I was on the hunt for small cappuccino cups for the kitchen, and saw these 6 cups. Thought they were way charming, picked up my 4 favorite, and went home. I looked up the brand since I was curious, saw their value, and went STRAIGHT back to Goodwill to grab the other 2 I had left behind!
I am cheesed, I can't believe I stumbled upon these! They look completely unused, no chips, scratches, or any signs of wear. What makes these sets so valuable / collectable? It's the first time I have ever heard of Illy. Definitely keep an eye out for these, even a single cup and saucer set sells for about $25-$50.
