Hey, been a fan of TMV for over a decade now, but new to the subreddit. Recently I've revisited Frances the Mute on loop. I've been trying to download a version of the album I found on here (http://albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-mars-volta-frances-mute-2cd.html) but it seems the links are dead.
Does anyone else have a copy of these files, or a source for a different vinyl rip? I really want to hear it with greater dynamic range, without dropping 200+ on a vinyl copy.
Has anyone got a good Frances the Mute wallpaper that’s good for iPhones? Thanks in advance
People say 'Frances the Mute' should be the first track on the album if it was actually released on the album. I don't disagree with that, but if it was included, would the arrangement of the track have been different? Like, 'Cassandra Gemini' plays into 'Vismund Cygnus' but it doesn't play into 'Frances the Mute.' However, 'Frances the Mute' also plays into 'Vismund Cygnus' too. D
If included, do you think the song would have sounded the same as it does now? Or do you think the intro/outro of the song would have been altered to flow better with the album?

Hey all, I'm just getting into TMV and I'm really digging them! However, I saw that the song titled 'Frances the Mute' wasn't included on the CD by the same name, so I was gonna playlist it up! But then I noticed that many of the songs (title wise) don't match up between Spotify and what Wikipedia says the track order should be. This is further complicated by the fact it looks like the vinyl edition is ordered differently than the CD as well as some of the tracks being 'untitled' or having parts broken up. Sooo, I was wondering if there is a definitive track listing anywhere? Or is there one that the fans prefer (like the one for Tool - Lateralus)? Or is the Spotify the closest one out there? Any help would be much appreciated!

Last week in my English class I wrote an essay about how my life is similar to Frances the Mute, in this essay I wrote about the story of Frances the Mute and how his addiction led to the destruction of his life. My life has a similar story, until a month ago I was a heavy drinker and as a result I hurt my family and friends, I only stopped after a close brush with death. I wrote about how in Frances the Mute, Cygnus Vismund knew what drugs did to people yet he chose to submit to drug use and as a result he killed his family and then himself. The way I compared my life to this though was by saying I knew what alcohol was because my parents used to drink when I was young, this is true, my parents dod drink and my step father had to go to rehab for his problem. My teachers took it as my parents heavily drink in front of me and they are not fit to be parents. They held a meeting without asking for clarity or asking any questions. I’m just a high school junior that is a massive Mars Volta fan, had a drinking problem, and as you can tell I’m not the best writer either. This whole situation is my fault though, instead of talking about how I’m getting help, I should have wrote about how my parents got help and they became better people because of the help. I got a lecture from my mother saying how I caused all of this and that I’m the reason we don’t get along. So tonight when I cry myself to sleep I’m going to listen to the greatest band ever (The Mars Volta) and try to pull myself together like the band once did.
I just spent about 15 minutes cutting and piecing together the song "Frances the Mute" to go along with "Cygnus...." and I also pieced all of "Cassandra Gemini" together so it's one file. So I was just curious if anyone else has done? It's kind of nice having it like this, so now there are 6 tracks to the album, since the song "Frances the Mute" was originally supposed to be on there. And I assume it was meant to be the first track because of "Sarcophogi" being the last bit.
I'm a huge fan of TMV and Frances is my favorite album by them. But I still find it a very hard record to analyze. I wanted to hear it from other people's perspectives.
I often just full mute everyone if i notice that people tilt and get toxic so i dont tilt myself, because i tilt off others chatting toxic stuff very fast.
Why the fuck are they not muted in the after game lobby ? Why do i have to see what they type and get giga tilted for no reason ? I don't get it.
I just see everyone running the shotgun with the smg11, is that just universally better or are there times where the MP5 is a better choice?

That's why canonically, the Guardians we control: never lost/die doing Raids, nightfall strikes, etc even of they die in the darkness zone.
Because our Guardians are directly controlled by paracausal beings that lives in another dimensional reality altogether.
We can wipe away all "realities" in Destiny universe where our Guardian dies.

Long story short, my main was manually permanently muted in what I'm 99% certain was a spam wave within Mod Marks clan chat, on the 10th of December, 2015, which is quickly approaching 4 years ago. It wasn't until several weeks after the fact that I discovered that the account was punished with the mute. At the time of the mute, I didn't play nearly enough to notice it early on. I attempted to appeal the offense, but it was struck down with an automated message within a few hours after I sent it.
Since then, I've attempted to get the attention of Jagex Support both through Twitter and by email with no success. This is essentially my final resort / attempt at getting some justice for my perm. mute; twisting an arm on reddit in hopes I get a moderators assistance.
My account is an incredibly valuable possession of mine, and given the time and money I've put into this game, I feel it's only fair to have to origins of my punishment looked into, even if it's just given a quick, scanning glance.

I get it, changing every sound of every skill so that everybody is happy is a difficult task. So let us decide waht we want to hear. I sear to god, I have my sound effects at 5%, loot filter at 100%, master volume at 30% and leap slam still overwhelms the music... wth
This stops people hearing you twice. Obviously works for every other game too.
