A list of puns related to "Grappling hook"
Here's a little trivia question that I would love to hear the answers everyone has. Which game that has a grappling hook mechanic did it best, in your opinion?
Here's a few of my favourites:
EDIT: THIS IS FOR AN ESCAPE EDIT 2: Whoever sent mental health resources anonymously just know i am perfectly okay
As a Titanfall 2 fan, this is it.
Curious if any of you prefer to not use it sometimes. It certainly makes travel easier and less risky but do you ever unequip it and return to pre-rank 25 days where you had to make do by parkouring around? Makes exciting moments feel more risky and rewarding instead of just Spiderman webslinging out of trouble
And, where can I get a grappling hook?

Beside rocket league, which I never play, no other game had me rage quit so many times! Lol it could be my natural born ability to get lost within 3 bushes and this game involves so much map reading and orientingβ¦. Iβm progressing soooo slowly. Still got me hooked though. Gotta admit without looking it up I would have never found the elevator as I walked into that cave and walked right out thinking itβs a dead end. Ok back to the grind, just wanted to vent about my defeat by the map. PS. This sub should have a vent/rant flare lol
Or at least make it an optional thing, please. I've died countless times on higher difficulties just because that "Too Far" text takes too much time that I could have used to aim again instead.
So my players fought a group of warforged and my rogue said he wanted to scavenge some parts from the warforged bodies. He said he wanted to get 30 lbs of stuff(idk why it is so specific). The player is a lvl 3 kobald rogue with tinkerer tools and said he wants to build a grappling hook that shoots out and retracts. That also attaches to his arms. I feel like I shouldn't let him do it, because it can mess with balancing the game. What do you all think I should do?
Edit: Thank you everyone for the great ideas. I know what I am going to do with it now. Ill let him have it, but not make it too easy to make.
I think I saw someone do this in a video, they managed to use their pickaxe while hanging from the grappling hook. When I try to do it I end up falling instantly.
Seriously, it could've gone horribly wrong. Could've been like it doesn't grapple to some surfaces and whatnot. But thankfully, it works well, in most cases. Never been an issue for frustration for fans.
(I hope this post is not considered toxic. Although, it does highlight the fact that how broken everything else is.)
What the title said. Personally I'd rather it be something different. I was replaying Halo 2 and I'd forgotten how much Arbiter's active camo just naturally changed the way I approached levels. It made me feel like I was actually switching to a unique character despite the actual traversal and gunplay being the same as Master Chief.
The other thing to consider is that I don't know why he would have a grappling hook. It seems like a Spartan thing. I'm sure they could explain it if they wanted, but I just think it would be better to separate him mechanically somewhat. I don't know what I'd want him to use, but I figure someone has some ideas lol
I'm terrible at tying knots with tiny strings, so suffice it to say that I can't tie the string to the gun in the 72588 AT-AT. Does anyone know a good way to do this, or know another way to make a good grappling hook for luke? Or do I get lucky and have an extra blaster for other figs lol
