A list of puns related to "Heilung"
Hello fellow vikings! I've recently started listening to a group called Heilung that one of my friends told me about while playing and I'm urging all of you to try it at least once! Definitely changes the whole vibe of the game!
Hi everyone. I notices recently that the rune song titles that Heilung puts at the beginning of their LIFA videos seems to be in Younger Futhark rather than Elder. Can anyone confirm? I am making sure that In Maidjan is the Elder Futhark yet in LIFA it is transcribed as Younger, which confuses me a bit since I want to tattoo something related to In Maidjan.
Cheers and skΓ₯l :)

As I anticipated some time ago in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Heilung/comments/q9n3tu/what_does_hamrer_hippyer_mean/hhjst0a/?context=3 , I told you guys I would have shared my research on Heilung's Futha, so I basically translated the whole thesis from Italian to English. Please note I didn't feel like translating by myself for it's a tedious process, so I just copypasted the text in google translate. Forgive any misspell.
Feel free to share it with anyone, comment and ask questions, since a lot of footnotes went lost in the translation idk why. Sending love to all the community, cheers.
I'm currently sick and I've been using the lyrics from Hamrer Hippyer as a way to ask the gods for healing. Just wanted to know if anyone else does this as well. I've been wanting to learn old norse so I can make my own prayers but Heilung is my guidance for now until I can properly begin to learn.
Gonna do a beer crawl tonight. If you are interested we already started but if you wanna join meet us at the "our mutual friend brewing" at 4pm (2810 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205).
Edit. Thanks for everyone who made it out. There ended up being 15ish of us. It was great to meet everyone and tell good stories. Cheers

>Conjuring the primal wildness of the Viking era and Northern European Bronze Age, the trio blends the cinematic clang of human bones, reconstructed swords and frame drums with brooding lyrics borrowed and re-contextualized from rune stones, amulets and other ancient artifacts. Over Juul's percussive soundscapes, Faust bellows like a Tibetan monk raised on death metal β a darkness balanced out by Franz's soothing coo, which draws on her years of studying traditional Norwegian techniques. The end product is "amplified history" β a genre of their own design. - Ryan Reed, Revolver
Coachella likes to book unique artists and this is about as unique as it gets. With a collective hailing from Denmark, Norway and Germany, they've gained a worldwide following known for their live concerts (or "rituals" as they call them). They haven't toured the US much (most recently Red Rocks last month) so Coachella grabbing them would be a rare sight, hopefully playing at night in one of the tents to fit the ethos of their performances. With The HU originally booked for 2020, Heilung would bring a similar folk metal vibe to the polo fields but with a more impressive and trance-like show.
Note: The live performances linked below are from their first live show ever, with some members having never rehearsed with the group before.

So I got around to posting Red Rocks videos I took on youtube. I put in the descriptions that my phone just started acting up that night with a wavering/shaking problem that is apparently an issue with some of the older iphones...sorry about that- guess it's time to upgrade... kinda annoying, but it's should at least be good enough to get some clips/songs until they release the whole show video. There's a band called Heilung and their music invokes that pre-historic pagan/ Germanic tribe feel. Wondering if there's any movies that have that same vibe.
I honestly cant even describe what that was, it was like an out of body experience. I was sitting fairly close to the front and was basically in a trance the entire time.
The crowd was so great, theres not many places I can paint up my face, draw cletic knots on my arms and wear traditional celtic garb without being glared at let alone have people people compliment me and be even more done up than me. There were some wild outfits tonight.
Also, I dont know if heilung members get on here and read this sort of stuff, but having grown up very close to 2 large reservations and having tons of friends that are native, to have them bring out a local tribe to bless the land before hand completely took me back. Honestly kind of teared up, I would have never thought to do that.
Finally, the sound cutting thing, honestly, they were so smooth about it me and a friend thought it was intentional, and yet again the crowd kept it going, so i honestly didnt mind it. That final song had me and everyone around me dancing and singing to it.
What a great show and really hope they tour more here in the US.
Here's a question: Does the group Heilung fit into the Industrial scene?
My opinion? Yes. Their sound seems to fit into a corner of Industrial. Thought I'd share a link to a file with their sound and performance.
One of their most popular YouTube file uploads. Heilung | LIFA - Krigsgaldr LIVE - YouTube
Can anyone tell me where I can buy resale tix for their performance on June 23rd 2022 in France? It's a reschedule from 2020/2021 tour dates.
I previously posted asking for mods to spruce the visuals of the place up. There were a number of months prior to that post where subscriptions were mostly static despite the band remaining (relatively) active and I was hopeful that a more interesting visual style would attract users to the subreddit and grow the online fan base of the band. I personally browse in "old" and "compact" mode, so I don't see the subreddit styles, but I was under the (apparently mistaken) impression that other users liked that stuff.
But only three people commented on the post and none of them wanted the appearance of the subreddit changed. So it will stay as it is for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the feedback.
