A list of puns related to "Forward osmosis"
Iβm sure Iβm not the only person in this thread that is anxiously awaiting the final infrastructure bill. The latest developments is validatorβs and miners of proof of work systems would be excluded. Obviously with cosmos Atom and osmosis being proof of stake this will require 1099 forms. Iβm curious to get everyone elseβs opinion how do you feel this new infrastructure bill, or as I like to call it regulation, will affect cosmos atom and osmosis moving forward?

AMA about Forward osmosis and green desalination!
The water was glorious. The feed to the break room went through a 5 stage ro and softener. I would drink easily a gallon in my 9 hour shift.
But now we have a horrific generic fridge style filter, no reverse osmosis. I live in a desert state and our water is hard, mineral heavy, and bland. My consumption fell so low, 40 oz a shift.
What water pitcher rand's do you recommend for taste? I've had Brita and Pur in the past, and it didn't really effect the taste of it.
Heard great things about ZeroWater.
Hows it going everyone.
I am currently working on a research proposal for this summer and I am interested in using collagen crosslinked with another material as a membrane for a forward osmosis process. I want to move forward from there trying to reduce the necessary pressure level to maybe a hand pump or even atmospheric pressure alone. I hope to remove bacteria & sediments (done easily by collagen dispersions alone) as well as salts which is currently done via forward osmosis.
I've seen a few articles on graphene as part of this type of system.
Does anyone have experience with graphene or crosslinking collagen that may be able to offer some advice on where to start? Would graphene possibly be added as the crosslinking material?

Weβre back, baby! TWAB is alive and well and weβre excited for whatβs next with the upcoming launch of The Witch Queen. Just one more month to go before we learn more about SavathΓ»nβs influence and what that means for Guardians and our beloved Osiris, in addition to some nifty additions to gameplay such as crafting and pokey-pokey Glaive goodness. While we do want to share some news with our players, we also want to keep some secrets because there are a few unique surprises on the way that we want you to experience for yourselves.
Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the latest trailer for The Witch Queen that showcased SavathΓ»nβs Throne World? Because I donβt know about you, but Iβm still screaming in excitement and the entire team here at Bungie canβt wait to see your reactions to whatβs next. Itβs going to be a wild ride, so buckle that metaphorical seatbelt, friends.
Before you dive into the latest trailer below, we did want to offer a small warning to players: spoilers are coming. Be aware that the weeks leading up to the launch of The Witch Queen will include information that those averse to spoilers might want to avoid. Just be careful out there, Guardians!
##Artifact Mods Update: Insert Orbs Meme Here
Artifact mods have been a huge talking point in our community and with the next Season, weβre making a few changes that will bring back some popular anti-Champion mods while also making some tweaks to the way Masterwork armor works. Here is a rundown from the team on what players can look forward to in Season 16:
> >Team: One of the consistent pieces of feedback that we have been wanting to act on for a while involves the unlocking of Artifact mods. Starting in Season 16, players will no longer be limited to the number of Artifact mods they can unlock. This means that players could feasibly unlock all 25 Artifact mods by the end of the Season! While we have made some small adjustments to the amount of XP required to unlock Artifact mods 1-12, in general, the pace of unlocking these first twelve Artifact mods should be close to what weβve seen in Season 15βs Artifact. For each unlock after the 12th, increased XP will be required for the next Artifact mod unlock, so the c

I'm leaving this post as it is with my initial fears and the following edits I've done. But to do a TLDR right away: My concerns (actually from the beginning another redditors concern) were not adressed in the commonwealth thread and thus this post was made. In my opinion our questions have been answered and the project (in my eyes) has regained its legitimacy. As a sidenote I'm still voting no, but I am currently doing that on all proposals with a three day voting period.
Original post:
The poposal is to create an ION DAO which will control the ION funds thats currently in the OSMO community pool.
https://commonwealth.im/osmosis/discussion/3100-ion-dao-and-treasury
ION does not currently have any use case and its role within the Osmosis community is very unclear.
When asking, "What is ION", we also need to ask ourself "What is OSMOS"? OSMOS is a governance token for the OsmosLab community. This is what gives the OSMO token it's value. Without this function as a governanve token, OSMOS would be worthless. Anything that removes authority from the OSMO token will also remove value from OSMO, in my opionon.
Osmosis will soon allow permissioned smart contracts. This means that anyone can propose an idea to launch a smart contract on Osmosis, but for it to launch it would have to pass a vote in governance. We decide what ideas we will se implementet on Osmosis.... EXCEPT when it comes to the ION token! As it stands the ION DAO will be able to launch smart contracts on Osmosis WITHOUT needing to pass a OSMO vote though governance! In my book this is outrageous and will remove alot of value from the OSMOS token since this is what the OSMOS token do. In a worst case scenario OSMOS will mainly exists to be handed out as differents rewards but without most of intrinsic value since there now will be another way to launch smart contracts on the chain - through the ION DAO. EDIT5: This was a conclusion I made since I was not getting a clean answer from support in an earlier thread (my interpretation of this was that it was an honest answer, they were not sure) and the questions in the commonwealth thread went unanswered. Now two members have assured us that this is not the case, see below for their response, which gives the project much needed legitimacy.
Hopefully I'm wrong and the

