The Second Age.
The Lord of the Rings: The Second AgeΒ - which may not be its final title - is a TV series set in J.R.R. Tolkien's signature fantasy setting of Middle-earth. It is a prequel to The HobbitΒ and The Lord of the RingsΒ and draws on material in Tolkien's other writings, most notably The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales.
The series is being made by Amazon Studios, with New Line Cinema and their parent company Warner Brothers involved as producers.
The show is officially in production. A small amount of shooting was apparently undertaken in November 2019 to hit a development deadline (without which Amazon would have lost the rights). Full production is expected start next month in Auckland, New Zealand and run for two months. This will be followed by a pause as the studio prepares further scripts and material for the second season, after which production is expected to run for at least the rest of the year and likely into 2021, during which time most or all of two seasons will be shot.
According to comments from creative consultant Tom Shippey, Amazon are planning to shoot twenty episodes in total during the initial production bloc, which will likely consist of two ten-episode seasons.
The first season is likely to air in late 2021, with the second season to follow in 2022.
Development
Development of the project began in August 2017 when Christopher Tolkien, J.R.R. Tolkien's son and literary executor since 1973, resigned from the board of the Tolkien Estate. Christopher had long been opposed to authorising any TV or film adaptation of Tolkien's other Middle-earth material; the HobbitΒ and Lord of the RingsΒ movie trilogies were made only because J.R.R. Tolkien had sold the film rights way back in 1969, before his passing. The other members of the Tolkien Estate, including two of Christopher's own sons (one of whom had worked on the Jackson movies) and his younger sister Priscilla (who had advised on Ralph Bakshi's 1978 animated film), were much more open to further collaborations with film-makers. In addition, the Tolkien Estate had several times had to take legal action to recover licence fees not paid properly from the films. With them being more closely involved in a n

So, I'm more or less a relative newcomer to the whole Witcher fandom as I have dabbled a bit with all three of the games (meaning I played bits and pieces of each), read parts of the first Witcher book, and seen the first few episodes of the TV series. I do like the Witcher and the world it presents, and I do legit think the books and the TV series are enjoyable. But with the games, for some reason I'm not exactly into them.
My best guess is that the games are kind of more geared towards people who have read the books and know a lot about the Witcher lore already, as evident by how the games are written to be non-canon sequels with a lot of book characters returning and interacting with Geralt as if he knew them. Because of that, every time a character or an event is being brought up, I feel frustrated because I feel I'm supposed to know who that character is or what that event is, but just don't. Although I guess that helps to relate the player to Geralt who is suffering amnesia in the games anyway.
I also think, at least from watching the show and reading bits of the book, that the Witcher kind of works best as character studies and mystery stories as opposed to adventures. It's definitely more easy to appreciate the Witcher as those with the more linear and passive format of a book or a TV series, but (at least to me) less than ideal for an open world action video game. If the games were more like the Telltale Games or LA Noire in which the focus was more towards dialogue interactions and solving puzzles, I would probably be better invested.
But considering the games are super popular and a lot of people are more aware of the Witcher games then the Witcher books, I can see why others enjoy the games so much. I however personally think Witcher was handled better in book and TV show format. What do you guys think?
So as I am sure like many of you, I have been doing a lot of thinking about all the prospects of things this series could do and have begun to theorize some of the plots and character-types we could see and it dawned on me that maybe some characters from the books that never made into the TV series, could be used as arc-types to make new characters and provide some un-used book plots to help fill in some gaps, while also serving as some fun trivia or easter eggs.
One theory I have relating to Lannisters and Casterlys lead me down the path of a revenge story, similar to that of Catlyin Stark's book plot >!where after the Red Wedding she is found by the Brotherhood without Banners and is resurrected by Thoros, only to come back as a blood-lusted revenge seeking zombie version, known to many as Lady Stoneheart.!< It might be kind of cool to use that idea here somewhere.
Another character that might give us a sense of Tyrion, is if we would follow another Dwarf. In the books Tyrion eventually meets Penny, a mummer., whom book Tyrion has so far treated pretty appallingly. She never makes her debut on the TV series, but she might make for an interesting adventurer if recontexulized for this series.
And lastly, I have mentioned this one before, but I always liked the idea behind Varamyr "Six Skins" being this fierce Wildling character that goes around with his "warg" animal friends, including a polar bear, an Eagle, three Wolves, and a Shadowcat!!! This minor character is pretty nasty costumer though, so I may prefer a watered-down or more nuanced version, (but honestly any character with a pet Shadowcat will do!! :D ) And if they really want to do me a favor, they can combine elements of Varamyre with King Joramun!!
So what about you? Any book characters that you would like to see reworked and put into this one?
Don't even make a big deal that it's from Magic. Just call it Ravnica. A 30 second TV spot where they talk about a sprawling metropolis with various guilds vying for power could really get people interested.
I would actually keep it color coded between the various houses. It's aesthetically pleasing and would help people see at a glance what house they are showing at the time. They could do a lot with the power plays between the houses as well as the backstabbing and intrigue within the houses themselves.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the detail and complete randomness of this series is too much for it to be made into a TV or movie series. The descriptions of some of the events are almost like HP Lovecraft where you can't imagine what it actually looks like so you can only accept the essence of it and where it guides the story. Some people might be deterred by this, but I think it makes it really special. If you want to experience Malazan, you have to buckle down and earn it. I love that so much about these books!
Personally, I'd prefer it if the plot used the original storyline as the foundation of the show or film, but with the director's own take with their own characters (plus appearances of the characters we all know and love). I say this because it all has to do with Gordon Freeman's lack of speech. It worked with the games because it put us right into the game, we were Gordon Freeman. It would be disrespectful to the franchise to directly adapt Gordon's story and ruin it for all of us because in a movie/TV show, we're observing the action as a third party. It would seem weird to see Gordon do something he wouldn't do in-game based off of our decisions as players. Of course he can make an appearanceβmaybe a cameo. What do y'all think?
Iβm personally sitting here ready for a musical episode simply because of what they could do with Negan

I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm just interested in the sub's opinion on this. Which characters will Netflix change the race of in order to be more politically correct? Whether you agree with political correctness or not (I do not), it's definitely an agenda that almost every American media/film studio constantly regurgitates. Some Netflix writers have already been called out for their "f*** all white people" comments in the past, so I'm wondering just how far they're going to go to "diversify" the Witcher universe? What are your thoughts?
Title says it all. It could be from any of the Fallout games. Which Vault would you like to see a TV Show/HBO Series out of and why?
For me, It's Vault 11. Hands down. The story and drama behind a vault, and its inhabitants being forced to sacrifice one of their own every year to save their vault from mass extermination would make for a brilliant show, even if we know how it ends...
What do you all think?
