For those invested in HMS "Abigus's" (Mk2) story, I'm proud to announce that the large man himself just took down the last Gerati missile carrier, and has thus claimed victory in the war of Khiva. Yes, I did have to add around 600k bonus to get this thing into campaign, but it was 100% worth it.

What is the origin of the HMS Victory model from Elementary My Dear Data?
Was it a model kit they used, or did the props department build it from scratch? I know it ended up in Gene Roddenberry's office, but I don't know what happened to it after Majel Barret's death.

AITA for sending my stepsons to their father after they broke my HMS Victory ship model?
A couple years back my best mate introduced me to ship modelling and impossible bottling which has become my hobby. Love ships and love challenges. Built a couple shoddy ones but during lockdown last year I collaborated with this mate to build a fully rigged model of the HMS Victory accompanied with it's ship in a bottle. Took countless hours and quite a bit of money to get the detailing right but in the end it was amazing. Best ship made I've made by far thanks to my mate and I had it on display on a table in my home office. Obviously it meant a lot to me because of the effort but also because my mate unfortunately passed early this year and this was our joint project. So, it was my wife's birthday on Monday and my stepsons were supposed to just spend the night but we were all enjoying ourselves and extended their stay til Sunday. Yesterday they asked if they could chill in my office because the wifi is fastest there. Had no problem, they've done it before and they know the rules around touching any of the models.
Long story short, the HMS Victory model didn't survive their chill session and 'fell'. They gave quite a story of what happened which didn't really make sense and pretty sure they were just mucking around but it doesn't really matter because it's still broken. It's safe to say that I was livid and very emotional about it. I could barely look at them tbh. I asked them to pack their stuff and called their father who understood and came quickly. Now as angry as I was, I knew that they felt bad about it but I still needed space to deal with it which I explained to them when they left. Made it very clear that we were still good but that I needed time to myself. And I'm glad I did take that time because now it's basically water off a duck's back. I'm much calmer and only pissed about finding time to rebuild but still looking forward to the project. My wife though is extremely mad at me and has given me the silent treatment since yesterday for sending her kids away without even talking to her over a model. Apparently I've now made them feel unwelcomed. I'm still more than open to them coming home and even in my office and don't mind re-explaining this. Just learnt to put it in a locked case or something. Aita?
Edit: forgot to add that they're 17 and 14
