A list of puns related to "Human Torch"
The idea was to create a hammer, to be used in place of a sword. I had some scrap iron and copper and found some holes in the floor, so I started building pieces of the old (non-existent) fortress, and made holes in the floor next to them. Then I cut through the wall and the hammer was born.
I then promptly forgot about it and built a proper sword out of it.
This was the point where everything went downhill for my little βhumanβ fortress. I had forgotten to bring the water in, and had completely flooded the fortress through the floor, so my βhumanβ militia was completely out of water. They had no idea how to get water anywhere, and couldnβt figure out how to even attack anything. Everything was covered in blood and corpses, and the militia itself was completely ineffective. Eventually, one of the members just collapsed and died. Iβd eventually figured out how to not need them any more, at this point.
Eventually, Iβd finally figured out how to completely ignore them, and my dwarves werenβt attacking them anymore either, at this point. Iβd even adopted a policy of not exiling them, at this point.
Eventually, my fortress was dying a little every time something new happened, and this in turn made things worse. Eventually, Iβd finally figured out how to not even bother repopulate them, at this point.
Eventually, I lost my grip on reality and my dwarves, at this point, by sheer numbers.

Eventually, I lost my grip on reality and the dwarves, at this point, by sheer numbers, again.
Eventually, I lost them, at this point, by sheer numbers, again.

Hello all. I was thinking about this after seeing a couple YouTube videos that talk about this, and talking about it with someone in this sub. I think some people are falsely under the impression that The Human Torch was some kind of mentor figure to Peter Parker, rather than what he really is- his best friend.
The biggest example I see thrown around in support of this is issue 3 of Amazing Spider-Man; where the human torch visits his high school campus and gives a speech that inspires Peter to face his fears, and go back and defeat Doc Ock (the issue is Doc Ockβs first appearance, and Ock easily tossed Peter aside in their first encounter- making Peter feel insecure and slightly fearful towards the notion of facing him again.) But thatβs exactly what it was. Peter was inspired by someone who is in a very similar circumstance in life as him- (a super powered teenager)- who was able to think optimistically, and positively. This is not an idolization of the human torch, itβs not Peter being taken under his wing- itβs simply nothing more than some being inspired by an acquaintance in the same age.
Iβve also heard βPeter idolized Johnny Storm and that is clear from Peterβs jealousy of him.β This is also not a good point. Johnny Storm has also been equally jealous of Spider-Man in the exact same early years- read Strange Tales Annual #2. Johnny Storm is jealous of Peter getting media attention, because he is a hot-headed teen. Just as much as Peter is jealous of Johnny Storm, because he Johnny has everything Peter believes he deserves or needs, but doesnβt have- as Peter is a hot-headed teen.
And Johnny Storm does not overshadow Uncle Ben by any means in the early comic books. As far as being mentor or what he means to Peter. Because no other superhero is to Peter, what ben is- whether you only, exclusively look at the first 30 something issues, or not. But the Human Torch is one of Peterβs Best Friends.
Just wanted to clear this up, and I will put a link in the comments to an article Marvel.com wrote on their friendship. Stay blessed.

Some books I'd be willing to work out a trade for:
All items shipped via USPS, packed extremely well in a box (no bubble mailers!) Everything listed above would be shipped fully insured, paid for by me. if you want to ship USPS Priority or something else, I can do that but shipping will not be free. Continental US only. Thanks!
Like...does his body prevent him of feeling cold period? that sounds a bit sad tbh
Trying to find an oldish comic book I used to love reading when I was a kid. It featured the human torch delivering a speech at Peter Parker's assembly, saying something along the lines of "never say die, never say never, and never give up". I remember that at the end of the story, spiderman crashes another assembly the human torch is at, and says the same lines. It's kind of similar to the panel in Amazing Spider Man #3, but newer (90's or newer)

Could Human Torch be the most powerful superheroes ever to exist in Marvel Comics, as of now?
-Literally melted off statue of Liberty without even trying
-Can dive to the ocean without flaming off
-No longer requires oxygen to flame off
-Power by cosmic power
-More
Johnny Storm is perfectly adapted to handling his pyrokinetic powers, and I'm sure his body gives off signs of being... more than human. But would symbiotes -- who have a known aversion to fire and sound -- be wary of bonding to him, like some sort of natural danger sense? Or would they only find out the hard way?
Any strategy posts yet? If so can you just add a link or we can discuss it here
I feel like βThe Human Torchβ is a pretty long name. Since he has fire powers, he should have had a name like βHotshotβ, or βHotheadβ, or βTorch Manβ instead.
But I personally believe that βHotshotβ would fit the most for Johnnyβs personality.
Not to discredit his creators though, they did a good job making a cool character.
Who should I combine with the human torch? Also, separate poll, but booster gold? Blue beetle (Kord) is mixed with Iron Man.