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Osmo just hit its all time high of 9.34 USD. Osmosis has been killing it the past few weeks and has been holding up very well even though Bitcoin has fallen. With the news of the harmony bridge to cosmos being developed, that adds another top 100 chain that could have tokens such as JEWEL available to be pooled and swapped on osmosis. An ethereum bridge is coming as well, so I think the skyβs the limit for Osmo. Superfluid staking, which allows for pooled assets to be staked is coming soon as well. Also, I canβt forget about the osmo staking/LP airdrops. The cosmos ecosystem in general has been great and Osmo could be listed on crypto.com because theyβre already IBC enabled. Looking forward to future price action.

It really does, I swear!
As I was growing up, I considered school to be a giant waste of time. If I was interested in something I would go out of my way to learn it on my own, and I would read up on all the interesting stuff and make cool stuff until like 3-4 AM and be too tired to go to school. Once I got there, I would sleep in the class.
I was a 'nice kid' so usually the teachers didn't even bother with me, I was also considered fairly bright and could get an average score by just existing.
However, then the 5th grade came in. In my country that's where elementary school gets 'serious'.
So teachers start seriously asking for homework to be done.
I didn't do it. Nope. Not. Even. Once.
They called my parents, I got poor marks because I was not doing homework, I got some scolding and I said I will be doing homework from now on.
Obviously that never happened, it was a lie.
High school starts.
Still doing no homework, one year passes, I get super average marks overall. Whatever.
Second year comes in, we get new teachers, and one of them was so annoyed by me literally refusing to do homework that they called my parents in.
It was at this point that everyone (including my parents) has, for the first time, figured out, that *I have never studied for literally anything at home, nor done any homework*.
Yet I still had average marks, because all it takes for that is to let osmosis do the work and 'learn' enough shit to replicate it.
So I finish High School. Struggle to get into a public uni. Drop out of it.
Fast forward...
Started working as a programmer, earing 10x national average a few years in.
This goes against everything the society teaches you. I was even gaslit by people at uni (of all things!) how I will not amount to anything because I don't want to 'learn math behind programming' or 'theory behind relational databases'.
Yet here I am, outearning all my teachers, and have gained actual respect from my employers and clients because I can get the job done at the highest level of competence.
TL;DR: Fuck school, learn shit you need on your own if you care to.
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
βΒΏQuΓ©?β The male Fiend asked.
He stared. Rob stared. The Party stared. An atmosphere of abject confusion suffused the room, so thick that you could cut it with a knife. Silent chaos reigned as the seconds stretched on; absolutely no one knew what to do, and that included the person whoβd spoken the magic words that threw everything into disarray.
Spanish, Rob thought, as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Itβs actually Spanish. Heβd recognized the Fiendsβ dialect during their back-and-forth conversation between each other. At first, Rob had nearly dismissed it a figment of his imagination. Perhaps he was missing Earth badly enough to hear Earth languages where everyone else heard nonsense. That idea had lasted until heβd tested the waters by throwing out a stock greeting. There was a fundamental difference between shock and shocked understanding, and it was the latter emotion that he saw writ plain on the Fiendβs faces, their emotions as vibrant as glowing neon signs spelling out βwhat the fuck, yoβ.
Heβd spoken Spanish, and theyβd responded in kind.
The two native Elatran languages that Rob had personal experience with were Elvish and Draconic. Neither sounded remotely like languages from Earth, with both possessing distinct words, accents, and intonations. Every race in Elatra spoke English as a universal language dubbed Common β which, in retrospect, was suspiciously convenient β and they had the ability to learn Auto-Translate Skills to make cross-species communication as easy as could be. But Spanish? Or any other language from Earth? Completely absent.
Until now.
βDid you just converse with them?β Elder Alessia managed to ask, in a tone of warring emotions.
βThink so,β Rob replied, glancing back. βIs it seriously true that none of the other races have been able to?β
βYes,β she hissed. βFiendish is incomprehensible. The very sound of it is reminiscent of steel scraping across glass. What few dialogues weβve been able to open with the Fiends have been a result of exchanging symbols and pantomimes, and even those attempts broke down and inevitably led to renewed fighting.β Her eyes narrowed in suspicion. βHow in the world do you know their language?β
Rob shot her a tight smile. βItβs from Earth.β
If the atmosphere of confusion was thick before, now it was so dense that a chainsaw would be needed to cut through it. Rob tried to think of something meaningful to say, but without Diplomacy backing him up and feeding him advice, taking char

