Since this game aired at midnight eastern time on a network most don’t have, I figured I’d provide the fan perspective.
I’ve gotta say this is now my favorite all star game, and I hope it gets moved to the main network and maybe gets a time slot bump up. They really emphasize the Polynesian and Hawaiian connections with this game. An all- Polynesian broadcast crew, coaches from the best high schools in Hawaii, and their HoF class included 4 NFL studs. 50 Polynesian players participated, including 11 of the top 14 from the islands, and it made the game so much more competitive then either the army or UA game.
The superstars were absolutely out for this one too, Tua and AJ Epinesa were honorary captains. JuJu was hovering around as the adidas rep for the game as well.
Steve Spurrier vs Frank Beamer was electric. Spurrier rotated all 3 QBs every single snap, while Beamer got flagged for trying to run prevent defense the last play of the half when their only allowed to be in man or cover 3. We got reverses, field position battles, and short yardage FGs.
Player notes- 47 4 & 5 star players participated, 36 of the 97 total were committed to Pac-12 schools.
Deman Demas has freakish talent and it’s a shame he didn’t get to have senior film. Had a deep ball TD called back on a hold.
DJ, as noted in every scouting report ever, absolutely has a freaking cannon and is more mobile then you’d think given his size.
LV Buckley-Shelton is an easy candidate for the yearly ‘mid 4 star receiver who has a freshman All-American szn.
Justin Flowe is going to be giving elite interviews for the next decade. He eats charisma-o’s for breakfast.
BYU QB commit Sol-Jay Maiava absolutely balled out and was the most productive QB. He got the go ahead TD with 1:48 left by beating two 4 star LBs to the pylon. Won offensive MVP.
Bijan Robinson is going to break a LOT of tackles in the Big 12.

In conclusion, there were so many missed opportunities for great memes and what could’ve been an absolutely electric thread. Adidas needs to figure out a way to promote this game because the content and play was amazing.

The teams he's beaten the most are UVA (19-9), BC (16-8) and Miami (13-12). The teams he's lost to the most are Miami (13-12), FSU (2-9) and UVA (19-9).
Some additional info that might be helpful for context:
There are three distinct phases in his career. His first 6 years at VT he was 23-40-2. He then went 190-58 over the next 19 years before going 27-22 so far in his final 4 years.
VT was in the wasteland of 1-A Independent for his first 6 years (though apparently had some kind of partial membership in the BE the last two), members of the Big East for the next 11, and members of the ACC for the last 12.
