Goodbye & Good Riddance Puns

Sorry for stating the obvious but I had to say it. For some reason I haven’t listened to that whole album from track 1 to 17. I did just a couple of days ago and haven’t done anything else since. It’s so good. I saw a list of someone’s top five songs by Juice WRLD and they had Used To as they’re favorite song. At the time I thought they did that just to be special, but now I understand, because now it’s my favorite song as well.

It's been one year since Juice Wrld released his debut studio album - what are your thoughts on it?

First, we'll start with the quantity of each album. Now, I'm going off of the original GB&GR project, not the one with Wasted and Armed & Dangerous. Goodbye & Good Riddance is a total of 15 tracks (12 songs/3 skits). Death Race For Love is 22 songs. There's the first red flag...way too long of a project, and I'm sure it was the label who pushed for 20+ songs--maybe for streams-- but all it did in the end was water down the project a little bit as a whole and hurt it's quality.

Storyline: Goodbye & Good Riddance tells a consistent story of heartbreak/drug use/fighting addiction and relationship struggles--especially with the 3 skits complimenting each bunch of songs, it gives us fans a little inside of how he was heartbroken by his ex...and don't get me wrong, Death Race For Love had a good story too..a similar one... but it wasn't as direct as GB&GR. It went out of topic a few times and some songs didn't speak as to the heart as well as some on G&GR did. It didn't hit the same way. GB&GR did it's 15 tracks and stayed consistent. Having a shorter amount of songs also helps it stay more consistent and keep high quality and not get repetitive in a way.

What I will give Death Race For Love over Goodbye & Good Riddance is versatility. We saw growth on his sophomore effort. Songs like Big, Syphilis, 10 Feet, She's The One, Ring Ring, and Out My Way all were sort of out of his comfort zone from his original sound...And he did a great job of showing another side as an artist. I loved seeing different tracks from him and seeing him try out new sounds. Although it definitely showed more versatility and growth as an artist, the story didn't hit as hard or add up the same as GB&GR did. And again, it was probably because of it being 22 tracks--that's what made it interfere with what the message was trying to say. Some tracks are just wayyy off topic and kind of throws the mood off. I think DRFL had a few filler tracks that probably could have been either replaced or just left off to make it a shorter project.

ALL IN ALL, both were amazing projects by the legend himself, and we all should be grateful we got a chance to be a part of his time here and what he gave us during his life. Death Race For Love is definitely underrated as hell..it got too much hate imo...but it's REALLY hard to top Goodbye & Good Riddance...it's just something about that album bro it's just the best.

I’ve been hurting just missing her more and more feeling lonelier seeing my family spending time with their S/O’s and going out with friends during Quarantine. I broke up with her a few months before WA state quarantine started.

I would love songs and albums like Goodbye & Good Riddance, July by Noah Cyrus, What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts, you get the jist. I just want to cry to the most emotional, lyrically painful music I can to make me bawl and relieve myself of missing her for the time.