My card. My original plan was to fill as many squares as possible with sequels, in an attempt to finish some of the series Iβve started. That quickly derailed when I joined the Hugo Readalong, and my card is now mostly filled with new-to-me authors. The βgoodβ part about this is that now I have even more series to finish for whenever I get around to that sequel cardβ¦
Reviews of my favorites:
Even though The Fated Sky (Lady Astronaut #2) gave us the names of the saboteurs and the broad results of their attacks, it did not diminish the suspense I felt when things were unraveling. Knowing who was behind it might even have made me enjoy the story more, as I could concentrate on the characters and how they were working together to solve the issues. Like the previous Lady Astronaut novels, the book includes technical jargon and scientific language, and like before itβs done really well β enough to make the world immersive, but without requiring that the reader knows what all the acronyms mean or exactly how the instruments work.
Nicole was a great protagonist: compassionate, witty, relentless. It was also fun that some characters with smaller roles in The Calculating Stars and The Fated Sky were given more page time. Kowal always handles her characters with respect and love, which makes them so human and easy to understand.
Mary Robinette Kowal is quickly becoming one of my favorite sci-fi authors, and I hope that she will revisit the world sheβs created, whether itβs on Earth, the Moon, Mars or further out in space.
Like Lois with her first batch of bread, I devoured this book as quickly as I could β with a constant smile on my face and frequent chuckles.
I could say a lot of things about Sourdough. I could say that it was smarter and wittier than I anticipated. I could talk about its themes of work-life balance and consumerism. I could celebrate its focus on friendship and the importance of learning from others (even microbes), but mostly I just want to say: I loved it.
Pilot on me!!
Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

Our scientist has an adventure. hopefully he can handle it.
The coward skill was turning out to be more and more of a hindrance as Sukoβs trip hit the 3rd day. His healing pills had run dry and he couldnβt seem to find any of the herbs he was taught about since the first day. Not with the limited time he had to himself at least.
The two days before he was woken up in the middle of an unplanned nap by rat/mole people rummaging through his stuff. After a quick exchange of blows, they sent Suko running with half of his things stolen. This was probably why his notes had said he needed Tsuko. Since then every time he took even a small break he was attacked again.
He was still going but just barely. He learned what plants he could tear up and extract useful properties from to keep going. None of them with the rare (healing) property, but if he kept moving then he would eventually get out of the mole rats territory⦠Assuming they had one. He had tried to use [Encyclopedia Britannica] yesterday to find out how to get away. But an attack in the middle of him being stuck in his own head knocked him out of the skill. With just a vague sense of needing to outlast them, he had run/walked all night for the second time in a row.
The forest that had been steadily growing lighter had finally hit noon. The sun beat down through the gaps in the canopy, drawing unkind sweat from the already dehydrated Suko. Each step was worse than the last as his dry mouth choked down another pill. The flowers that looked like teardrops had a surprising amount of the hydration element in them, pulling it out with [Osmosis] gave a small amount back in pill form.
It was a cheat method to get sustenance out of the otherwise poisonous plant. Just like he had stolen night vision from the glowing tree bark during the night. Endurance from the brown mushrooms this morning. Speed from the squirrel his attackers had hit by mistake. And his least favorite; he pulled a hand full of grass and extracted the photosynthetic properties. Out of his bag, he pulled his last blank generic potion base. If he wanted to do this again he would need to make more and the ingredients were surprisingly specific.
Combining the two he got his accidental masterpiece. The first time he had done this he was on the verge of exhaustion.

Compared to other blockchains, cosmos has already accomplished what Eth is trying to set forward. I believe this is a discussion that we need to tackle on . Stating who has achieved what, how many achievements, and where the most value needs to go βcoming forward β instead of just investing in bull crap projects.
Now, no offense to other projects. Iβm pretty sure thereβs some really good projects but to me, βI really believe cosmos is just in the beginning stage and these builders are really going to create something thatβs going to raise the bar.β Well, I could be wrong but from what Iβve seen and what Iβve researched, the the products that have came out, speaks a lot of volume . Itβs kind of saying a lot so far but if you guys have any opinions, any comments, letβs talk!
