I've read a wikipedia article about flyby anomalies and it says that "it can cause an unaccounted velocity increase of up to 13 mm/s. Why is this considered as a "significant increase" and not just a simple measurement error?
The EmDrive has been discussed here before but there's an exciting new hypothesis to explain how it might work, and it makes testable predictions so we should find out soon. But in the meantime, the article has me furiously furrowing my brow. Something can heat up if you move it around in a vacuum? Inertia has rounding errors?! Wat? Is this real life?

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Hello fellow Stalkers.I have been testing different mods and addons and I have seen that there is always someone with questions about what mods to run, how to get a vainilla+ gameplay, compatible mods, etc. So I decided to make a post about what I have played and/or tested so anybody can take a quick look and find something that fits. A 2nd Part its in the works.Feel free to comment about writing mistakes, bugs, fixes, suggestions and questions.
Unless Specified, mods run with version 1.0006. Tests done on Steam Version.
Tools and Misc:
- Downgraders to 1.0005 and 1.0004: Drag and drop to your main folder to downgrade since some great older mods need it.
- FOV changer for 1.0006 and 1.0005: Replacing xrGame.dll we can change the FOV to 70, 75, 80, 90, etc. Run the bat and replace the dll.
- FOV SWITCHER: for 1.0003 through 1.0006 and build 3120. Only 90 FOV available.
- ENB: Postprocessing suite for direct and indirect lighting, DOF, Sky, Bloom and Fog controls. (Only tested on some Vainilla+ mods)
- Reshade: PostProcessing suite for Ambient Occlusion, HDR tonemapping, Sharpen, Bloom etc. Tons of effects available. Slows down performance by A LOT, use it if you can run vainilla 120+ FPS (even with hd texture mods). Effect packs recommended: Standard, SweetFX and qUINT. Compatible with most mods without ENB. Use DX9.
- RTGI Reshade effect: Pack of shaders for Reshade: Adds "raytraced" Global Ilumination. Increase shadow on ocluded areas and increase lighting on areas with multiple ray hits. For example, allows the light of your flashlight to bounce and shine on other areas. Very performance intensive. Tested with most mods that do not update bin folder or exe. Might have some glitches when you move through thin objects like foliage. Download
- 4GB Patcher: Patch to XR_3DA.exe to enable usage of 4GB of ram. Included on Autumn Aurora based mods. Compatible with any mod that does not update the same exe.

So I’ll relay this as best as I can, the interview just concluded and I was rushed with my note taking.
My cousin is married to a former naval pilot who deployed to Syria and was an instructor at Top Gun. He was a bunk mate (not on the Roosevelt) of one of the WSOs (rear seat in the jet) who had previously witnessed several of the UAPs in the Atlantic on the USS Roosevelt.
To protect his identity, as he is still serving, I will only say his (the WSO) call sign starts with ‘’R’. The in-law is going to get in touch with R soon for other reasons, and my hope is in relaying this interview to you all here that we can provide my in-law with a list of questions to ask!
Please forgive me if most of these questions were weak, I’ve only been on this topic since July.

- Have you communicated with other pilots about any of this topic?
R told him when the videos first leaked in 2017 that he was present for one. His voice is clearly audible in the video, but my in-law doesn’t recall whether it was go-fast or gimble. He will ask.
- Do you think the 5 observables are achievable by human tech?
Trans medium travel is doubtful but he has reason to believe the other four are feasible or already in existence.
- Any thoughts on how the UAP in the Nimitz video could know the CAP point?
Assuming they were doing training ahead of time (we know they were)…in air-to-air events a CAP point is a combat air patrol marshaling area. It’s realistic use is in defense of the ship. You send some fighters to the CAP point to hang out and use radar to see if anyone is out there and basically just set defensive posture.
It may be delineated in scenarios by a higher authority In a real world situation. If it’s in-house training it’s probably something they (pilots?) came up with ahead of the training exercise.
Eboard card - If the cap point is established for a mission it’s taken with the pilots in the plane on a note card and it’s briefed ahead of time, Fravor would have known ahead of time, ie the knowledge was in his head for sure.
There are multiple layers of air control; multiple shifts and radars making up an ‘air picture’. Those people live in their own world and they distribute information such as what radio frequencies and common reference points are needed to be known by the pilots.
With that in mind it was both in Fravor’s knowledge
