A list of puns related to "Induction heating"
Just one inner heating ring on my induction range isn't heating. The outer ring and other rings are working just fine. Can someone give me directions on how to troubleshoot it?

I recently got a Sous Vide and am tired of my house reeking of steak, so I'm going to do my searing outside. Initially I was going to get a propane camping stove, but then learned that portable induction burners exist.
The big problem here is that all of the induction burners I've found have tiny (~5") coils which heat cookware extremely unevenly. The Max Burton XL has a larger coil, but per Amazon reviews is a total piece of crap.
I don't want to deal with gas refills and want to do right by the environment. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced induction burner that doesn't have a heating coil for ants?
So I noticed that titanium is able to be heated in an induction heater. Does anyone know why this is possible? Even though its not magnetic.
I've seen some mixed opinions about it on here and other platforms, and I'm interested in hearing what reddit thinks about it
At least with titanium omni....
Hi everyone, does anyone here ever tried the induction heater from French touch vaporizer and if you know if it's normal that is heating only the very tip of my DynaVap resulting in an uneven vaporization. when I insert the Dyna the cap it clicks almost immediately but when I go pull little or almost no vapor comes out. if I hold it a couple of seconds after the click the vapor comes but if I am not careful it begins to combust!! the herbs get way warmer at the tip, the ones at the bottom remain grenish even when the ones at the tip are brown! this can't be right?!

Amazon product: ZOJI Zojirushi NP-HCC18XH Induction Heating System Rice Cooker and Warmer, 1.8 L, Stainless Dark Gray
Customer Reviews:
My whole family loves the rice we make, especially the Jasmine rice. This rice cooker has settings for different kinds of rice. Make sure you watch the Zojirushi video on Youtube on how to wash the rice. It is a six step procedure that really helps the rice turn out better. | My family loves the rice without any salt or anything else in it. They also love it with boy chow or some other veggies mixed in. Also make sure you fluff the rice in the cooker after it is done to get out the moisture. Fluffing it, after cooking is done, helps to release extra moisture (steam) from your rice so that it doesnβt get sticky when you leave it on the WARM feature, or when you serve it. | The induction rice cooker is pricey but worth every penny. It is a great time saver and go to staple for our meals. Itβs great for leftovers the next day. We store it in an air tight Tupperware for the next days meal, or lunch for school.

Hey there,
i built one of these this afternoon, but I have no luck. My wiring is ok, the induction module gets power and the leds light up. But no heating whatsoever. Voltage on the induction heater input is 12.45V and I do have enough amps on my Psu.
when measuring the induction heaters two outer pins (going to the coil) I see no voltage.
EDIT: sorry, I do see 12.45V on each of the outer pins of the coil terminals when engaging the switch. But nothing heats.
When measuring with nothing powered on, I measure around 1.5kOhms between the voltage input terminal. I checked all four diodes and they are correctly soldered. Any ideas?
I have De Buyer Mineral B Pro carbon steel pans Iβd like to use on portable induction; I tested them on several burners (some were cheap units, others not so much) and was disappointed by their performance: uneven heating (the pans were brought to temperature slowly) and a marked hotspot at the coil (which diameter was significantly narrower than the maximum pan size allowed by the manufacturer).
Am I expecting too much from the carbon steel/induction combo or is it just a matter of poor induction performance? If the latter is the case, which burners have larger coil diameter/better heat radius/uniform heating pattern?
P.S.: my pans are 24 cm and 28 cm in diameter.
Hi everyone, does anyone here ever tried the induction heater from French touch vaporizer and know if it's normal that is heating only the very tip of my DynaVap resulting in a uneven vaporisation.
