A list of puns related to "Grey's Anatomy (season 14)"
After watching some episodes on S14, I realized it can end the series right there. Almost all characters could've their arc ended right on that season.
But they decided to stretch it till now.
I don't know, but something is telling me Owen is thinking of committing suicide.
Surgical interns and their supervisors embark on a medical journey where they become part of heart-wrenching stories and make life-changing decisions in order to become the finest doctors. This is a 16 Season journey where you will see more than a decade worth of adventures of doctors who you will see Start as simple Interns and will not stop until becoming the finest of the finest doctors.
Preface: This isn't objective by any means. I am very, very biased. This is for discussion starting purposes, and just to see what other people think of my ranking!
Also, short of Isaiah Washington, I am so grateful for all the actors who have played these characters and left their mark on me forever. Hashtag I Hate Owen Hunt but I Love Kevin McKidd.
Ok! Let's get started!
I am the World's Biggest Lexie Stan. This is a title I will fight for. When I was in seventh grade, I forced myself to eat peanut butter cups every single time I went to 7-Eleven because I wasn't content just being the number one Lex-A-Holic in the entire world, I wanted to Be Her. When I go to the dentist, I still ask for the orange toothbrush because we see in one (1) scene that Lexie Grey used an orange toothbrush. My closet is entirely red, purple, grey, and brown. I own far too many cardigans and while I definitely do not have an ass that makes me stand in a changing room and feel like I am the hottest person to ever put on a pair of pants, I own a lot of jeans that look like they're straight out of 2009. These are my claims to Grey's fame. Do not contest me because I have several more and I will win. (Okay, I'm sure out of the nearly 8 billion people who live on earth I am not the biggest Lexie stan. But I do like to think I'm in the top 100 or something).
Mark Everett Sloan. I can't believe that he's The Only Man to ever exist. (Saw somewhere that he's the fan-favorite character. Glad to see we're all right).
The woman, the myth, the legend. She's just too cool for school. Bonus points for playing a big role in my discovering my sexuality.
A classic. He's probably the second most important character on the show. Maybe even the first. He's flawed, but he's kind. He deserves a top spot, and so I'm giving him one.
I met her in the summer, she was cutting up a very dead body. I say this because she breathes the life back into ME. The writers couldn't even try to make us hate her. She's just that good.
I tried not to ignore his character assassination for this post, but I just had to. He rocks. He really does. He objectively rocks. I like that post that says, "Things that get better with age: Whiskey. Cheese. Wine. Alex Karev." Because we all know it's true.
Ignoring the fact that they blatantly used a brain tumour to fix her
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm watching the show for the first time on Netflix and I was astonished by the number of patient deaths. According to google, the death rate is over 35%. This is nearly four times the irl death rate of the average hospital. Google also tells me this place has bombings, mass shootings, and doctors that drop like flies. When the doctors arenβt dying, theyβre fucking each other in any available janitorβs closet. Side note, I really feel sorry for the janitor. Imagine trying to kick back after a long work day only for your personal space to smell like sweat, fish, and semen.
The audience is told this is the best hospital in the state of Washington but I find it hard to believe that it would make the top ten in a third world country.
Thereβs one guy named George that severs a major artery during a routine appendectomy and is just a shitty doctor in general but I think Iβm meant to root for him because heβs funny and nice. Loooool. The man is a walking medical malpractice lawsuit.
You know how every city has that one hospital everyone avoids or has some crazy story about? IRL, Greyβs anatomy would be that hospital. βYeah, my Aunt bleed out while her surgeon was hitting the new intern doggystyle.β
I have a Grey's playlist that I built through my first watch of seasons 1-16. Any songs that anyone wants to add or is a staple to theirs? Here's mine:
There's A Reason Chasing Cars isn't on here. It makes me want to die inside.
Ok so, like everyone else, because of covid I have been watching and rewatching basically any movie or TV series ever released. I had never watched Grey's Anatomy before... there's 15 series at 25 episodes each which is a massive commitment...
However! Yesterday i watched Season 14, Episode 10 "Personal Jesus" and without disclosing any spoilers (because i genuinely think the whole show deserves a watch if you can) at exactly 13 minutes in, one of the characters talks succinctly about the emotional abuse she experienced in her relationship and, it is _perfect_.
The gaslighting and manipulation, how he called her crazy so many times she questioned her reality and her experience. The blame. The guilt. The eventual depression. The eventual slide into controlling intimidating behaviour and physical abuse. Being encouraged to cut off friends that he didn't like. How he called all his exes crazy, and most importantly, how it WAS good in the beginning.
She described it all so accurately, it was so incredibly validating, as sometimes it's hard to think in a straight line about what actually happened and why. I urge anyone who's struggled with unpacking the mess of an abusive relationship to watch. (Also, it's free on Amazon Prime)
If this helps even one person, the +400 hours (!) of Grey's Anatomy I've watched just for this two minute clip will not have been (entirely) wasted! Ha! Happy New Year x
After years of putting off I finally started it about a month ago . Iβm finally on season 14 and I canβt help but to notice Joβs acting is horrible (unpopular opinion maybe).
I also love how the show progresses along with the real world such as phones, style, and even sayings like βghostingβ and not to mention tinder
Enjoying the show so far and I donβt know if should stop now.
Things I see daily in the sub:
Let's make this page fun again! It's a beautiful day to save this sub!
Older - Greyβs was based around friendship and core characters. First of all, MAGIC created friendships with each other that lead to drama that was interesting to watch. We had crazy Season Finales like the shooter or plane crash! We had couples we actually invested in (looking at you Jaggie and Mapril). However, season 7 flopped to me. Also, I find that multiple characters early in the show are written to be hated like Mark and Derek but in reality theyβre supposed to be nice. Now we have characters that are bad or good. No in-between.
Newer - DRAMA. Each episode has a different plot (ugh) which involves different storylines. They focus so much on the drama and Jolex that we donβt have much time to see real medical cases. The cast is so big that they got rid of 2 LOVED cast members that have been on the show since seasons 5/6. Theyβre continuing to bring back other characters (Teddy, Megan, Nurse Olivia) which doesnβt make much sense OTHER than Teddy. And it sucks because cast members like Maggie and Amelia struggle to get time in the show because there is so many stories at once. Also, I CANT REMEMBER the last time I saw Amelia in the OR! However, I will admit most of the patient cases are interesting and the cast does have chemistry.
Over all, you can tell I prefer old Greyβs. However, I did enjoy season 14!
