#392 Ike & Tina Turner- Proud Mary: Best Of Ike & Tina
Let’s start this off by saying Ike Turner is a pos he was one of the true villains in the history of rock music. He will not be getting any praise from me in this review. However, Tina Turner is a goddamn national treasure. I know I have said this before when writing about other female musical artists but it’s true. One of the greatest voices in music, it's so powerful and intense. You believe that she is going through with every song. What a crock of bullshit that she just got voted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame this year. Blasphemy! I was going to try to list my favorite songs here but they all are so great! All 23 tracks on here are great. I could only imagine a young Tina belting out these jams in concert. One Of the gripes of The RS updated list is that there are too many compilation albums. I agree with that sentiment but not in this case. This album totally deserves to be on here just for giving Tina some exposure and maybe people who haven’t heard her amazing voice can check it out. If you never exposed yourself to Tina Turner’s amazing voice this is the perfect album to begin your journey down the Tina Turner rabbit hole.

I just watched “1971” episode 7 on Apple TV+ (100% can recommend this show btw!) and one of the songs showcased is Ike & Tina Turner’s song ‘Feel Good’. I went looking for it on AM, but the song (and the complete 1971 album with the same name) doesn’t seem to be present. I’ve tried all kinds of search queries but no luck. It is even not visible in the list of Ike & Tina Turner albums. Does anybody know why this is, or when I can ask AM?

A cool album where Tina, now on her own, is covering rock classics by the likes of The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and others. Disc is VG+++, sleeve has a store sticker and the top seam has begun to split (VG).
