>Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker caps off the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga in a near perfect fashion. The storytelling on display vastly outshines the hit or miss quest design. The English voice acting deserve praise for consistent performances of both old and new characters backed by great directing. The dungeons and trials are some of the best in the game that continue to offer escalating challenges while keeping to consistent visual language. Each zone has a unique visual style and tale to tell in this final chapter, despite one or two having a rather slow introduction. All rounded out by a masterwork soundtrack, this MMORPG continues to prove that it shouldn't be missed.

>Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker is hands down the best expansion of the game to date, and one of the best expansions of all time. While the queue times to get in are atrocious and the crashes due to overloaded servers make the game difficult to play, the developers are caring enough to compensate players with free time to make up for the issues. The game is beautiful, the new dungeons are brutally fun, and the overall story arc is amazing. For those looking for a new MMO you can not go wrong with Final Fantasy 14 which is currently and arguably the best MMORPG out at this point in time.

Anyway, I'm looking for some semi realistic art of my Final Fantasy XIV character. I want her to look smug similar to how she looks in the reference photo. You should also include the word carrot in your post to indicate that you've read the post. Ideally I want bust and up but am willing to also consider a headshot.
I have attached a reference image so you can have an idea of what you'd be getting yourself into.
Edit: wow I wasn't expecting such a huge response. Theres so much i might have to commission some other pieces now instead of down the line like I had initially planned. I dont think ill be able to pick only one when i have so much to choose from. As of now I have a few candidates in mind but haven't had too much time to narrow it down due to being at work. I will update this post once I've made a choice so feel free to keep posting until then.
Endwalker is out. Many of us have finished the MSQ and thus have rolled credits on the first major arc, one that many have been with for 10 years. The game continues and is at the height of its popularity. At this point many games would be winding down, the occasional content update more raids but no major new story beats or anything like that. Certainly not more jobs and new skills being added. But this game has no sign of slowing down. In 6.1 we embark on a new quest, a new story with maybe new characters and new ideas. Can Final Fantasy XIV continue in its current state? Do there need to be sweeping changes to the game design in order to keep players, with varying interests, invested and engaged?
There are a few things I want to focus on in this discussion, the first being progression. We're at level 90 this expansion and most Final Fantasy games end their leveling experience at 99. Do you think we see a level squish in order to prolong that experience? Do we see a new form of progression added in 7.0 when we do hit the typical leveling cap? Do we proceed past level 99 into the 100s? What would your ideal choice be? We also have to consider new actions and whatnot. Many jobs feel feature complete and button bloat is certainly an issue. Do we see consolidation or removal of some actions in order to get new ones? What would you like to see as the game progresses?
The next topic would be encounter design and mechanical changes to the game. Are we reaching the end of what is possible with encounter design in Final Fantasy in its current iteration? Does the game need an engine change in order to accomodate new ideas (similar to what, say, Fortnite has done with its new Chapter?) What mechanic ideas do you have that are possible in the current game engine and what are ones you think might not be? The other thing is systems like FATEs. We saw an evolution of the FATE system in Bozja but its unfortunately locked to those specific zones and the open world zones have the same systems they've had since A Realm Reborn. Would you like to see the FATE system scrapped altogether or perhaps Critical Engagements make the move to the open world? Would you like to see individual open world zones be given their own progression systems similar to the ones in Bozja and Zadnor?
Lastly, what do you think the priority of the development team should be? Square Enix is investing a lot of money in Final Fantasy XIV with its explosion in popularity so there are a lot of opport

I was telling her about how encompassing ffxiv was, I showed her the Eorzean Collection website and the housing snaps. She spent like 30 minutes browsing housing snaps (she's an architect) and she got fixated in a particular picture
It was on our same data center and I tell her "we can go visit it" we then turn on the came tranfer to Goblin and start seeing all types of houses for a while. I show her limsa lominsa and how active everyone is.
She was glued to the screen. The big question was then: how's Gameplay.
She's a what I would call a very casual gamer. She hardly plays any games and when she does she gets when she gets harrased by other people.
I explained to her the holy trinity (tank, dps, or healer) and ask her which one she prefers. She says she wants to tank. I switch to my WAR and queue up in Sastasha.
I told her, play the dungeon, il watch for emergencies.
I had a lot of faith in my ffxiv community but I had a mistake and lied to the party:
/party: "Hello guys, I haven't played in a while, I'm gonna go slow"
Maybe I was scared, overzealous, she starts playing I explain all the small minutae of tanking combat, she gets to a really rough start and I need to take control a couple of times. After the tiger fight I realized my lie was causing more harm than good.
/party: "Sorry guys I lied earlier. I'm showing the game to a friend trying to convince her to play. If you guys don't want to I can run the dungeon and not waste your guys times. If it's no bother, I will hand over more control to her"
Healer: "Oh so that's why you were moving funny"
DPS1: "Yeah, of course! Let her free, we will deal with it"
After that all she received was /cheer, /happy, you got this, I'm with you! /amazed.
Soo much fucking support. It was incredible, she handle the dungeon well after that, she got tips from the other players, understood the cone aoe of the WAR agroo and the 1,2 attack combo and stuff.
After the dungeon ended the rest of the party celebrated and cheered.
She couldn't believe how non-toxic it was. She compared it to other games she played when she would get super stressed and people on voice chat would harass her.
It was a eye-opening to me. When your a gamer you sometimes forget just how high the barrier for entry is in gaming. Just how important the social aspect and a good community is.
She download the free trial. Unto Heavesward!!!!
Thanks for the great community guys!
First of all, I don't want to offend anyone, these are just my thoughts about the two MMOS as a new player, I haven't played much of them, so I can be wrong about some things, so please take it as what it is: just an opinion among millions of others. Also, Spanish is my native language, so if something sounds weird to you, it may be because of that. Anyway, I can understand English well, so I played both of them in English.
Seeing a LOT of announcements of FFXIV on the internet saying how great the game was, made me feel nostalgic about my past as a MMORPG lover.
I made my character on FFXIV and I truly fell in love with the anime-like aesthetics. I've been on free trial, playing ARR, and I can't help but being a little dissappointed according to my expectations. There are people recommending to skip ARR (which I see as an unfair and strange thing to do, because it would be buying a game and then buying a pack to skip part of the story?). Really, it's hard to believe it can get better, I mean, I don't want to offend anyone who likes the game, but that's how I feel. I wished I could trust that the game will get better, but I guess I was expecting something different even if it's just the beggining of the game, not the typical MMO with disconnected quests sending you from one NPC to another, going to slash some random enemies and deliver messages, with cutscenes that start with voices and then switch into only text, even the dungeon missions felt like having a lack of explanation. Also, I feel the characters don't have much personality, they feel a bit plain (I guess that's only on ARR by the comments about the other expansions btw) and how the map of the world is made just makes the situation worse, all those invisible walls EVERYWHERE and loading screens in the middle of the city, that just ruins how beautiful the aesthetics are. You can always see the stitches. Sadly, the only thing that kept me logging in were the aesthetics, the possibility of playing all jobs in one character and the gathering system, well also I do like tab targetting, not my fav thing though but I do like it... so doing the quests became like a task I had to fullfil until I got into the great content, and it got more and more dissapointing with each day. I thought "I'm not enjoying it at all, so I'm gonna stop as a respect to the people who do like the game".
Then, by the other hand, I started playing ESO at the same time and I LOVED the questing, I didn't do that many missions bu
