Anna Moffo, who sand the title role in yesterday's stream, does the same today. Lajos Kozma is Edgardo, with Giulio Floravanti as Enrico and Paolo Washington as Raimondo. Carlo Felice Cillario conducts. While the video contains subs, I have also added a libretto for the convenience of viewers.
really hoping we get to see a closer friendship between them in season 2. no love triangle beard situation, just a genuine friendship. felice clearly cares about him a lot and seems like such a good support system through all the chaos, and they just have such a cute dynamic :( also what i love about their friendship is that you can tell felice genuinely cares about him and his happiness because she isnβt pissy after he rejects her or when she finds out he likes boys, she understood and was ready to help and be there for him. i just love that
like i said, PLEASE no love triangle beard situation just a close friendship, iβm manifesting a simon wille felice and maddi quartet
I know people in this sub love jose ramirez but you got to really consider two things. A. He is on a super affordable deal for the next two years and B. He's a free agent after two years and C. The cost to acquire him would be pretty steep.
Bryant gets to much hate, dude really is an elite bat and is close enough to ramirez both offensively and defensively that while it would cost us alot of money, id rather spend the money then spend prospecr capital.
Realistically 25 million/4 vs 12/2 for a slightly better player with an added cost of probably one or two mlb caliber players(kirk, gurriel etc.) And a couple prospects that it just doesn't make sense. Would we all prefer ramirez? Sure, but it is clear to me i would rather Bryant as the first option because it can allow us to trade for other positions.
Think about it like the nfl, would you rather over pay for a free agent and have the luxury to use the pick to acquire things elsewhere, or would you rather trade the first round pick and a starter to acquire a super star. Where we are right now Bryant is far and away the better option of the two given whats at stake. Give me Bryant and then give me like manea for the price of half of what it would take for ramirez.
> Over the years, Bryant alienated many teammates with his no-nonsense approach and single-minded drive to be the best. But Bryant and Gasol thrived together. There was a deep well of mutual respect during their six-plus years together, with both players learning from the other. > > "I learned first-hand what it meant to be the best," Gasol said of playing with Bryant, a five-time champion in his 20-season career. "The effort, the commitment [and] the work ethic he had was unparalleled. It inspired so many players, not just on his team but beyond his team. It inspired a generation, probably multiple generations of players that we see today." > > > Bryant, who diΠ΅d alongside his daughtΠ΅r Gianna and seven others in a helicoptΠ΅r crash in January 2020, also sang Gasol's praises. He repeatedly called Gasol his brother and would use an "hermano" hashtag whenever he wrote about him on Twitter. Bryant also made it clear that he wouldn't have won his final two titles without Gasol, noting that their jerseys should one day hang next to each other in the rafters at Staples Center. > > When asked what was the greatest lesson he taught Bryant, Gasol shrugged at first. "I don't know if I taught him much," he said before recalling a conversation that reminded him otherwise. > > "A close person to him told me that I taught him Π΅mpathy, which is something that I guess I'm honored and proud of to share that with him," Gasol said. > > ------ > > His soft touch, agility under the basket and unselfish play earned him widespread praise. But he wasn't included among the NBA's 75 Greatest Players, an omission that was widely considered a snub. > > Gasol, however, didn't pay that much heed. > > "I don't really care too much about lists," he said. "I think, to a certain degree, they're very subjective. I'm really happy about how I played through my NBA career and the impact that I've had on my teams and teammates, and that's what I care about. Lists, at the end of the day, are to create maybe a little controversy or a little talk here and there, and that's OK. That's part of the sport, and that's how it should be. So I'm not offended by any means. And if I would've been on the list, I wouldn't think that I'm better than some of the many other great players that are not on the list."
And there is still a long list of solid major leaguers available that would be Top 15-20 guys any other year, such as Kikuchi, Soler, Cobb, Seager, McHugh, Tepera, Kim, Melancon, Ottavino, Paxton, Pederson, Yates, McCutchen, Pineda and Villar.
Edit: I made a mistake in the title; Alex Wood signed with the Giants, he's not available.
