A list of puns related to "Fionn mac Cumhaill"
> In the name of the glorious Knights of Fianna, I shall claim their heads!
Serving the High King of Erin, Fionn mac Cumhaill was a man who earned the achievements worthy for him to be declared the leader and further judged as the greatest knight of the Knights of the Fianna. The fallen Divine Spirit Aillen, the magical Demon Boars, the Horses of the Underworld; he defeated a large number of these wicked yet powerful monsters, and in the end, he defeated even the War God Nuada, his divine ancestor, in battle. During his personal life, he had a fate of trouble with women. His misfortune was legendary, where seven years of his youth were stolen from him for antagonizing a fairy in a dispute concerning his first wife, and then, because of the dispute concerning GrΓ‘inne, his third wife, it resulted in the collapse of the glorious order of knights. Unfortunately, he never realized that he might be the cause of those troubles, leading him to wonder, βWhat the heck went wrong?β
Also his last name is pronounced "cool," not... that.

Me and my friend are debating it
Today on Fate and Phantasms we're making the king of spooks! He's mostly a Knowledge Cleric to pick up some healing water and his thumb of wisdom, but he's also just a bit of an Eldritch Knight for more offensive spells and spearplay.
Check out Fionn's build breakdown here, or his character sheet over here! If Fionn's not the servant you were hoping to roll, we have plenty more to choose from in D&D 5e over here.
Next up: Bring me the biggest spear you have. No, not "a big spear", the biggest you have.
Fionn Mac Cumhaill Defender of Ireland
Fionn would be a warrior/guardian/assasin able to swap between the roles with his first ability. He is about controlling the fight granting bonuses to nearby allies while crippling his enemies.
Passive Ability: Birga Fionnβs spear, created to ward off the sleep effects of the Dulcimer, allow Fionn to have all crowd control effects last half as long on him as they would on other gods.
1st Ability, Thumb of Knowledge -Passive
Sucking the thumb which was burnt by the Salmon of Knowledge Fionn can see his enemy weaknesses and his allies strength.
1st form, Fionn seeβs his enemy weaknesses alerting friendly gods to their flaws while guarding himself from their strengths, gaining damage resistance and a passive aura to friendly allies which grants a 5% boost to attack power which stacks with items and giving Fionn a 5% dmg mitigation from enemy ultimates
2nd form, Fionn alerts nearby friendly gods to their weaknesses giving himself a passive aura which increases magical and physical defense by 5% and granting his ult a 5% damage boost
2nd Ability, Arsenal -Passive
Fionn switches from his spear, Birga, and his sword, Mac an Luinn, and vice versa. Birga gives him 10% penetration and a slightly longer reach for his basic attacks. Mac an Luinn grants a 10% power increase and gives his basic attacks an AOE effect in a crescent shape in front of him. These do not stack with items but can increase through potions and elixirs.
3rd Ability: Bran and SceΓ³lang -Line
Fionn summons his human turned hound companions sending them charging forward in a line in front of him one after the other, Bran cripples the god and SceΓ³lang resets the enemy abilities except their ultimate to cooldown. If both hit Fionn deals 25% more damage to that god for 3 seconds.
4th Ability Ultimate: Defender of Ireland -Passive Summon
Fionn blows the Dorn Fiann, the horn of the Fianna, 3 times. On the first blow he pushes all enemy gods away from his location in a wide circle, on the second all friendly gods within the circle have their abilities cool-down time reduced by 50% for 10 seconds, and on the third 7 warriors are summoned from the tomb of the Fianna they have to be hit 5 times each before dying and hit with 70% of Fionnβs basic attack power they can be hit by abilities but they only count as 1 hit each, any gods in the area of the third horn blast get the passive, Defender, for 5 seconds increasing their damage resistance by 30% this does n
... keep reading on reddit β‘How were these stories collected and compiled and do other authors retelling of the legand add details that aren't part of the original story. I've heard several stories involving him over the years and I'm not sure what's part of the original legend and what's not?
I'd also be interested in finding a similar source for the children of Lir, Oisin and Tir na Og and CΓΊ Chulainn.
If you're looking for the side that travellers, and their advocate groups make sure to ignore and hide, then this is the sub for you. All you will get here is the pretence that they are an opressed people forced to be on the verge of society.
Anyone that has been on the actual recieving side of traveller action will know the real truth about travellers. Those halting sites don't get wrecked all on their own, for example.
This sub was an antidote to the rhetoric peddled by Pavee Point and other such groups. Sulky racing on public roads with total disregard to the general public would never be acknowledged by these groups. Or either would the callout videos inciting voilence. Or general crime that is rampant in the travelling community. Or the movement of drugs, and drug dealing by a significant numbers either. IF, and that's a big if, it is mentioned by Martin Collins (Pavee Point spokesman) and his cohort, it's always followed by the phrase " only a small number of travellers", and quickly followed up with how it's the settled peoples fault in the first place, somehow.
I cannot downvote any post here, only upvote, which the mod has controlled. That's how neutral this sub is. You can look back at my post history here. I have nothing good to say about travellers. There are hundreds of thousands of people in Ireland that feel the same. But in this sub, u/Fionn_Mac_Cumhaill is making sure to promote a blinded view that travellers are just a misunderstood, oppressed, and victimised group. The user posts on the r/Ireland sub with the same rhetoric, and gets downvoted to oblivion, as the majority of users there actually have experienced travellers, and know what travellers are really like.
Lets see if this post stays.
I had never in my life seen this written as Finn McCool until my Mam showed me the name of a drink in an Irish bar in Lisbon a few weeks ago and now I'm seeing it fucking everywhere!
Is it really too much like hard work to spell is properly and not some shit anglicised version?
