I have always had a thing for these kind of over the top movies that don't take themselves too seriously and thought I'd like to get more into that kind of stuff, but where to start? Classic Exploitation films? I haven't really seen a lot of those. I think what especially drew me in with the Evil Dead movies (at least the first two) was how raw and, well, self-made they felt.
If you haven't seen this classic horror movie yet, today is a great excuse to change that. If you have, maybe watch it again. One of my all time favorite. High energy with fun music and writing.

Currently rewatching From Dusk Till Dawn for the first time in maybe 10 years and oh the nostalgia. This was the first Quentin Tarantino movie I ever watched as a kid and anything with vampires in I highly appreciated (thanks Buffy) I just love how the first half of the movie is a gangster type of film two brothers on the run, store shootouts, taking hostages etc. and the other half of the movie is completely different with vampires wreaking havoc in this big bar it’s genius. I’m very stoned writing this and 4 joints in but I’m so amazed by the movie I have thousands of thoughts right now but can’t be bothered typing them all out lmao. Juliette Lewis? Amazing. That 90s feel? Got it. Seth’s neck tattoo? Amazing. Quentin Tarantino? He’s just amazing and so talented and gifted. Sex Machine and Frost? Love them. Titty twister club? Love everything about it. The list goes on! And yes the one you’ve probably been thinking why hasn’t he mentioned it yet - THAT SALMA HAYAK DANCE SCENE MY GOD!!!!!! What a beautiful woman and she nailed that whole dance scene, fucking perfect she was. That one scene alone is one for the movie history books hands down, you’d swear I was one of the bikers in the crowd picking my jaw up off the floor. That choir/church background music when the vampires first start letting loose on all of the bikers used to shit me up as a kid. Will be introducing this masterpiece to the boys this week and hopefully open them to the Tarantino world. Would love to know peoples thoughts on this movie in the comments!
What do you think of the movies and the tv series? I love the first film and I liked the 3rd film the Hangmans Daughter which is surprisingly good. I didnt care for the 2nd film too much. The series is good too. Obviously Salma Hayek cannot be topped as Santanico Pandemonium but Eiza Gonzales was good in the role too.
I was never bright but very persistent. When my folks suggested I apply to college, I knew it would be a waste of time and nerves. I got in but what do I do now? The loads are unbearable! When it comes to homework, sometimes, I swear, I want to burst into tears and just disappear from this planet. Who decided that students should go through so many obstacles to learn something and get a degree that proves their knowledge. I mean… please I just want to get homework answers and get the thing over with. My mates help me sometimes but they themselves have to get college homework help on occasion.
So whose here been through the same? I just need a sign to undestand we am I heading. Is it worth trying? Will it get easier with time? Now it only gets worse and I don’t want to be a college dropout but it is better than a few more years of never-ending torture. And most of my mates don’t struggle as much as I do. They do several assignments overnight. I need at least a week to get ONE thing done. I tried memory exercises and I am eating well, so PLEASE only real-life experiences - no tips and tricks. I know they won’t help me anyway. It might look like a cry for help - and it is one.
