A list of puns related to "Ethel Kennedy"
A-side: Battle Hymn of the Republic
B-side: Ave Maria
(The B-side's best, in my opinion)
I haven't been able to determine exactly where the photograph used for the front cover was takenβ a campaign stop in the Midwest somewhere by the looks of it, or possibly Oregon,
but the photo on the back cover was taken while Kennedy was campaigning during the Oregon primary in late May, 1968. Oregonians took offense at the Senator's quick run along their beach and spontaneous dip in the ocean, as it was too early in the year to be swimming in Oregon, they believed. Which contributed, at least in part, to Kennedy's famous loss to Senator Eugene McCarthy in the Oregon Democratic primary,
pictured bottom-right is Freckles, who was maligned by McCarthy during his contest with Kennedy that spring, and who is, next to Nixon's boy Checkers of course, the most famous First Pet never to have lived in the White House.
The third photo seen in the videos is of Andy Williams, Robert Kennedy, Perry Como, and Robert's lesser brother Teddy.
The fourth photo is of Robert Kennedy, Andy Williams and his wife, Claudine Longet. There's a chance the man in the back might be the grassy knoll.
The fifth photo is of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert Kennedy. Robert Kennedy is the one on the right.
The sixth photo is of Andy Williams and Robert Kennedy together.
And the seventh and last photo featured in the video slideshow is of Robert and Ethel Kennedy. Ethel is actually Kennedy's wife, despite their having nearly identical dental records.
